The staff, Melanie was very friendly and helpful. The room was okay, nothing special. My only complain is the bed, which is the most important part of booking a room. Right as we got in the room we checked the bed and found so much hair, the pillows smelled like someone’s sweaty head, so i asked for fresh sheets and changed it myself.

Were told check-in was 4-8 pm. Were at a family function, called let lodge know arrival may be after 8. Were told someone would be at the desk until 9. We arrived about 5 past 9. Said if after 9, walk in and our room would be unlocked with key inside. Arrived 9:05 and not 1 person inside. Desk vacant, restaurant dark, bar, dark and yes our room was open. Not a bad room, but when I booked, site did say breakfast include. Up early, went to get a coffee front breakfast room ... not a person around. No breakfast spread ... restaurant not open ... not a person around. We left at 8:00 and still not a single person to be found. Drove 2 hours before we found a place for breakfast. Yeah ... not my idea of breakfast included.

The website advertised the lodge as a bed and breakfast but they no longer provide breakfast or even coffee.
They also claimed a fine dining experience with local and international cuisine but it was pub food such as burgers and wings.
Very disappointing .The website should be changed. It is false advertising.
Also our outside patio area was in bad shape .
There were also several dirty dog poop bags left there even after I complained.

My wife and I booked a room at the 3 pines lodge for 5 nights, we ended up only staying 3 nights because of all the issues, and no we did not get offered a refund. First off, there was no door latch, so staff or lack their of, have uninhibited access to the rooms. Secondly this place was poorly maintained, with dirty walls, extension cords instead of outlets by the bed, trash piled up in stairwell, and outside. The lamp cord was also frayed with live wires exposed beside the bed. The portable AC unit in the room was never cleaned to the point it overheated and melted the plastic on the side of the unit, and the room in general looked so dirty we went out and got sanitary wipes and cleaned it ourselves. Lastly, staff is almost always not available, with no one by the front desk and once staff was finally found and we requested more towels due to the shower leaking water on the floor no towels were brought to the room. Overall I would not recommend anyone stay here, anyone walking or kids running through the hall is incredibly loud in the room and they give out free icecream for 5 stare reviews skewing their rating.

The room was clean and had a super comfortable bed. The facility included a common room, bar and restaurant. The outdoors had a bbq picnic area and a fire pit area. The owner of this establishment is an outstanding guy that went above and beyond to help us and tend to our needs. Our only suggestion would be to have a coffee machine in the room and /or a vending machine in common room. Location is mint-just steps away from the beach and boat launch. We will return and we do recommend.

The room did not match the photos. The room had very few electrical outlets. There was an orange extension cord used. Bathroom was tiny. The balcony looked like it was going to collapse. No breakfast or even coffee. No one at front desk.

When you walk in the door all you can smell is dampness and mold. The stairs leading up to the rooms look like they havent been vacuumed in months. Toilet only flused when it wanted too, some lights didnt work, wifi hardly worked. Our patio looked out into the woods and there was garbage everywhere. My husband forgot his glasses. Been trying to call and arrange for them to be sent through Purolator. 15+ phone calls and several voice-mails left and nobody will answer or return voice-mails. We travel quite often and after this, we would not recommend it.

Nice property, decent king room and in a good area between huntsville and bracebridge. Close to a nice beach in port sydney.
Only downside to the trip was no coffee or breakfast like is shown when booking. The coffee shop i got recommended wasn't good either. If going into a town theres plenty of cafes and eaterys around.
Would stay again for proximity to Algonquin/other muskoka towns

It was an extremely hot day and they didn’t have the air on. It was a very long day driving and it would have been nice to step into a cool room.
The corners of the room had spiderwebs, the toilet paper was thinner than tissue paper and there was quite a bit of garbage on the ground spilling out of the outdoor garbage bins. The cutest part was the poodle that greeted me.
Just not an overall clean feel. I would not go back.

For the price point, you can't really beat it. It is clean, bed is comfortable. There is ample parking at the front and opposite side od street. Parking does get crowded as the lodge is attached to a pub that runs in the early evenings. That being said, this is a bare bones as it gets. The fact it does not even have a chair in the room is a first for me. I ended up calling after hours of restaurant to borrow a chair from the dining room. There is a electric fireplace and an external air conditioning in the room.
I found out there may be select tea bags and keuriq in the common area you can use.

Port Sydney beach is at the end of the street while port Sydney falls is about a 10 min drive away. Location is about 13 min from huntsville by car. 2 local stops and a breakfast place down the road.

The 3 Pines Lodge was a pleasant surprise. Our room was spacious. Everything was tidy and clean. The staff were friendly. The on site restaurant served delicious Wings at very reasonable prices. We had no complaints. Note, we're not talking about the Four Seasons here, just a great place to stay in the country.

The stay was really good. The restaurant inside the building was great. Veggie burger was delicious. The only problem was that the heating was not working and there was no water supply in the morning of check out! Also no one was at reception in the morning to help. The breakfast included in the booking was continental breakfast however, there was only bakery items. It was an okay experience.

If you are looking for something fancy like the Hilton this is not the place for you. We loved our stay .. it was comfortable and just what we were looking for. We were able to bring our dog and had a blast. Each room had its own unique charm and we have no complaints. Perfect northern retreat.

We were a bit skeptical with some of the previous reviews but were quickly content. We liked the small, quaint feel of the lodge, the sitting area was fantastic. Room was simple and we like that. Portable AC great. Bed comfortable. If you’re a fussy traveller you should go to a fancy Delta. If you are easy going, enjoy a rustic but so friendly atmosphere, this is good! Ate at the on site restaurant and it was amazing! Well done 3

The whole day water was leaking from AC and the whole carpet was socking wet. Bedsheets were dirty. Good smell was coming out from.the bed sheet. Breakfast has old bread and bad opd fruits. Very old fruits. Will not recommend at all.

The pictures of this property are very deceiving. It is not located on the lake at all. We booked 3 rooms and they were very dirty. There were cockroaches in one of them along with dirty sheets with blood and hair. The shower still had a used bar of soap. The toilet had not been cleaned which featured a bowel problem of the previous guest. It was a complete let down as we were really looking forward to our stay and competing in the Muskoka Iron Man.
On a positive note, the dinner in the restaurant was good along with very nice serving staff.
