Perfect spot 👌

I really enjoyed my stay beautiful view, just a walk to Gateway Mall, breakfast 😋was delicious. Service very good and they pay attention to details.

Great location to all amenities, only disappointing part was at breakfast when i asked for another glass of apple juice i was told to pay an additional R16 over and above the amount i was already charged for breakfast!

Awesome and affordable place

Very nice place to stay. Central to most facilities. Short walk to Gateway mall. My only gripe was housekeeping leaves early so I didn't get fresh linen when I requested it on my last evening

I will not give regal inn 3 stars. Rooms are so close that you can hear every sound from the next room. Had to be moved by night receptionist, because of noise from next room.Not suitable for family with kids.
Only 10 TV channels, 4 sport , sabc123,etv,mnet action and smile.
Beddings were dirty, towels were brown and coarse, complained but no response.
Bed and pillows were most uncomfortable. Toilet paper is of the lowest quality.
No bar fridge. Restaurant closes at 1pm.
You can order from the delivery service booklet in your room but expect to pay double. For a burger advertised at R62, ended up paying R110.

Paid for a deluxe room via hotel.com but was given a standard room. Night receptionist left a message for manager and I Emailed the manager to ask for a refund to move to another hotel but no reponse.

Stayed in many hotels rangeing from 3 to 5 stars and managers response to complaints were prompt, helpful and efficient that made me want to go back.

This is not value for money and the pics of rooms on internet is deceiving. Very uncomfortable and disappointing solo stay.

The environment is good, the Hotel looks good but the bed was very uncomfortable, it has a curve it's like a stadium. Even after asking them to change, I got another stadium. I was not happy with this

Reception was friendly and polite also helpful. Room was nice and clean. Restaurant staff was friendly and so was security. He personally assisted when parking was full and said he will take good care of our vehicle. In the morning he came to us and said everything is ok.

Regal Inn Umhlanga Ridge

The hotel is very nice except the room service with regards to sweeping properly every day and insisting on keeping a king size duvet inner into a smaller double size inner was disappointing. Furthermore I had an issue with a refund which was eventually (2mths later) resolved.
Other than that, the hotel itself, wifi and the location is great.

I had to wait for my room to be cleaned for about 20min and their restaurants doesn't cater much for people who doesn't eat pork and after we ate what we settle for we had a running stomach

It was terrible, there was no parking available I was forced to park my Range Rover on the street. Breakfast was included in my booking payment however the hotel refused the next morning to serve us breakfast I had to put up a fight for it which was ridiculous, only to be told I could only choose a breakfast option worth R60. The room was very small and stuffy and the walls extremely thin I could hear everything through the walls. I would never stay at Regal Inn again. Its the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Our stay was pleasant. Bed was abit small, would have preferred a King size bed. Also, should have smoking rooms as it's not safe to stand outside at night to smoke. Staff very pleasant and helpful and room was spotless. Will visit again definately.

An average experience, try somewhere else

For a more satisfying experience I would strongly suggest booking directly with the hotel.
That being said, the hotels saving grace was their staff while were an absolute pleasure to deal with. The hotel itself was disappointing in the very least. I would go back any time soon.

The hotel is very neat and tidy and the staff is helpful. There is only two things that made my stay uncomfortable, they are building next door and across the street so in day time there is constant noise, but if you not in the room day time its ok. Also there is a hair dryer issue in the hotel. I had to not dry my hair the last day as the hotel refused to give me a hair dryer.
I had no cash to pay a 200 deposit to use it and they did not want to use my card. I think they should invest in more hairdryers and ask a deposit upfront when you pay for your room.
It was not comfortable to struggle with wet hair during my stay.

A suggestion to ensure all guests have inside parking. No matter the late hour on returning to the venue.

Firstly I got a very unappetizing call from Ayanda because I had booked and not made the previous nights check in due to travelling and business. So she told me that I had to MAKE a payment or ELSE my booking would be cancelled and this all had to happen my 12:00..quiet annoyed at the abrasive and forceful tone I told her I would do the payment when I get a chance to which she started questioning my when I get a chance, meaning I must drop everything and make a payment..she then told me she would send me an email...alas on email my cut off becomes 6:00pm and mind U I had been given an ultimatum of 12:00...fast forward to a room with juice stains on the floor, a dirty balcony, dirt on the floor...

We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. When we got there we were given a room with only a queen bed. When asked about our reservation for 4 people we were told that this was not confirmed with the hotel. They did however send us a sleeper couch for the kids with no bedding. However the hotel was neat and clean. Parking not always available. We had to park on the road on our second night there.

3 Items require comment I was charged by Hotels.Com and the hotel please can you arrange a refund for the overcharge. The cashier seemed powerless to sort it out.
There are no bedside light switches We have never experienced this before in any hotel. Would recommend that the hotel advise that guests bring a torch to avoid feeling your way in a dark unfamiliar room. Finally the shelf above the toilet is in the wrong place and has been installed too low as I bumped my head causing a minor bump it could have been far worse as there are some sharp edges. Overall the stay was satisfactory and the positioning suited our needs
