The hotel is definitely old and in need of Reno’s. We stayed in one of the side buildings, which was incredibly dusty, we ended up sleeping with masks and vick vapour rub every night. Waking up with sore throats and the worst congestion. The beds are horrible, very hard, can feel the springs stabbing you in the back, I woke up the first night at 4am with a horrible migraine from the springs in my back and ended up sleeping on a two seater couch for the remainder of my stay. Asked for an extra pillow, was declined. Breakfast and dinner buffet was good selection and staff was nice to us.

The room was spacious and comfortable, though the décor and hotel is a bit outdated. The breakfast was amazing — delicious food with lots of options which we enjoyed with luscious views of the beautiful national park. However, we received an email before check-in informing us that we were not allowed to use the public bath on the property, which was disappointing since it was one of the features we had looked forward to. Overall, a pleasant stay but with some missed expectations.

Nestled in a quiet forest, this property feels like a peaceful retreat. One morning, we followed the trail to the Fuji Viewing Field, and the sight of Mount Fuji there was absolutely breathtaking. The buffet breakfast was another highlight: it offered an excellent variety of healthy options, and from our table, we were treated to yet another astonishingly beautiful view of Mount Fuji. The property also had several sports facilities available, and we especially enjoyed playing table tennis. I would love to do swimming and others when I go back there next time. Our room was spacious, and overall, every part of our stay felt satisfying.
The only area that needs improvement is the telephone system. We booked through Expedia, but the phone number provided never connected us to anyone. We called numerous times, only to be hung up on with no response at all. This forced us to take an expensive taxi to the property instead of using their free shuttle service. I explained to the reception and they dialed that number getting only the same result.
I hope this feedback reaches both the property and Expedia. I suggest you test the provided phone number yourselves to see the issue firsthand; this problem must be fixed promptly to keep future guests from being disappointed.

After hiking Mt Fuji this spot was a great place to rest and recover. The staff that greeted us were extremely friendly and helpful. We checked in to our large room that was clean and had everything we needed. We took advantage of the dinner buffet in the evening and then the breakfast buffet in the morning. The breakfast buffet was especially good and at a very reasonable price. The property itself is beautiful and provides a great view of Mt Fuji from the dining room. We also used the shuttle service to the nearby train station. If I’m in the area again I would definitely revisit.

Property was located in a good location. We were upgraded which was a nice touch, unsure of where the free VIP Expedia gift card was located as wasn't given one. Room was large however could do with a refurb, some chipped paint and dated decor. However the stay was nice and the reception staff were friendly. Did not use the restaurant. Free parking and restaurants etc nearby but will need to drive for these.
Room was clean but as mentioned could do with a refurb but wouldn't deter me returning.

This hotel is located in a relatively “remote area”, far from public transportation. The hotel provides shuttle bus to and from the train station. The management was very nice to arrange the service and to take care of the luggage. They do not hesitated to talk to you on any issues in emails. if you arrive earlier in a day. The guest room is spacious, maybe because the hotel was built many years ago.

This place should not be called a resort. It was awful and creepy. It was very gross, worn down, out in the middle of NOWHERE. We couldn’t even get a taxi out there to take us to the Kawaguchiko station for our bus at 7:30am. The employee said you can walk it’s only 1 hour 😂 mind you it was icy from snowing the night before. Unfortunately, we had no choice and had to walk through the forest at 5am. It was a nightmare of a stay, I wanted to check out immediately but it was 8pm and limited places. Avoid this place all together.

Really enjoyed our stay at Fuji Premium Resort hotel.
I got a room that has two bedrooms in it, probably the biggest room we ever had from all of our stays in Japan. It has a separate sunroom and living room and a kitchen.
Hotel staff was friendly as well.
The laundry machine is free to use, you only need to pay for using the dryer. I had a big load of washing and only needed 300 yen for the dryer and my laundry was perfectly dry when I pick them up.
Parking is free too.
You do need to drive out a bit to find restaurants, but only a short drive and there are plenty to choose from.
We were there in winter. So, the hotel was not busy. This place is probably packed in summer.

Highlight of our stay here is definitely the traditional Japanese buffet breakfast - a healthy spread, the food is delicious and you can see Mr Fuji while dining by the window.

The rooms are well heated but a tad old and the furnitures can certainly use some upgrading work.

Also as the resort is tuck away in a forested area away from the town, getting to any convenience store or restaurant would be a challenge without a car.

Travel to the resort was challenging. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived hungry and went to the dinner buffet to find all the hot food cold. Instead we picked at the dessert bar and fresh fruit.

Our room had dark stains on multiple surfaces and was extremely dated. We heard blood curdling screams multiple times throughout the night, further prompting us to feel unsafe during our stay.

