We stayed at the end of September for 6 nights. The room was very cosy, comfortable and very clean. It was exactly what we were looking for, immersed in nature. The river behind the accomodation is great. Few minutes walk and there is a beautiful lake. It is easy to walk around to the few cafes and restaurants. 10mins drive from Algonquin west gate. Dan is a lovely host, full of great tips for your travel. We would highly recommend it

We loved our stay in our luxury tent! The location was super convenient for visiting Algonquin Provincial Park, but close enough to town to have good dining options (even for vegetarians). Dan was a great host and made us feel welcome immediately. He even took the time to send an email about places to stop and eat.
The rooms were clean and well appointed. The grounds were also very nice with BBQs, picnic tables and lots of spaces to meet others staying at the motel. I would come back in a heart beat.

Dan is a super host. The common spaces are great to chill. It has got bonfire, bbq, volleyball and plenty of spaces to just sit back and star gaze. The best thing over there is the pet dog Queen. She is so adorable and Dan lets the guests to pet her too.

This was my first time staying here - just an overnight on a multiple day motorcycle trip. It's amazing what you can miss at first glance...if you're not paying attention this property could go by in the blink of an eye. Dan was incredibly welcoming and personable. He explained the lay of the land and answered questions. The rooms are quaint, clean and exactly what this road-weary traveller needed. Super quiet, fully stocked kitchenette, and awesome endless hot showers. There's a gas station / market just a stone's throw away, and a pretty decent restaurant called Boiler Room Tap & Grill with a fairly extensive menu. There are really cool outdoor tent/yurts if that's your schtick, too. Coolest thing - behind the cabin rooms, down a little embankment is this babbling brook. I brewed my morning tea, ate my muffin and fruit cup from the market while sitting on a mossy rock watching the sun shine through the trees in full autumn colours and listening to the water as it trickled downstream. Doesn't get any better!

We didn’t know what to expect when booking one night in the “luxury tent”, but once we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. Inside the tent is a comfortable queen size bed, shower with hot water and a toilet!! It had everything one needs to relax and enjoy quiet, thanks to no TV!!

It was such a neat idea to have the luxury tents. They are unique! They have the immensities in them so no outhouses. You can shower. The beds were comfy. (Pillows were too flat for my liking). The only downfall to it is that it’s close to the highway so it was loud in the morning and woke us up earlier than we would have preferred.

There were BBQs to use Tables, and a fire pit as well as Sand volleyball court! Most restaurants/food/sites you have to drive to! Dwight Beach is not far and has free parking and nice place to swim . There is a bit of a climb uphill to get to the tents , so you will have to be prepared to trek your stuff up the hill to the accommodation. They also have a wagon to pull if you bring lots !!Dan the host is also available to help trek stuff up to your tent! I would certainly come back to use the luxury tents again, the other accommodations not as inviting looking.

My family really enjoyed our stay at the motel. It is a great option for those bringing their pets. The room was clean over all, just the old carpets smell a little. Bathroom was great and looked newly renovated. Grounds had lots of stuff to do such as bbq, picnic tables, playground, sand area for volleyball/badminton, and fire pits with plenty of seating and self serve fire wood station. My dog was well mannered so I was able to have him off leash to play with the others guests dogs who were off leash with no issues from the owner. There are beautiful planters with flowers all over the property!
Suggestions would be to have waterproof hard flooring installex and remove the carpets for hygienic purposes. Also there were a lot of cobwebs and debris around the front of the building that should be cleaned up.

It is an Absolutely Beautiful place to visit. It felt like we had gone far away on vacation, but also felt like home. It was our own little Green Paradise.
The Dwight beach is a few minutes walk away and it is breathtaking!!!! The Algonquin Park and all its adventure’s adds more glamour to this gem.

We travelled as a couple and enjoyed a 4 night stay at Dwight Inn and it was perfect! Cozy, comfortable, warm, and convenient. Dan made checking in so easy and gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area. We went in November so the property perhaps wasn’t as put together as it would normally be, but the room was clean, tidy, and cute. We were provided everything we needed in the kitchen (pan, pots, portable burner, plates, cutlery, toaster, coffee maker, mini fridge), except a kettle. We just made hot chocolate the old fashioned way!
The location is perfect for a short drive into Huntsville for any essentials, or heading into nature for a hike or a trip around Muskoka and Algonquin. It’s also within east walking distance of Dwight Beach for a spectacular view and gorgeous pier!
The only thing I would recommend for the room would be a chain lock on the door. As sure as I am that the area is safe and the property is trustworthy, I personally would prefer the added security instead of relying on a key lock alone.
