The room was pretty nice but I chose this place because it has it listed that there is a pool and images among the hotels profile show an indoor pool the description just says pool it doesnt specify indoor or outdoor but there was pictures of both. Also the image of the bathroom for the room I selected was different it wasnt that big of a deal but i chose a more expensive room thinking I would be getting a nicer bathroom. Also the ice machine was broken. Another unfortunate inconvenience. And some lady bugs in the room

The staff was outstanding, providing service above and beyond expectations during our stay and especially afterward. We initially had a problem with our TV hookup which Keith fixed for us almost immediately after we called him. Most impressively, we left an item in our room and Keith and his staff found the item and held it for us to pick up on our trip home. Truly outstanding.

The fridge in room wasn't cleaned out from the people who had it before us. Called front desk. Also coffee maker had not been cleaned old coffee pod still in machine and there were no coffee cups provided. Bathroom trash wasn't empty. Floor in bathroom wasn't swept there was dental floss stick under sink vanity. Bathtub drain didn.t work properly you were standing in your shower water. Rust on bathtub around the place water comes out. There is a lot of upgrades.

Overall a poor experience.

The hotel has building on two properties not near one another. The one we stayed in was clean, with some modern updates and plenty of towels. When we finally got into our room, the card locking system took forever to open both the main door into the building and our room. The window inside the room had been left open and there was no crank handle to shut it. I tried to use the room phone to call the office on the other property but the phone didn’t work. The ice machine was on but there hadn’t been ice coming out of that machine for sometime just by looking at it. I think one of the hotel units are used for people booking through a third party.

I’ve stayed here before and it’s always been decent and pet friendly when I bring my dog. It’s significantly less expensive than other local hotels at busier times of the year. This time I had a couple issues the shower head was broken. The coffee maker was a cheap off brand k-cup. The new owner no longer offered free water in the lobby. The biggest issue was I booked through Expedia not knowing the room was in a separate building down the road and in a construction zone, the room itself was as good if not better but the location was inconvenient and not walkable to the nice restaurant on the premises.

Nice simple and clean hotel. Staff were helpful and room was spacious. This is an older hotel that has been nicely renovated and very good value for money. No breakfast at the hotel but the cafe beside it does great food for a very good price. Recommend this place if you are looking for a nice hotel at a great price.

The room even tho it seemed to be renovated still needed attention. The tile floor was not clean, glad I had flip flops. The curtains had mildew spots on them. The cleaning staff did provide plenty of towels, shampoo, etc. Although my sister who was in a different room asked for an extra pillow and was told \"no\". The outside had boards laying around, numerous lights in the parking lot were broken and/or not working. The dog waste disposal can was full and overflowing. The gardens needed attention. It did not provide a very welcoming feeling when we drove in. There was no breakfast offered, not even something packaged to go. There was a restaurant on premise, but eating there once was more than enough. We stayed 6 nights, we won't return to this location.

Our room was located in the building behind the old Muddy Rudder smack in the middle of construction. Our ground floor room was surrounded by no less than 5 rooms all which had dogs that barked all day and night every time you left your room or opened a door. Our room was clean however the toiletries in the bathroom were very obviously used as the conditioner container was nearly empty and two tissues left in the tissue box. The party above us the second night pretty much sealed the deal we won’t be back. Do better Bet Western…

The room door was damaged wouldnt shut they had to come work on it. The trash container outside is in the way of the handicap ramp.the ramp to go in the office was terrible the staff was very courteous

The room I got was not the one I reserved. I reserved a room with 2 double beds but I got a single king bed. The room was reserved for me, another man and my dog.
Parking was terrible. I had to carry all our luggage up and down steps. Will not stay here again and I do not recommend

This was not a pleasant stay, and honestly not the type of hotel you intentionally book—it feels more like a place you end up at after a long drive with no other options. I checked in overnight and was greeted by an unfriendly staff member who made me feel unwelcome right away. The hotel itself is dark, dingy, and clearly in desperate need of a renovation.
Thankfully, I did encounter two bright spots during my stay. The young lady taking care of the rooms was extremely friendly, courteous, and caring. In the morning, I was also greeted by another young lady who was very pleasant and professional. Without these two employees, my rating would have been even lower.
Overall, this was just not a good experience, and I was relieved that I was only staying for two nights. I expect more from a Best Western, and the corporate team should absolutely come and take a serious look at this location.

