I loved this campsite I wish I could have stayed more days. The staff was so kind. I switched villa rooms twice because I was scared of climbing up ladder with the loft. And they changed me to the room with stairs. The breakfast was amazing. I wish I had more time to enjoy all the hikes and activities before going to Kyoto but I would visit again.

Couldn’t ask for a better place to view Mt Fuji. We could see it whilst having breakfast. This place is unique in it’s set up with a glamping option & a villa option. We chose the comfort of the villa which was spacious, cosy with great amenities. There was a huge jacuzzi & large dining area in the villa.
The grounds were well landscaped with the cherry on the cake being the view of Mt Fuji. We were lucky enough to see it clearly on our 2nd day there.
The staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was interesting as we cooked part of our own meal with other options available on the buffet table. The freshly squeezed orange juice was the best ever & plentiful. Would highly recommend everyone to include breakfast in their stay.
There were 2 new baby goats on the premises who entertained with their delightful antics.
This was a comfortable, rustic stay which was unique & wonderful. Having a car makes it more accessible.

The stay at this place was an enjoyable and memorable experience. The location is a bit far from the attractions but with a car it is not an issue. I am not sure if there is a shuttle service.

We were really excited to stay at HANZ Outdoor Resort, but the experience was a major disappointment. Communication was poor from the start. We were told we needed a local number for pickup, but when we called from the bus station using one, the staff said they didn’t speak English and refused to pick us up without any clear explanation. We had to take a taxi instead.

There were also several unclear and misleading policies. We were told we could chop wood, but no one showed us where to do it or provided tools. After a small initial batch, we were told we’d be charged for additional pre-cut wood. The biggest issue is that outside food is not allowed at all, forcing you to either arrive before 7 PM (when the lobby closes) or pay ¥4400 per person for a very underwhelming meal you have to grill yourself.

The villa didn’t match what we booked on Expedia. We paid for a full mountain view but didn’t receive it, and staff gave inconsistent explanations (“not functioning,” then “reserved for tomorrow”). They eventually offered to move us while we were already settled and in the middle of grilling. The layout was inconvenient, with no separate shower, weak water pressure (took 45+ minutes to fill the jacuzzi), an overheated upstairs sleeping area, and very narrow stairs. Cleanliness was also questionable ~ we found long black hairs in the jacuzzi despite having blonde hair.

Overall, extremely disappointing for the $650 per night price. Would not recommend.

This place looked amazing for villas. But if it comes down to ordering dinner for bbq. I would never do that again. It was so much meat but not other things to cook with. No oil or butter. Just raw vegetables and meet. We wasted our money for this. But over the hotel was soo pretty. If you really wanted to do glamming. You will enjoy the experience.

The pod was amazing, a good size for 2 people with a comfortable bed. We stayed when the temperature dropped into the minus and it was plenty warm enough in there. Each pod gets it's private bathroom and cooking area. We added on the dinner package last minute for one of the nights which they kindly organised. The food quality was great and you got instructions on how to cook each meat if you are unsure. We had breakfast each morning, you get plenty of food but it is the same each time. The other 2 nights we walked 2 minutes to a place which does amazing burgers. I think the only downside is not having a little tuck shop on site for snacks or an option to be able to bring your own to cook on the BBQ because they only arrange the coal if you've ordered the dinner. But we were there to relax before going back to the city and we managed to do just that. We also got to experience our first onsen as they allowed tattoos. The staff were amazing and I would definitely go back.

Didn’t like the accessibility of the area. Hard to get a taxi. Loved everything else. Unique, clean, wonderful experience. Only wish that it didn’t rain the entire time we were there 😂 totally out of ur control. lol will have to return again and hope for no rain next time and views of Mt Fuji.

This is the highlight of my trip to Japan. A necessary repreive from the busyness of Tokyo with nature at my doorstep. Making my own breakfast was not ‘roughing it’.. my kids and I loved it.. along with a relaxing evening campfire.. I can’t say enough about this place.. Fuji’s power in the perfect spot.. I slept like I haven’t slept in years..

Absolutely LOVED our stay here. Staff were amazing and so lovely! The beds were really comfortable! The half board of dinner and breakfast was fantastic!! Was plenty of food for my daughter & I. Everything was so clean and the bathroom had so much room! We loved glamping in the pods and I hope can do again some day!!

Beautiful property!! Magical views, cozy stays and warm decor made for an unforgettable stay. Don’t forget to try the public bath for a relaxing soak after hiking.

Property provided fun activities to take advantage of the beautiful environment.

Definitely need to arrange transportation as restaurants and main town is not in walking distance and public transport does not come often.

