Check-in is only until 5:30pm and I informed the property that I would arrive after 6pm. Fortunately I had the phone number because when I arrived at the place instructed, there was no one there. A guard eventually came but it took much longer than it should have.

The unit was nice but the floors were dirty and I asked for them to be mopped but they never were.

I found out on the 2nd day that the sliding glass door to the unit did not lock but did not want to notify anyone until I left since I left a lot in the unit.

They also charge 1300 baht for cleaning and for electricity. I was there 3 nights and they said I used 168 kWh despite having to take the one key with me when I left which turns off the electricity in the unit.

The price was reasonable but the add-on charges, cleanliness and check-in process contributed to my overall rating.

Good location but poor checkin service !

Check in is crazy especially when arrivals are late and confusing because there are so many blocks; you don’t know where to enter to meet anyone in reception. The security guards keep the access keys and one block guard is not aware what others are doing. The fact we had to pay a deposit for utilities was not mentioned. Too many hidden facts.

The property profiles as a hotel but it is a pure serviced appartment but not really serviced. There is no 24 hour checkin. We arrived late and it took an hour to get keys from security guards who were untrained to serve guests with no English. There is minimal service and no facilities. We had to pay extra for electricity. That wasn’t clear on booking. There was no place to buy basics like water, tea or coffee and nothing in the appartment. The view of the golf course from the rooms was lovely and if you are choosing to self cater it might work for you. Overall it’s ok but if you are looking for a hotel experience choose somewhere else.

For the price it was a good size apartment with a nice balcony view of golf course. Very cheap towels and you only get 2. None for kitchen. Very long walk from reception or taxi/shuttle pickup. Pool is much too hot to be refreshing. No gym. Too far to walk to beach. Minimart is always closed. Bed hard as a rock. Asked for a topper which did help a little. Lots of construction going on in hotel so jack hammer is very annoying when in your room.

To whom it might concern,

We must raise our complain regarding the quality and service of Allamanda.

1. The air condition is not working well, it acting as a fan without colding.
We request to fix the issue for 3 times, but there is no change. The room remains hot and impossible to stay in such summer weather.

2. The room lock is not working, we can't even go out without a room lock, and we need to stay in the room for a whole afternoon for them to fix the room lock. Its completely waste our time for such a short trip. The lock is yet to fix at this moment, and we are still remain in the room and they have no intention to change the room for us at all.

3. The telephone is not working as well. Times and times, we need to take 5 mins walk from one side and to another side of the building, and go down to the ground reception to seek help.

6. The response from the reception is always lazy and they could never addressing the issue immediately.

We are very disappointed to recieve such unacceptable quality and service. We please invite Hotel.com to investigate this complaint properly.

Haven't stayed at Allamanda for 13 years & returned as we were celebrating a friend's birthday and playing golf. Like the 2-bed suites for their space and in Bldg 2 for the direct access to the course's 17th hole.

Good clean condition, all well-kept especially as the bathrooms had been modernised. Nothing fancy, but love the easy access with parking almost directly on your door step (we requested ground floor unit for ease of luggage & golf clubs).

It's more set up as a services apartment with kitchen (electric hob, microwave oven, big fridge, toaster and kettle). Wish they'd be a bit more generous with bathroom soap & replenishing shower gel thought.

In Sept low season managed a very reasonable us$50 per night for the suite.

Luxurious, but secluded

Great hotel, property is beautiful. You are in a huge resort near the beach, which is walking distance away. However, you are also very secluded from the rest of Phuket, with a 30 min ride to the city. Airport is 20 min away, so definitely closer than most places, but I wouldn't suggest it if Phuket city is where you want to spend the bulk of your time. That said, service was impeccable, and if you are the type who wants a luxury resort off to your own, this place is absolutely perfect (think Disney resort style).

Not much to get excited about.