To begin the check-in front desk is a mile from the property. The outside door card key lock was not operational and it appears it has been for quite sometime. When your key doesn’t work, you have to drive a mile to the front desk to have them reactivated. If you are desperate for a room, this is your place.

We went to check into the hotel and we weren't told about the holding fee on our card. I only had cash on me and they couldn't take that. The service was VERY slow, took a good 20 min to a half hour to be checked in. When we got checked in, they sent us to another building that did NOT have the pool. (The only reason I booked with this hotel was so the kids I brought could swim when we got there). When we went to the building we were staying in, we couldn't figure out the key cards, they were not working with the door to get in. Overall, I was very frustrated and annoyed. I think they should've told us about the fee and the fact that the pool was at a different location from the room we were staying at. They definitely could've been faster with service (I had kids in the car waiting) and they could've explained the keycards and how they worked.

Quiet Stay with a Scenic View, but Some Wear Shows

The hotel is very quiet, both in terms of the rooms and the surrounding area—perfect for a peaceful getaway. The riverside view is lovely and adds a relaxing touch to the stay. While the rooms have been updated, the property is beginning to show its age.
The floors, bed, and desk were clean, but a few maintenance issues stood out. The bathtub had some rust, and there were a few broken ceramic tiles on the bathroom floor. A deep spring cleaning would help—light switches were sticky, and the tops of the baseboards were dusty.
Overall, it’s a tranquil spot with potential, but some attention to detail would go a long way.

We stayed one night to do some shopping in the area. The hotel was ok. There was a terrible odor as soon as we walked onto the floor we were on and our room had it as well. The tub needs to be replaced, it was all rusted but the worst part was the black mold around it. Overall for one night it was fine but beyond that probably wouldn’t recommend.

Upon arrival we were told our accommodation was a very short drive away. Doable, but we would have appreciated knowing before booking.
To get to our rooms on the second floor we had to drag our case up two flights in a dark narrow stairwell that was a sauna. It was hot outside and this unventilated, enclosed space
was unbearable. We are seniors and had to rest between flights.
It is an expensive BW and not worth the money

We booked this hotel because it had a pool. Hoover upon checking in we were informed that we were staying in building that are not on the same property but 5 min away by car and not walkable to the pool. The kids were very disappointed and so were we. This is purely called false advertisement...

More importantly our key cards stopped working and when we tried to get back after dinner we were stuck outside the building. We had to call the front desk and wait until someone brought new cards, while holding a crying baby that wanted nothing else than to go to sleep. Other guests told us the same happened to them so brace yourself for similar adventures...

Bathroom ameneties were limited. Beds were not properly made.

The check in was strange to me because you need to check into a building that's a few blocks from the hotel. The hotel is only 2 levels but if you have any handicap needs, let them know because there is no elevator. The staircases were steaming hot, not sure why they weren't air conditioned like the rest of the place. There is a telephone outside the door if you need to call the front office. The room itself was good, it was clean and had a microwave and small refrigerator. Within 5 miles you will find several restaurant choices.

The whole place, including inside the room, smelled like cigarettes, even though it was a nonsmoking room. The bed was comfortable enough but not the best. Dog friendly for a $30/night fee. My three boys and I had a wonderful stay at the Freeport Inn. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The property was clean and the pool was wonderful. I was shocked at check in when the employee told us we had to leave the check in area (where the pool was) and drive to another location to get to our room. Luckily I was traveling with 1 other adult; if I was traveling with children and looking forward to using the pool I would have been very angry. The photos online are very misleading.

The views from my room were incredible, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job cleaning it. However, there are two areas that need improvement. First, the hotel should consider adding an elevator, as I witnessed an elderly woman struggling to carry her luggage up the stairs. I helped her, but I worry about what would have happened if I hadn’t been there. Additionally, the entrance to the stairs from the hotel is extremely hot all the time, which is uncomfortable for guests.

Okayest view with less than optimal conditions

The showerhead was nonfunctional to the point where it felt like you’re standing under a leaky gutter.

The shower floor was pretty gross and stained.

The pillows were amongst the most terrible I’ve ever had (I’ve been staying in hotels for three decades)

The cable service was freezing up a lot
