Stayed overnight in room 302 called the \"Wolf's Den\".
It was a beautiful wolf themed room overlooking the water.
The whole resort is beautifully decorated. It's clean and in a very beautiful area. The resort has It's own private beach. We loved our stay here. Will definitely return!

The location is stunning! Beautiful views over the bay, quiet road and you truly feel you are in the muskokas.
The kitchen that is pictured in the photos I did not see anywhere. It is a neat boutique hotel. They thought of a lot of smal touches, eg. Umbrellas for a rainy day.
Some guidance as to where to find your room would be nice with maybe a layout of the rooms, when you check in outside of the’office hours’.
Also, it is decent clean. Bedding was very clean, but the back of doors, trim, th drip tray of the keurig were questionable.

We didn’t quite know what to expect but chose this over air Bnb as disappointed with last experience. We loved our stay here. I had called ahead to see about having a campfire by beach as we love camping. Amit the manager said yes you can- bring own wood or purchase in area. We enjoyed a couple campfires with wood we brought despite how cold it was. Our beds were very comfortable!! Microwave and fridge with freezer great to use. There was also a common room in basement with tables and large screen tv - another small room that had dishes and you could use - I forget if there was an oven as didn’t need one. Extra bathroom downstairs too. We already booked to stay again as so much to do in the area and the lake would be so nice to enjoy when warmer! The shower( no tub) was spacious and everything very clean. Bringing slippers was so great an idea and you do have slip ons they provide if you forget yours. Can’t wait to come back!

Our room was very nice and the king bed was extremely comfortable!

The pictures on the lakehouse website shows an updated gourmet kitchen that was not there. It was a small area against one wall and very dark.

The drive/parking lot was not maintained at all as it was covered in ice and my husband and I found it very slippery in which you must walk extreme care.

We stayed in The Bear Cave, Grand Suite or Muskoka Suite (it seems to have several names), but Grand Suite is certainly appropriate. It is absolutely beautiful with a wood burning fireplace which we enjoyed very much - though it would be good to have a heads up that patrons must bring their own wood. The kitchen is equipped with every possible appliance, dish, tool that anyone could ever want, including a bagel slicer and a wine fridge! We have never seen so many cupboards and shelves. The king size bed is very comfortable with dual aspect views of the lake. The whole suite is bright with many windows and great views. There is a deck which would be fabulous in warmer months, equipped with a barbecue. There is a gigantic tv in the living room and another in the bedroom. Everything looks and feels brand new. What a terrific place to stay just a 5 minute drive from Huntsville. We loved it!

This is a beautiful lake house with a private beach! We had the best room in the house (king bed) and it was a huge space with beautiful kitchen, comfortable bed and private deck. The views were breathtaking! The management was very accommodating and catered to any needs we had. We will definitely go back! The only improvement could be that some things were well loved and could use replacing (i.e. cushions on outdoor furniture, mattress cover had stains on it). Still highly recommend!!

This is a cute property with a lovely location on Fairy Bay just a few miles outside of Huntsville and about a 40 minute drive from the Algonquin Park. There are a few boats / paddleboards available onsite and a convenient deck for evenings by the bay. The property itself could really use some upgrades. It was fine, but with a little more attention to detail could be something special.

We wanted a last minute get away and the Fairy Lake lakehouse ticked all the boxes. It was small, quiet, on the lake with a beach, kayaks, sups and canoe at our disposal. The lake has ducks, and even a beaver was spotted from the dock. The water was lovely.
We were close to everything, tree top trekking, golf, Huntsville, hiking trails and even kawartha dairy. Our room was exceptionally clean and quite spacious. For my teenager there was wifi and a big screen tv. I would definitely return here.

Me and my family of 5 had a short visit here driving through and I wish I had had the time to stay longer. Kids had a great time kayaking and swimming on the sandy beach and it was nice there were swings and a little playground to help keep them busy as well. If we’d had more time I would have had a little fire to roast marshmallows and BBQ right on the beach. The staff were very nice and accommodating, anything we needed was no problem. I will definitely be returning soon and would highly recommend staying here solo or with family, so much to do and see.

The front desk manager is very nice and helpful. The rooms are spartan - old 'easy' chairs. Baseboards not very clean - bathroom redone but shoddy workmanship. Window cranks are broken and windows dirty. If you don't care about the small touches, the property would be nice in the summer for the waterfront. Very 'cottage' like.

The signage and the written description weren't very clear (it said it was the next driveway on the right but it isn't a one-way street so that only works if you're coming from direction they're expecting). They had sent a map as an attachment to the welcome email but I hadn't noticed that.