Moved in there for 1 night as the resort we stayed in could not accomodate us. Reception was pretty poor, some renovations going on, room was basic, pool was really really basic and also some renovation material lying around, shop was closed, bed was not a double bed, it's 2 single beds moved against each other - rock rock hard. Was pretty relieved to get out of it.

Remote Location but Relaxing Resort

I enjoyed my stay. The room was big and spacious and the kitchen was clean. It is one massive resort and the Lobby is NOT easy to find. The service and staff are great once you do find them. Over all, I would not stay here again unless I was traveling in a group. Laguna is a very remote part of town and overly expensive compared to other areas. I prefer seeing more people but nothing crowded. Just wasn't much to explore in the Area. You can see my Instagram @OysterWilds for pictures of the property

A great start...

It started great with a friendly and helpful reception. Rooms were clean but we noticed from 3rd day onwards it got less and less, down to nothing except making the bed and providing fresh pool towels.
The most disappointing was the breakfast which was in another hotel. The staff was absolutely not attentive and the whole area was dirty and nobody seem to care. Never seen this in Thailand before. The selection was a good mix of western and asian.
Location of hotel is great if you play golf, go to the beach or like to cycle.

The Allamanda junior suite is nice, large and comfortable with kitchen, dining, lounge and separate bed and ensuite. There are no added luxuries (like no tea and coffee) - bed sheets/towels are clean but basic. But in terms of hotel there really isn't anything else going for it. The closest restaurant is at the next hotel over and the staff are more body corporate than concierge. The cleaners are lovely but throughly inconsistent in the way they make up the room.

What this place seems good for is if you want to stay in the Laguna area but want to be fairly self sufficient, ie do your own laundry, cooking ect. If you want the hotel amenities like reception, restaurants, make-up and turn-down service, activities... then this place isn't for you.

For the price, there are better places in Phuket.

Hello. We stayed in this hotel from 10.17.2015 on 01.11.2015 year. We enjoyed staying in this hotel, there were no problems with anything. The most important thing here is very great beach, clean sand. If you wish, you can find a shady place or shizlong ashore. Laguna large territory and to move there go shuttle bus. And the presence of the kitchen, added a lot of good memories. We are here very much!

Nice enough place, comfortable. Access to other resort facilities is at extra cost. Beach area was not clean, possibly due to non peak season. Located some distance from popular tourist areas. Good restaurants outside of the resort area and the restaurants will pick you up and return you to your accommodation. Metered taxis cheaper then resort based transport.

The hotel is well situated in the Lugana and perfect if you are staying for a wedding at the Chapel across the street. The staff are very helpful and there is a shuttle bus on demand around the Laguna resorts. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served in the hotel next door but is adequate and easy.

The entire resort was closed for renovations!

I'd booked a 2 bedroom suite at Allamanda between the 15th and 18th of August, 2014 and had paid for the rooms in advance. When we arrived in Phuket and were taken to Allamanda, we found that the entire place was deserted - not a soul in sight and one person, who could barely speak english, explained that the resort was closed till December! Luckily for us, we were there to attend a wedding at the Angsana Laguna Phuket and the hotel staff there were able to call Allamanda's management and arrange for us to stay at a resort nearby called Laguna Holiday Inn. Please double check if this place is actually operational before you book a room!

Lovely Hotel, close enough to all thats needed

Arrived at this hotel to a warm welcome, the staff were very helpful at all times. The location is not on the beach, but is a 5 minute free shuttle bus away. We rented bikes which gave us perfect oppurtunity to explore this quite area of the Laguna. Beach was close, local shops and restaurants far enough away to avoid all the noise and traffic but close enough to nip out to, less than 5 minutes on bike or free shuttle. The hotel swimming pool was fantastic, nice large pool for some decent swimming, and 2 small shallow pools for children. The rooms had everything that you'd need. A living area with flat screen tv andcouch for 5 people, a ding area with table and chairs and a small kitchen area so we could buy fresh fruit from the market and cut it up then pop things in the full size fridge.Theres even a small electric hob that we could heat things up we got from the market... the BBQ chicken kebabs were amazing, but we heated them up thoroughly in the room.. just to make sure... There is also a microwave. Our room backed right on to the road and we didnt hear a thing.
The hotel is not the most exclusive uber modern, but at this price, we didnt expect that. We spent a small amount of time in the room (apart from sleeping) but the time we did we were more than comfortable.
Not a complaint about this hotel. Highly recommended, we'd consider coming back here without a doubt

