We had to check-in at the neighbouring hotel but that wasn't the end of the world. I didn't get \"budget hotel\" vibes from this place at all. It was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable, luxurious bedding, lovely big windows, tea and coffee facilities. Even the dog had a bed and some bowls laid out. Very impressed and will indeed stay again when next passing through.

This is a very good budget hotel and an affordable alternative to more expensive hotels in/near the city centre of Lübeck. We had the family room with a sofa converted to a bed for our son. There is a quick and frequent bus connection to the city centre. Rooms are equipped with kettle and coffee/tea. The road next to hotel is busy, but there is good sound insulation and darkening through electric window shutters. Be aware that due to the low price there is no staffed reception, but electronic check-in and creation of the door cards. For problems, a nearby hotel reception can help.

The hotel was clean and the room, just what I needed. It was confusing checking in with the kiosk, especially since I prepaid through Expedia. There is a sign that directs people to check in at the hotel next door and the front desk staff were nice and professional.

No information on how to check-in was shared beforehand. Get there, check-in system is broken and had to go to 4 seasons for checking in. Not a big deal but that could have been communicated beforehand. They also never replied to my message I sent them. Service rating? What service?

Fine if you're just looking for a bed for a night

The pictures on this site were not really reflected in the actual room. The room was a small desk and a simple bed, and also naturally a toilet and a shower.
The room was not filthy, but not exactly clean.
There was only a partial covering of the window and outside is some sort of industrial site that was a little noisy from early morning on.
It was fine for me as I just needed a place to rest for the night, but I probably wouldn't stay there long if I was visiting Lubeck.

The Check in was a bit confusing that you have to go to another building, and we chose a room with sofa bed specifically because we have a kid, but there was no bed lining for the sofa bed, so we had to call the reception to get it fixed.
We stayed for two nights though they didn’t clean our room or empty the trash or exchange our towels at all even we did follow the instructions to throw them on the floor. We tried to call reception again to get some new towels, though give up after couldn’t reach them after couple of calls.
Also in general we probably got the worst room, ground floor, right next to the smoking area and the big road, and the weather was so hot we had to leave the window open.

Top choice if you need to sleep over

Nice hotel, great value for the money. If you need a place to spend the nigh and do not need a restaurant or other services, this place will be the best choice. Clean, renovated and nice rooms with lovely and cool bathroom, big screen tv and good beds.

Simple, modern, but very compact, off-city-centre

Modern, clean and adequately equipped, but very compact room. My room was facing the back of the building so it was rather quiet. Check-in takes place in nearby Vier jahreszeiten hotel, less than a minute away.
Location is quite off-centre, perhaps 15+min walk from the train station, but two local bus stops are nearby if needed.
Overall, the accommodation standard was absolutely sufficient for me - if you don't mind the location, this is a much more reasonably priced option compared to hotels in the centre.

2 weeks ago I stayed in a Soviet-era hotel that hadn’t been done up since it was built in the 70’s. Think this place was worse 😂 No staff anywhere at all, you have to visit the neighbouring hotel if you need a member of staff which is appalling considering there’s no desk, my room was incredibly humid and hot and smelt like someone had smoked in there and a pretty poor job had been done to clean up! Coupled with the fact Expedia said this was a 20 min walk from the station (nope - 40 and I’m a fast walker) this was an almighty nope. Didn’t stay here in the end, the hotel next door sorted me out.

Considering other, better kitted out hotels were available for €5 more, there’s really no excuse to have no staff around.

We went for the football at VfB Lubecks ground and the hotel was situated about 500 yards from it. Its a bit of walk from the town centre, 20 minutes but is also situated well for food outlets in need.

The room itself was spacious and very clean. Good hotel for business trip or town visit, if you just want to sleep there.
The hotel has only self checking and no coffee shop or lounger staff on site - just bedrooms.
Is located in an off town shopping quarter - but within 15 minute walking to city center.
Parking available as part of partner hotel but not good information to get to know.

Meh. There’s probably better in the area.