Our stay at Fairy Bay Lakehouse was great! The property is as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer. Our room was modern and well appointed, but still had a nice hint of rusticity. I stayed here a year ago and the girl at the front desk provided great customer service, room was large and soundproof. There were snacks in the room and free Netflix, Disney and Prime.

This year there was no one at the desk when I arrived shortly after check in time. My fob was left at the desk to get into my room.

I had a jetted tub instead of a shower, but the plug didn’t work, so needed to mcgiver a way to keep the plug in as no staff on site.

There were 4 rambunctious boys that spent between 6 pm and 11 pm running around, play fighting and screaming in the common area below me while their parents (owners?) were on the lower floor. I had to ask them to be quiet 5 times.

Prime was included, no Netflix, no snacks, but a couple water bottles.

Comfortable bed, clean room, spacious and cozy. Nice to have the bar fridge and microwave.

Would have been a more pleasant stay with staff available to shut down the noise.

I recently stayed at this lake house , and it was fantastic. The room was clean, spacious, and had a stunning lake view. The amenities were excellent—gas stove, large family room with a big TV, and even a white noise machine. Parking was easy, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Given all this, it was a great deal for the price. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for a lovely get away with the water activities. The view from both of our rooms are stunning, and the private beach is steps away. The boats and sand toys are readily available, and the water is so clean and nice. All three generations enjoyed the beach, the boats, the swims, the games in the common area. All in all it was amazing memories and precious time :) definitely want to come back again!

Given the price we were charged the for accommodation, the quality was shocking.

The issues with the room were as follows: (1) Bathroom smelled on mold/ mildew and shower curtain was moldy, (2) Bathroon sink did not drain, (3) Bathroom mirror had electric wires exposed, (4) Large water and mold stain in the entrance hall to the room, (5) Paint peeling in bathroom ceiling, (6) Could not regulate room temperature and needed a space heater brought in, (7) Blind did not work which meant we slept with an open blind all night.

We could not get the room to warm up above 20c and when the manager brought us a space heater after we had left, he left our room open to which we returned hours later. We had left valuables and electronics in the room.

Really nice spot and set up with nice furnishings and linen, but if you are charging $450 a night for a room in Huntsville, you can't offer sub standard accommodation with the issues i listed above.

Our second summer spending a few nights at this guesthouse. After last year we were a bit reluctant to book again given a very non-engaged management on-site. Thankfully new management is terrific. Thank you Amit for your attention to details that make all the difference to guests. You are a much welcome addition! We love the direct access to the shoreline to launch our kayaks, the use of the properties' additional water equipment, the spaciousness of the shoreline so there is lots of privacy for all the guests. Rooms are nicely appointed, beds very comfortable. Nice treats upon arrival. Heads up - this property is a good distance from town so you'll need rides or a car. Restaurants and food stores also a car ride away.

This was a conundrum. The location of this is nice - on the lake with a couple of kayaks and canoes available. It seems like it used to be a bed and breakfast, but it was booked through Hotels.com and it seemed to be a full service inn. But nobody was on site to meet us when we arrived, although a key with our name was left at the front desk. We did meet the manager, who was working his first season at the inn. The owners were not on site. Our room was very nice. Although in the basement, it has windows and was clean and modern. No breakfast other than a few snacks left in the room. The wifi in the basement room was not reliable. The main problem was on the ground - while it looked nice from afar, the beach area was a a favorite of geese, with goose droppings and feathers all over the area including the lawn. We saw the flock come up the first evening, so this was a regular hangout for them. There are certainly means to repel geese such as shiny selectors and a string across the shore (or at least parts of it). My general feeling is this could be a very nice place but with the absent owner and a manager who seemed to be the only employee and one seemingly without much experience to run the place, this would be more suitable as an AirBnB than something listed as an “inn”. The general location relative to Huntsville and Algonquin is excellent, so that’s a plus. Not sure why this review was initially flagged, so I’ll try again.

I truly hate giving a bad review but this place is very over priced for what you get.
We booked the signature rom which the picture shows a view of the lake. $361.00 for 1 night. They showed us our room on the lower level with hardly you could see the lake and the room was nothing special. Motels these days offer nicer newer rooms. They showed us the one bedroom unit which is huge.Which we took for an additional $120.00. Because we diid not want to stay in the room they were giving us. And the pictures they show on Hotels.com are mostly of the one bedroom unit. The unit was not clean. Grease onthe counter & stove. My husbands feet were black from walking around the suite with no shoes. I could feel soap on the shelf in the shower. The property is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. But the top floor of the house has 4 bedroom unit and you can hear the people walking above you, and i was woken bythe noise of someone running back and forth across the floor. Very overpriced for what you get. Cant believe they can get those prices and notoffer Breakfast.