The ugly sister of Laguna, but good value

Located in the Laguna resort area, this hotel is a distance from the beach and has limited facilities. But you get what you pay for - it is much cheaper than the resorts on the beach You can easily get to the beach and use the restaurants in nearby hotels (but not their pools & other facilities). You can ride around on the free shuttle buses and get anywhere in the Laguna complex.

The Hotel when we arrived was very disappointing. After a long flight no cool water no welcome drink just confusion. When you arrive you want a happy greeting to start your holiday this was not there. We were across the road which was no problem. The people on the Desk said we need to put pass ports in safety deposit box. I said would come back in morning. When in Room there was a safe so that was strange. In morning we asked directions to beach and how the shuttles worked they just looked and said no shuttle. This was confusing as there were shuttles every where.

One day we asked to check our pick up and they said you will be charged to find out could not believe this answer.Also we told them on check in late check out 2:00 pm which they said fine no problem and on the day we went to out room to check out the swipe card had been taken off and could not get in room, even though we re checked in the morning.

Overall much better resorts to stay at and very poor staff.

The hotel allamanda was a nice hotel the staff was very pleasant and courteous 1 thing that was annoying was that the pool by the bar, hotel users are not allowed to use it we had to use the pool over the road and the pool closes at 8pm , also one of the men drivers on the shuttle boat was very grumpy and said nothing not even a hello, you are not told anything about the hotel and what it offers we paid for sun loungers on the beach not knowing that the alamanda had free ones, the food at the allamanda was very nice and nicely priced

Good value hotel in Laguna area

Room was cleaned daily and recently renovated. Buffet breakfasts included in price were excellent. Restaurant and pool bar prices were cheap especially during daily happy hour 5:30 - 7:30. Staff were friendly & accommodating. Unfortunately main pool is now only available to owners of the private villas in block one however there is a pool for block 2 guests & another for block 3 guests, large in size with separate spa & baby pool but nothing special. Free shuttle runs between the resorts around the lagoon til 11:30pm. Close to beach & cafe's / restaurants. Spa facility available but we did not access this. Prices seemed quite expensive especially when compared to those offered by ladies near beach area of nearby resorts. Laguna area offers a reprieve from the crowded Patong beach area of Phuket, is more secluded but still has plenty to offer. We attended a wedding at the Wedding Chapel which offers a beautiful romantic setting for an intimate wedding.

This was a very suitable place to stay with a family. It was clean, tidy and spacious. House keeping was a little inconsistent with forgetting to replenish bottled water and replace used towels and flannels. Neither of the two safe boxes worked and it took 2 days for the technician to arrive. Mostly it was a pleasant stay.

Decent price, but not decent service

We had 2 reservations, 1 for a single night, and 1 for two nights, both in my name. This caused GREAT confusion upon check-in. They checked in one room (in the afternoon), and when they went to check in the second room, they insisted we provided the keys for the original room. I'm not sure why the keys for one room are necessary for a separate room, on a different reservation. The people in the first room were not anywhere near the hotel, and it was a great hassle to get the 2nd room checked in.

Gorgeous facility, But Beach Property Needs Work

Rooms were wonderful with a beautiful view of the pool and golf course. Free breakfast was excellent. Their beach property was fair. You have to take a boat or shuttle to get there. Half the beach chairs had broken slats. They closed up their beach property at 6 pm, leaving us in the dark with no ride back to the hotel. We found it difficult to navigate through the resort complex back to the rooms from the beach.

Upscale Best Western, but still too pricey!