As we had already paid for the breakfast buffet, we went to find the same issue with temperatures. We left on the first shuttle out that morning.

1 of the worst accommodation i have seen in Japan. We have been travelling for 3 weeks and stayed at many places but this was 1 of the worst 1. Its overpriced, they charge extra to use the pool and the bathhouse.

The rooms smelled, the pillows and mattress smelled sweat. Stains on the rug.

Staff were friendly, the hotel transfer driver was so nice but i believe management needs to step up.

1. The property is about 25 minutes drive from the central Fuji town. And it’s deeply in the forest.
2. There was no phone in the room. When I want to make a call, I went to the front desk and asked the staff if I could make a local call. They said no because they do not lend phone to guests and there is absolutely nothing they can do for me (word to word from their translator).
3. There was a huge humming bug in my room and I had to kill it.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

日本人の若い子よりかなり好印象でした。
が、反面翌日朝の清掃のおじいちゃんは、おはようでもなく全く我々の存在も気がついてない感じ。
廊下に使用済みのタオル乱雑に置きっぱなし、
まぁ、隅々まで行き届いてる感じはしないかな。でした。
お部屋はアップグレードしていただき、広くて清潔で、多少古さは感じますがとてもリーズナブルでした。

The highlight of my trip to Japan!

I really liked this little tucked away charm of Mt.Fuji. The place seemed a bit barren, like it had used to be really popular. The grounds were really nice and there is a really nice field for viewing Fujisan. I hope that business heightens for this hotel as I think it was the best part of my stay in Japan. They run shuttle buses, have tennis courts, a pool, plenty of snow in the winter, frozen ponds and all around amazing service. I wish I could have stayed longer. I will definitely be back and be telling all my friends and family.

Dont forget to call the shuttle service that hotel provides. There is very limited transportation in the area. Place is very relaxing and a lot of amenities available. The staff is very friendly and would even go above and beyond the service they provide. The front desk person drove us to the market just to buy the fuji apple that we wanted before getting dropped off the train station. The breakfast was good.

Location wise it was rather inconvenient prior to checking in as the catered shuttle bus had to be booked at the hotel beforehand so if you arrive a little late at the Kawaguchiko area it might be very difficult to get to the hotel to check in. The hotel is rather old however it is very spacious and it covers a vast area. Good for families and groups. There is a buffet area for breakfast and dinner which you should definitely add on when booking as it is very worth the price.

The hotel staff did not explain the property (as there are numerous buildings on the property), didn’t provide a map, didn’t explain the costs associated with the use of any of the sports areas, didn’t provide the wifi password. The shower area was molded. The onsen hot springs offered was on a different property altogether and came at an additional cost, just like the use of any sports areas (table tennis was around ¥1,500 an hour, table tennis, really?)

這間酒店在森林之中，佔地面積十分大，房間面積也相當大，兩人入住，有兩房兩廳兩個廁所，還有廚房。
因為酒店在山林中間，入酒店的道路都是山路，比較窄小，建議於日落前到達酒店，附近環境清幽，什麼商店都沒有，建議在酒店吃晚餐。
早餐和晚餐都是自助餐，食物質素不錯，是推介的！
酒店內沒有什麼活動，只有桌球，乒乓球，電子遊戲機和漫畫書。
溫泉服務是要另外收費的，成人每位一千日元。
酒店提供免費泊車。
從酒店開車到河口湖車站大約二十分鐘。
整體十分滿意。

Drove to hotel with no gps and struggled so had to switch on roaming but all good. Free parking. Did not use any of the activities as was here to unwind after driving around Japan.
Room was an apartment of 4 beds 2 bathrooms and a balcony for just 2 of us. Breakfast was buffet and busy but got a table easy. Good wifi. Drove to Moose Hills Burgers each night as found they were delicious. About 10 mins drive away. Did not fancy the hotel Buffet.
Good hotel to relax and would stay again. Close to ropeway also btw

Caution UK credit card holders

This hotel was fairly remote - to get into Kawaguchiko you needed a car. The hotel did provide a reliable shuttle service, but I would not really recommend this place for non-locals, try to find somewhere else nearer to the town if you are sight-seeing. It seems to be geared towards locals with a car who can take provisions with them. All in all we had a lovely stay in the area - spending 2 days at Fuji Q Highland and a day going to the fifth station of Mt Fuji

My main complaint is that the hotel did not accept my UK credit or debit cards. When I went to pay the bill (for 3 days worth of breakfast 18000 yen) with my UK credit card (v mainstream) it was declined. I used it up Mount Fuji the day before and I used it 30 mins later in a Kawaguchiko supermarket, but the hotel maintained it was the fault of the credit card company and not the hotel. However, my backup credit card from another company, rarely used, but alerted that I was in Japan, was also declined. A debit card was also declined. Fortunately I had paid the actual hotel bill through a booking agent and it was just the breakfast owed. I did not have enough Yen and ended up paying with GBP that I luckily had on me, otherwise I would have been really stuck. This has not happened to me in Japan before or since. Just be honest and say you have problems accepting UK/overseas credit cards. Perhaps this was an isolated incident, but please be wary and ensure you have enough cash on you to pay the entire bill if necessary.