You definitely get what you pay for with this place. The rooms are big and it’s clean but it’s not central to anything and it’s on an insanely loud and busy street. There’s no central air so we had to keep the windows open and it was hard to sleep. The pillows are weirdly lumpy as well. Also no one works here. It’s an automated checkin which might be fine for some, but felt offputting and unsafe to me. Oh and that beautiful view they advertise? I was on the top floor and could only see the tips of the pretty buildings in the distance. Other than that it’s very strip-mall feeling.

Within walking distance of the charming old city, this hotel is excellent value.
Self-check-in worked beautifully, we'd never done that before and were skeptical as there had been a previous reviewer who had had issues.
The room was spotlessly clean, wonderful shower and bathroom, everything new and updated, comfortable beds, nice linens. Everything just super.

Unstaffed, automated hotel on town outskirts

Just visiting for a couple of nights and Lubeck was full so ended up here as just about the only cheap alternative.

Pros:-
clean, basic service.
10 minutes walk to congress centre where annual festival is held

Cons:-
Very small room
20 minute walk to town,
no local attraction or restaurant (apart from the main hotel of which this is a satellite)
mosquitos mean that had to keep window closed (no nets) and no other ventilation

Its an amazing property with facility for kiosk check-in even at the middle of the night. Clean, comfortable (except some noise due to traffic on nearby road), and good value for money for budget travels. Even the rooms at basement are well-lit with natural light at daytime and have good ventilation.

Affordable modern hotel not too far from town

Pleasant hotel on a main road at the edge of town. It takes about 15 min to walk to the city centre. Automatic check in with no reception but the main hotel is 2 min away if there are problems. Email worked well at night but would not let me log on in the morning. The receptionist could not fix this and implied it was a common problem that the computer only recognises the arrival day. However, the other hotel has good wifi and an excellent breakfast for only 6 euro so not too serious unless you had a lot of work to do

Cheap, clean, everything we needed.

This hotel does not have a reception but rather you check in on a computer. When we tried to check in the system said our room was only for one person, however it was supposed to be for three. We went to the hotel reception next door and this was cleared up. The room was clean Andrew a day very thing we need end, especially considering the price!
The only real problem (minor) was that the bedding for the sofa bed did not have any covers on it and because there are no staff in the hotel we had to make do without.

Nice but inconvenient

Was shocked that the room was in the basement and was shocked how nice the room was. Checking in was on the screen but you can go to the hotel across the construction site to ask for help. There is no phone in the room to connect you to any service. I used Skype to call the front desk. Because of those inconveniences, maybe a hotel near the station would save a lot of trouble.

Too Basic - nonexistent servic

This is a self check-in hotel. Unfortunately their system tried to bill me for my prepaid room. There is not even a phone to use for assistance. I had to walk to the hotel next door to speak with a person. Then there were no instructions on Internet use in the rooms so I had to walk back there again since there are no phones in rooms either. I had to walk back a third time to arrange a taxi. Rooms are tiny, basic but clean and comfortable.

Motel - exactly what it is

Stayed in the motel. It is exactly what it's supposed to be, a basic place to stay, which is great of your not planning on spending time in your room. Rooms are kept clean, the bed was comfy and the bathroom and shower were nice. Only downside is that there's no kettle in the room but I guess I should have checked that first.

Ich habe dieses Hotel wegen der scheinbar guten Bewertungen und des späten Check-ins gebucht. Das war ein Fehler.

Der Check-in ist unklar und funktioniert faktisch nicht: Statt besetzter Rezeption gibt es einen defekten Automaten, anschließend darf man ca. 250 m zu einem Partnerhotel laufen, um eine Zimmerkarte zu holen. Für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie sehr speziell.

Das erste Zimmer (3. Stock) lag direkt an einer vierspurigen Hauptstraße mit Schwerlastverkehr – Ausschlafen unmöglich. Ein Zimmerwechsel war notwendig und wurde immerhin freundlich umgesetzt. Nach erneutem Fußweg (insgesamt ca. 500 m) bekam ich ein Zimmer im 4. Stock zum Innenhof. Ruhig, aber mit massivem hygienischem Mangel: Schwarzer Schimmel an den Fensterdichtungen. Schön mit Wischtüchern das gröbste entfernt!

Statt eines gebuchten Doppelbetts standen zwei zusammengeschobene Einzelmatratzen im Zimmer – billigste, durchgelegene Federkernmatratzen ohne Halt. Schlafkomfort gleich null.