I gave this hotel a 4 out of 5, but honestly would not have if they had not upgraded us to a nicer room upon arrival. The room we ended up in was VERY spacious! It was the size of a regular hotel room, PLUS a living room & kitchen area that was twice the size of our actual bedroom. However, we did pay a high rate per night to begin with in comparison to our other hotels throughout our stay in Thailand (which included Bangkok and Chiang Mai) which I believe was actually outrageously expensive. The buffet breakfast was fairly substantial which you would expect for the cost and was good, but not great. The staff was friendly, but sometimes communication was a bit challenging due to language differences, which I did not encounter quite as much in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. The shuttle to the beach came pretty quickly and only took 5 minutes to get you to the beach, where the more upscale resort was located which was part of the whole complex. The prices of everything over there were astronomical which made me understand why at our Best Western, the cost was much more than even a similar facility in the U.S. would have cost. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in November and although our stay was not bad, I'm not sure I would stay here again for the kind of money we spent.

This place is really relaxing. Service is tip top, breakfast wonderfull, Pool got perfect temperature. never crowded. This place was built for relaxation. But the ac is next to the bed and it is loud. Fix that problem, install new bigger tvs and you have a 4+star hotell.

Nice hotel, lovely room overlooking golf course. Very peaceful. Free use of hotel shuttle buses and boat over the lagoon to beach. Food in hotel OK, but expensive. Eat in the many restaurants on the beach, really really good.

Beach lovely but sea is quite rough, not suitable for young children.

What a surprise

I found this hotel while I was already in Thailand and was definitely pleasantly surprised. The hotel is part of the Laguna Phuket which meant I had access to a free shuttle and ferry. The beach was a ferry ride a way but it was beautiful. The staff is super friendly and nice. The rooms were beautiful. I got upgraded to a one bedroom suite.

Nice place to stay. would recommend to friends. Just a few picky things. The place is not for children. Great for adults who like to relax. They advertise that you can use the other hotels in the group, but there is a fee included. Watch out for golf balls as you lay by the pool as the pool backs onto the golf course.There was a bad smell in the bathroom, but everything smells abit. Also it was had to get towels for the pool and room. The buzzword was we are out!

Good location, but getting older.

The hotel staff were quite friendly, and eager to serve. They were quite helpful getting us daybeds when it turned out Expedia had booked us into a room with too few beds for our family. The food was good, and the location nice.

However, you can no longer use the facilities at other Laguna hotels unless you pay a massive \"day user fee\" which for our family of 4 was almost as much as the room itself. This makes the hotel much less value than it was back when staying here allowed use of the other resort hotels' facilities.

Lejligheden var ren da vi kom, der stod rengøring hver dag. Ved ankomst fik vi af vide at der er rengøring to gange om ugen. Efter 6 dage spurgte vi hvornår de ville komme. Fik af vide de var på vej. Fik yderligere en rengøring mere på to uger

Det låg väldigt långt ifrån allting, frukosten på ett annat hotell. Dålig information från personalen då man checkade in. Men med en moppe kunde du åka dit du ville och hotellet var lugnt, helt okej säng, rent och snyggt, däremot väldigt strikta regler att följa.

Очень комфортабельные апартаменты в Алламанде 3 с большой гостиной, мини-кухней с электроплитой и полным набором посуды, тостером и чайником (что позволило готовить дома и не брать завтраки в соседнем отеле), спальной и санузлом, большой террасой с видом на гольф.поля. Услужливый персонал, чистота, хорошая система шатл-басов и катеров для поездок по району Лагуны создают все условия для качественного отдыха при отличном соотношении цена-качество в этом отеле, выгодно отличающем его от непомерно дорогих отелей первой линии.

酒店較舊，房間寬敞，部份空調只有風，無冷氣出，晚上睡覺時會熱醒。游泳池畧小且不甚清潔，常見浮游物及水質不夠清澈！前台服務員友善及helpful 。區內小巴方便。
