Despite the elegant appearance of the lobby, this is not more than a 3 star property. The room is poorly designed, with minimal storage space and only one hook for hanging (in the bathroom). The bathroom and closet share a sliding door so that both cannot be opened at the same time. Worst of all, at check-in we were notified that the climate control system is shut down during October, so we had to keep a window open. Even so, the room was too warm to sleep comfortably.

Hotel was located in a very convenient spot, just ~5min walk from the main Hongdae area. Because it isn't in the main Hongdae area, it was very quiet and easy to get to (not overly crowded). Our room was spacious and clean, and check-in was easy. One odd encounter we had was with the cleaning staff. We had the do not disturb sign on and left to grab some food. When we came back, we ran into the cleaning lady in the hallway, and asked if we could just have 1 towel. She said she would give us everything (towels, water, tissue etc) and carry it to our room for us. At first we told her we could carry it (our room was on the opposite end of the hall) but eventually let her walk with us. When we got to our room, she dropped a water bottle and told us she would get us a new one. We said it was fine (it wasn't broken or anything) but she kept insisting she would get us a new one. We didn't want her walking back and forth so we told her it was okay, we'll keep this one and she suddenly became expressionless and asked us (rough translation) \"Do you confirm that you're rejecting my offer?\". We said yes and she left. It wasn't a big incident but we just felt really confused and a bit creeped out.

NO CONTROL OF AIR CONDITIONING!!! It was set up by hotel at 25-26 C. Hot in daytime and summer. Staff cannot help at all with that issue.
Room is lack of lights, quite of dark at night, only dim lights.
Bath without shower curtain, water spreading everywhere
High price but did not get what I paid for. Not recommended at all. Waste of money but not comfortable at all.

The staff at reception are very friendly and helpful. The room is decent, but would suggest adding a shower curtain to the shower area to prevent the bathroom floor from getting wet during showers. Soundproofing of the room can be improved for a more comfortable stay.

Walking from the train or bus station to the hotel can be challenging in the hot summer, as there is limited shelter along the route.

By now I've stayed three times at the Amanti Hotel. It's great in many aspects: Good, modern rooms. Very close to a metro station on the line that takes to both airports and on the inner loop. It's well located in Hongdae, close to many dining options but removed from the busiest streets.

A couple blocks from the main street but plenty of restaurants and convenient stores around.
Service at hotel was great.
Staff were able to provide with me extra pillows.
Only issue was the air conditioner was centrally controlled so I had to open the window to cool down.

Listen to the reviews and keep your AC operational

I would consider staying again only under the following circumstances 1) if their aircon service is operational or 2) if during the times when it isn't, it is cold enough outside to cool the room through the small window opening. Maybe at most 8 degrees celsius. More than that no way I am staying there. No way. And while at it I would avoid staying at hotels that restrict air conditioning at all. Just charge us more. We'd be happy to pay. So we can stop worrying all day if the weather will be cold enough at night for us to feel comfortable getting sleep. I would pay more not to worry and I'm sure others would as well. Luckily for us it was snowing that time.

Other than that it's pretty cool. Others mentioned about the tub and the water splashing around wets the entire floor and it is true. The shower head could be better as well especially if you're on the taller side. Have to bend over quite a bit to get it aimed at your head.

But it is clean and was overall a good stay.

It was a very good location. The lobby was beautiful. When we got to our room, we found it very dark with no outlets close at the bedside. Also, we were not a fan of the tub and handheld shower type. There is no full door to prevent the shower spray from wetting the floor also. We did appreciate the large room but found the pillows very soft. Reasonable stay but not amazing.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The lock on my son's room broke, so he couldn't get in. The staff promptly fixed the problem by calling a repair man. The repair took a long time, so they gave my son an upgraded room. They were all amazing and polite. The rooms had bathtub which we loved. The beds are very comfortable and clean.

The room was much smaller than I had expected. I also tried calling the lobby multiple times but they never answered. When I went down, they stated they don't answer during busy times. The lighting in the washroom is very dim so for girls that like putting on makeup, you may have to resort to going to the window and laying all your items down on the rim.

Close to the Exit 1 of Hongdae Station and you could arrive at the hotel in about 5-10 mins. The street felt safe enough to walk alone at the nights. And so many cafes were around the hotel! If you travel alone, this hotel would be nice choice for you.

Its a nice hotel. I love the location.
In room:
Ventilation is very good as you can open window. Room is very warm (or I will say its a bit hot), heater is always on.
I love bath tub, its deep soaking.

Last order for room service at 1730. You have to go out for night snacks. There has lots of food near by( just 2 blocks away).
There has a 24hr laundry (coffee laundry /cafe laundry) just 2mins walk. I will definitely stay here again.