The hotel staff was excellent and the hotel was very convent once we figured out that using a back road we were only five minutes from town. The room was excellent it gave the adults a place to relax while the child slept. The rooms were spacious and the ensures bathroom gave everyone privacy well keeping us as a group.

Lovely forest Hotel

If you love forest surroundings, this is the choice! There are lots of mature trees surrounding the hotel buildings. There is a small golf fairway for golfers and forest garden. It was cold when we were there, 29 December 2017, the tempreture was -5celcious, despite the coldness me and hubby walk at the golf fairways for about 30 minutes to enjoy the lovely surroundings.If I have more time I would want to stay longer in the forest!

Hotel hides in a forest.

We drove a rental car from Tokyo and stayed in this hotel for 2 nights.
it is very easy for us to find this hotel because Every Toyota Rental car has GPS.
The room they offered is not just a hotel room. It is an auppartment with 2 separated bed rooms with additional living room, dining room and kitchen room, though it doesn't have stove. The master bed room has bath top.

Although the hotel hides in dense wood. it only takes 3 minutes driving to the town center shopping and dining area.

The facilities are out dated, but the management keep them very clean like most of the places in Japan.

Old rooms with some stains on the wall given years of usage...they could reform the rooms or at least repaint the walls....also the room floor has stains on it...they could brush it sometimes...rest the room was clean. nice views of Mt Fuji....
Another thing is that although you paid to be in a 4-5 star resort, they charge you $25 to use the tennis court...should be included in the rate...and the tennis courts are very old, surface and net not new and they want to charge you for using it.....and indoor swimming pool closed in spring....

What was good was the restaurant food, views of Mt Fuji and nature and the service from restaurant and lobby people...very very polite people and always looking forward to serving you in excellence.

Beautiful and convinient.

This place was gorgeous, located in a perfect area away from the crowds and at the same time near everything. But The food at the restaurant was incredibly expensive and not thst great. I was also not allowed in the onsen because of my tattoos so heads up to that. Other than that everything was great

I stayed here for 8 nights and traveled to a different country from NADI airport and back to here every day

I was off the beaten path. Just average, but great people working there, who got to know me .Enjoyed two foot massages and they were excellent and inexpensive

Non-existent view of Fuji except from restaurant

Our hotel room had no view of Mt Fuji (most others too), even though they advertise it as a Mt Fuji resort. It's a golf and other recreational resort. The area around the hotel was much less than expected,and we paid a premium to stay there. The lobby access to the souvenir shop, for example, has all kinds of furniture in the way. It is generally a third rate hotel for the price we paid.

Biggest room we had of 5 hotels in Japan. Front desk had limited English skills, but so did the others. Hotel was further away from lake than expected. Although they offer a free shuttle, it is on a reservation basis and only once per hour. Otherwise, full service spa and good access to lake activities such as the rope climb and boat rides etc. The red and green bus lines get you to most places along the lake. Best view is end of the line on the red line.

Pleasantly surprised!

We were a group of 4 friends and chose the 4 single beds room. We expected a reasonably sized room fit for 4 but much to our surprise we were given a huge unit facing the lake! It was gorgeous - heated flooring, our very own living room, spacious bathroom with a tub and again heated flooring. The hotel provides free shuttle to and fro the main train station (just need to book in advance) where we are able to buy tickets to the Shibazakura festival, Mt Fuji fifth station as well as main highway buses that go back to Tokyo. Food was a small problem though as the resort is pretty far from town - a cab ride (informed by the staff) would cost about RM60 (approx. USD20). There is a convenience store within the lobby where you can purchase snacks if you do not wish to eat at their restaurant.

All in all - it was a good stay :) very happy and would recommend this place to anyone I know

Nice stay, but the climate in the rooms is very difficult to control. There are forced air, heat lamp and radiant heaters, including ones in different rooms, but the hallways aren't heated and some individual rooms aren't heated. The resort is well outside of town, which, for travelers without a car, makes things difficult. If you aren't using the resort for tennis or other activities I would suggest something on the lake.