Our booking confirmed free minibar , spa access free and welcome drink on arrival , when we checked in we was advised this isn’t for glamping only villa but our booked stated it was for us, also dinner was fully booked for the evening which we didn’t know needed to pre book , we paid $1400 for 2 nights very expensive considering nothing was included as we was advised , upon check out a cleaner was hurrying me up at 9:10am and check out was 10am wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here over priced and isn’t worth it , hotel wasn’t willing to offer us compensation for the mistake also

This is the best experience i have ever had in a hotel/Airbnb, this case \"glamping\". I highly recommend you book a cabin and dinner. They will present everything for you and start your own personal grill to cook. The service and explanation of how to cook was incredible and so was the food. The grounds of this area are clean and cozy. They have a rental shop for many board games supplies like lanterns, beverages all free. They have hot baths, staff was very helpful. I could have easily payed double the cost for a cabin and dinner/breakfast and still feel i received value. The only downside is you will likely taxi from the kawaguchi station, and taxis in Japan are double the cost of north america. This is a truly beautiful experience. The backdrop of mt fuji is of course breathtaking. This place is really somwthing special to experience and the cost is literally so cheap for what you will get. Enjoy.

Excellent location, we were upgraded to a cabin as the glamping pods weren't in use and the cabin was amazing! There was a beautiful hot tub/bath in the room and it felt super cosy with the log burner. The breakfast was good, however we didnt try the bbq for dinner as it seemed very expensive and there were lots of local restaurants that were significantly cheaper and just as delicious. The only negative was that they didnt replenish the logs and on the last few nights didnt replace the towels in their usual place and just left them in the doorway on the mat where you leave your shoes which didnt feel very clean. Despite this, I would still highly recommend as ovedall we loved our experience.

Wow, this place was amazing. From the moment we arrived, we had a warm welcome. All hotel amenities were described and they had so many activities and a scavenger hunt! Our room was beautiful, very clean, spacious, and they provided everything you need and more. We enjoyed the hot tub and had a drink in our private backyard. We enjoyed breakfast with a view of Mount Fuji. Will be back for sure!!!!!

We stayed in the glamping part of the property. In the dry this would have been great but unfortunately our short visit was started in the rain and the cold. It would have been better if the pathway from main reception to the tent was paved or maintained better as it was quite muddy getting our bags to and from the glamping pod and the car. We have stayed in glamping sites before that have the toilet as part of the room but this was separate, very nice but if you need to go in the night it means getting dressed and going out in the dark and the wet. We didn’t realise that the included breakfast would be self catered. They provided ingredients for ham and cheese tomatoes, soup to heat up and other bits that were great but sitting outside in 4 degrees and the rain making our breakfast wasn’t great. Again, would have been fun in the warm and dry but the weather wasn’t good. Would have been nice for that to have been clear when booking or to have an option of outdoor DIY or indoor service. Staff were polite and helpful, the indoor bar was great with a selection of home made fruit wines as well as beers and Japanese spirits.

It was a very cool place to stay. I gave 4 stars for a couple of reasons. First, the google maps link through the Expedia app took us on a 30 minute walk out of the way, in a subdivision. Then we had to search for the correct address and walk another 30 minutes. This was an added stressor because there were no transportation options in the area and we had to walk the an hour with our luggage. Second, it was unclear to me from the description that we were really staying in the woods in a fancy tent. You might get a little muddy during your walk. If you stay in the tent area, you only get the option to cook your own breakfast (with supplies from the hotel) at your tent. You can’t eat at the main hotel. Lastly, you have to reserve the sauna if you want access.

Overall it was a very cool experience. Just double check your google maps location and know what you’re signing up for.

When we stayed there, we were assigned to a very high-up camp pao. The snow was thick at the time, and we had a lot of luggage, which made getting up to the pao somewhat challenging. Fortunately, the staff helped us carry our things.

However, having to barbecue outdoors in extremely cold weather was not a great experience. While the pao itself was very clean, the barbecue tent was both very cold and not very clean.

Overall, I think the experience would be much better if visited in the summer，at least no in the snowy day which we didn’t expected in late March.

Absolutely incredible Glamping experience. The hospitality is exceptional, the villa we stayed in was cozy, and the views of Fuji are top notch, especially while bbqing or hanging out in the jacuzzi. The half board (curated bbq dinners, and breakfast buffet) were phenomenal - great mix of meats and seafood both nights with a special prepared dish as well. If you’re looking for a one of a kind experience - this is your place!

Great place in the lake Kawaguchi area. A very large space that would have easily handled 4 even though we were only three. Lots o activities especially for families. A great onsen on premise. Staff was super helpful and friendly even bringing us some roasted corn to our room as we showed interest as we walked past him.

Villa跟整個度假村都很整潔有質感, 服務人員好溝通. 小孩在度假村內的活動中得到很大樂趣. 早餐buffet好吃. 晚餐自己烤BBQ很有趣, BBQ的份量是足夠的, 但是烤肉會花很久時間, 我們並沒有把米煮成功, 肉也不小心烤得有點老, 可以嘗試一次就好. 在度假村可以看到富士山(山頭的部分), 冬天山頭上的靄靄白雪很漂亮. Villa的空調很暖, 還可以體驗生火. 大人在渡假村獲得在都市不容易得到的體驗, 也可以好好休息. 因為小孩自己就可以在度假村玩得很開心.