Das Badezimmer war anscheinend sauber. Das ist leider der einzige positive Punkt.

Am Morgen funktionierte auch der Online-Check-out nicht. Beim Versuch, einen Kaffee zu trinken, wurde mir trotz Frühstückszeit bis 10:30 Uhr bereits um 10:15 Uhr an der Rezeption gesagt, es sei „zu voll dort und lieber nicht …“. Währenddessen saß ca ein Dutzend Gäste noch beim Frühstück.

Fazit:
Ein komplett überbewerteter Blender: schlechte Organisation, mangelhafte Hygiene, miserable Betten und überforderter Service. Nicht empfehlenswert.

Incheckningen var lite rörig och var bara ett rum i anslutning till ett annat hotellet där man kunde få hjälp och köpa till frukost. Kan vara att vi läst på dåligt. Larm, larm og mere larm. Hotellet ligger lige ud til en stor vej og der er trafik døgnet rundt, så det er virkelig svært at sove.

Værelset er fint og stort.

Vi fik ikke gjort rent - man skulle betale for rengøring 15 euro - for mig giver det ingen mening.

Vi valgte hotellet fordi der var parkering. Det var der ikke - jo på nabohotellet til 17 euro per dag.

Mi experiencia en el Hotel Viva fue, en general, regular, con algunos aspectos positivos, pero también varios puntos decepcionantes.

Al llegar al hotel, nos dimos cuenta de que la habitación asignada era una habitación doble simple, a pesar de que habíamos reservado y pagado expresamente por una habitación para tres personas. Esto generó una situación incómoda, ya que nos tuvieron esperando aproximadamente una hora mientras buscaban una solución. Nos informaron que no había otras habitaciones disponibles, aunque finalmente, después de esa larga espera, lograron resolver el problema. No obstante, ya era tarde y perdimos tiempo valioso, lo cual fue frustrante.

En cuanto a la habitación en sí, no tengo mayores quejas: era cómoda, limpia y agradable. El baño estaba en buen estado y todo parecía bien mantenido.

Sin embargo, el servicio post-estancia dejó mucho que desear. Al salir del hotel, olvidé un cepillo de dientes eléctrico en el baño. Me comuniqué con el hotel para preguntar por él, pero tardaron dos días en responder y me informaron que no lo habían encontrado. Me cuesta creer que se haya perdido en otro lugar, ya que estoy seguro de haberlo dejado en el baño. Otro hotel quizás lo habría encontrado y me habría ofrecido enviarlo, incluso con costos a mi cargo, lo que habría sido totalmente razonable. Lamentablemente, aquí no fue el caso, y terminé perdiendo un objeto de valor.

Check in is supposed to be at a computer, but the supplier of this service is facing technical issues. Therefore, we were pleased that the very friendly staff at the Vier Jahreszeiten hotel was able to assist, also with replacing a broken shower. Store dejlige værelser. Der er ikke alle mulige lækre ekstra ting - men der er elkande med lidt te og kaffe og ellers bare senge og et stort fint badeværelse.
Man skal lige være opmærksom på at parkering er ved et nabo-hotel, ligesom reception og sådan også er.
Der er heller ikke morgenmad på selve hotellet - men kan bestille morgenmad på nabo-hotellet - ellers er der en rigtig fin bistro ved Bauhaus, der ligger på den anden side af vejen.
Vores værelser lå ud mod en trafikeret vej, men trafikken stilnede af ved 23 tiden - og vi kunne derfor fint have vinduerne lidt åbne.

Vi var generelt rigtig glade for vores ophold - vi kommer gerne igen en anden gang.

Das Hotel liegt an einer Hauptstraße, wodurch es im Zimmer sowohl tagsüber als auch nachts sehr laut ist. Besonders morgens im Flur ist es extrem laut, wenn die Zimmer gereinigt werden. Zudem gibt es keine Rezeption, sondern nur einen Check-in-Automaten, der jedoch nicht funktioniert.

Schicke Zimmer, durch schalldichte Fenster sehr ruhig. Neues Modell mit Einchecken und Auschecken ohne Rezeption. Gewöhnungsbedürftig aber einfach zu Händeln.
Wir werden ganz sicher noch einmal wiederkommen. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis super. Frühstück wird im Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten angeboten! Mit Buchung dieser Unterkunft macht man nix verkehrt.

