RYSE has become the one place I always return to in Seoul. Over the years, the service has remained consistently warm, attentive, and dependable. The team is always incredibly helpful, quick to respond, and genuinely committed to making each stay a wonderful one. Hotel location is just 2 mins walk from Hongik Univ station, so you can take the train directly from the airport to get here. It is surrounded by restaurants, shopping malls, and the food street and shops are just round the corner.
Hotel reception is located on the 3rd floor and the staff can speak good English which helps a lot since I am not familiar with Korean language.
Room is clean, spacious relative to other similar hotels, and most importantly the shower area is confined and separated from the WC, which keeps the bathroom floor dry.
There is a CU convenience store just next to the hotel where you can get ice coffee, peach drink, instant noodles, snacks, etc.
Hotel reception is located on the 3rd floor and the staff can speak good English which helps a lot since I am not familiar with Korean language.
Room is clean, spacious relative to other similar hotels, and most importantly the shower area is confined and separated from the WC, which keeps the bathroom floor dry.
There is a CU convenience store just next to the hotel where you can get ice coffee, peach drink, instant noodles, snacks, etc.

At the hotel lobby, you will be directed to check in at level 3. The front reception spoke pretty good English which helps a lot since I can’t speak Korean except for a few words.

The rooms are quite spacious compared to other hotels in Seoul. The bathroom has separate shower and WC areas. My rain shower is not working properly but it didn’t bother me so I did not request for a room change.

I have stayed at different hotels in Hongdae but this one is the best. No need to look further. The breakfast is good (outside not easy to find breakfast place, Korean only drink coffee in the morning, no breakfast). The size of the room is decent. Can’t believe they provide a complimentary red wine, cheese, grapes and facial masks!!! The staffs are so helpful for helping us to load our extra luggages and ordered a mini van for us to the airport. RYSE is the only hotel I will stay when I return to Seoul.

I LOVE staying at the Ryse!! I’ve stayed at the Ryse 3 times now and it’s almost always my go-to whenever I visit Seoul. The staff are very professional and friendly, the rooms are nice & clean, and it is close to the train station and steps away from Hongdae, which imo is the best area to stay at (closest from airport, best late-night restaurants, though further from everything else but can train to Myeongdong, Seongsu, Gangnam easily). It is a little pricy, but for the same price point in Seoul, Ryse is the best

Blue Bottle is at level 1. Very convenient. Staff’s friendliness is average. I didn’t see anyone going out of their way for us. Our room sleeps 4 and it was perfect. Bathroom is huge. The concept of merch was very creative. The building also houses street wear brands. It was cool. Check out Hongdaematgib (casual Korean dining) which is only 3 mins walk from the back door.

Overall a good experience the hotel room is a bit squashy for 4 people but shower facility is good. The staff siad it was 2 queen beds but it feels like a double bed to me. Also the wordt part is toothbrush is not complimentary and they charged us 6000 won for the 2 toothbrush. Slippers are also horribly uncomfortable.