Værelset var kun forberedt til to da vi ankom, men ved henvendelse på søsterhotellet lidt længere henne af vejen, redte han op til den 3. Person imens vi tog ud og spiste.
Der må påregnes en del støj fra den store vej lige foran hotellet - både alm. Bilstøj og udrykning.
God komfort i sengene, rummeligt værelse.
Vi kommer gerne igen.

Parken kostet 15 €. Eine andere Parkmöglichkeit als das vom Hotel angebotene gibt es nicht. Wer gut zu Fuss ist erreicht auch zu Fuss gut die Innenstadt.

Gerne wieder !

Schönes Zimmer, sauber. Bad ebenso sauber und modern eingerichtet. Wasserkocher mit Tee oder Inst.Kaffee vorhanden. Check in nur im Nachbarhotel 4 Jahreszeiten ca. 100 m möglich, sowie Parkplätze ebenso nebenan vorhanden. Aber alles OK und machbar. Gerne wieder !

Die Dusche war nun nicht wirklich sauber.
Wir hatten sie daher nicht benutzt, was nun nicht tragisch war bei einer Übernachtung.
Das Hotel war sehr zentral. Es gab viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten & der Weihnachtsmarkt war super mit dem Bus zu erreichen.
Das Zimmer war aber sonst top und sauber und auch echt schön und sehr groß.

Bra och snabb service

Fönstret i vårt första rum var sönder och gick inte att stänga. En kvinna från receptionen kom inom 5 minuter och lät oss flytta till ett annat rum vilket vi var mycket nöjda med.

Ich habe vor Ort eine 2.Nacht dazu gebucht. Die Zimmer zur Strasse heraus sind wirklich eine Zumutung. Mit geöffnetem Fenster zu schlafen ist wirklich unmöglich. Die Lautstärke ist nicht auszuhalten.
Beim Zimmerwechsel zur 2.Nacht gab es Probleme mit der Reinigung des Zimmers. Mir wurde ein schmutziges, nicht gereinigtes Zimmer zugewiesen.
Auch nach meiner Rückkehr am Abend war das Zimmer immer noch nicht gereinigt, so dass ich nochmal spät abends das Zimmer wechseln musste.
Vielleicht wäre eine Verbesserung der Kommunikation mit dem Reinigungspersonal angebracht.

Buona posizione a circa 30 minuti a piedi dal centro. Nei dintorni ci sono supermercati e fast food. Ottimo il parcheggio anche al coperto al prezzo di 15€ al giorno. Comodo il check in e check out senza personale ma per qualsiasi necessità ci si può recare alla reception dell'hotel accanto. La camera è davvero xxs ma ha tutte le comodità compreso un bollitore con caffè e tè. Non adatta per soggiorni lunghi in quanto non vi è spazio per i bagagli. Nel complesso non rapporto qualità prezzo.

Bestemt OK - dog er indtjekning en anelse besværlig, da den skal foregå online og uden personlig betjening. Det kræver lige at man holder tungen lige i munden, for der opkræves et depositum, selvom opholdet var betalt hjemmefra.

Dårlig information ved tilkørsel til hotellet

Når man har bestilt et hotel, forventer man at kunne køre dertil. I det mindste forventes en midlertidig parkering for at afsætte bagage.
Det første vi møder er skilte som siger at det er forbudt at være der med bil. Men ingen information om hvor man så kan parkere. I øvrigt var der meget trangt for at vende bilen imellem store betonklodser. Alternativet var at bakke ud på en stærkt trafikeret. Meget uvelkomment. Det forventes af hotellet at vi som gæster bare ved at tilkørsel skal ske til nabohotellet.

Große Zimmer, super Frühstück

IT-Störung beim Check-In. Dieser musste dann im Nachbarhotel durchgeführt werden.
Frühstück (musste auch im Nachbarhotel eingenommen werden) war super - wurde jedoch 3 x für Erwachsene berechnet, obwohl wir ein Kind dabei hatten. Zimmer waren groß und sauber, allerdings hatten die Fenster nicht die allerbesten Lärmdämm-Eigenschaften.
