Lovely hotel with good access to old town. Single room expensive for the very compact room and bathroom but was very modern and nicely appointed. 20 min flat walk to rail station, bit far with a head wind and heavy luggage.
No lift, steep stairs but staff help with luggage.

A hotel i would certainly recommend.

The hotel was very clean. The staff were the best. I had breakfast there everyday and it was very enjoyable. The rooms were kept in a very clean state. I was highly delighted with this hotel.

Elegant and beautiful hotel in a lovely city

The hotel is perfectly located for the old city. We had the Deluxe Room and all the details were perfect - bathrobes, slippers, two sinks, huge shower and bath with luxurious toiletries. The decor was modern with a hint of tradition. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We could hear birds in the morning and the bells of the cathedral. Wonderful sunset over the city skyline. A truly luxurious, indulgent and relaxing stay

As the names says, this is a beautiful building near the centre of Lubeck. We had a delightful big room with large windows and plenty of space. Breakfast was excellenr, service excellent in lovely English. A very pleasant stay.

Great little hotel in the old city

A great little hotel, well run and charming. Perfect location. Only issue is absence of free parking, which would not matter for most of the year, but at weekends in December public parking is very hard or even impossible to find.

As always a top notch hotel

I started staying at this hotel back in 2016 and I now stay there every time I travel to Luebeck. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast has a wonder selection from breads and cheese to eggs and bacon. The staff is top notch and very accommodating. Always a pleasure to stay here.

The hotel is clean and stylish. They offer a fantastic buffet breakfast.
I was very disappointed with my room ... far too small for the placement of a double bed, which took up 50% of the room. The on suite toilet, sink and shower were contained in a cupboard 90cm x 270cm.

We enjoyed staying in the center of old town. It made it convenient to stop in our room in the middle of the day while touring the city. Neither of us speak German, but the staff was happy to provide assistance with maps and restaurant recommendations. Breakfast in the mornings was nice.

A lovely boutique style hotel. I had the 'small charming room'. The shower room was tiny but perfect. Modern fittings you wouldn't expect in this type of room. Lovely rainfall shower. Bed was comfortable too. Breakfast selection is small but adequate, continental style. Breakfast / dining area is really beautiful and cosy. Service was very polite and welcoming. This a gem of a find if you prefer the quieter boutique style stay. I would definitely stay here again. It's only a couple of hundred metres from the centre.

Charming hotel

I was traveling by myself so I stayed in a small single bed room. The room was super clean and cozy with a nice big window for light. The bathroom looked like it had been recently updated, everything was very clean and modern. Breakfast options were plentiful, wonderful and delicious, served with the best coffee of my trip. The staff were sincerely friendly and attentive. If I find myself in Lubeck again, I would most definitely come back to stay here.

The hotel is just down from the Marienkirche, which puts it close to many things in the old town. It is also on a quiet street. The room was small and smelled a bit like someone had been smoking in it, although I was assured it had not been a smoking room. Opening the window improved it a lot. The Wifi didn't work for me -- perhaps it is not compatible with Macs, but the reception couldn't help.

Single traveller staying 4 nights. Single room of modest size, but certainly very adequate, being well cared for. Location could not be better, the Old Town being within a few minutes' walk. Railway and bus stations a short bus ride from stop 3- 5 minutes away, or walkable in 20 minutes or so..Breakfast fine, taken in a pleasant room. Staff willing, efficient and helpful. Don't believe there is a lift, so anyone with limited mobility would need to check the practicalities before booking (late wife was disabled and I remain aware of facilities).

Charming hotel in a small, charming town

This was my second time at the Klassik. It's a jewel of a hotel, with small, well-designed, pretty rooms in an atmospheric setting, staffed by people who are very hospitable. The sole drawbacks for some would be: (1) no lift, though there are rooms on the ground and first floor (there are only 2 stories above the ground floor) and (2) the free WiFi service would not work on my iPad though it did for my friend in a different room. But I can't imagine recommending any other hotel in the old Hanseatic city--five minutes walk puts you in the heart of the main street.

Makes you feel very much at home

Superb, arrived really late at night but the staff arranged for the key to be left out. Hotel and room very clean and modern feel. I would recommend staying at this hotel it's central in the old town. Only 15 minute walk from the train station, very easy locate on the map.

Convenient location for seeing Lubeck

The hotel is in a good place to easily walk around the sights of Lubeck. Room was clean and very spacious. Service was good and breakfast was good. The only negative was the outside temperature was unusually high for Northern Germany and hotel did not make any effort to cool the rooms.

The hotel was a nice older style building. The room was large compared to most European hotels. The bathroom good size also. It was really a charming hotel. Close to everything in Lubeck. However there were lots of stairs to the room - so make sure to bring a small bag since you will be carrying it up.

Für ein kleines Hotel war das Frühstück sehr gut aufbereitet mit vielen unterschiedlichen Speisen. Das Personal war durchweg hilfsbereit und frendlich. Das Zimmer war zwar echt klein und das Mobilar schon älter, aber alles funktional und sauber. Ich habe mich rundum wohl gefühlt.

God beliggenhet i Lübeck

Hotellet er virker noe mere luksuriøst i annonsen enn i virkeligheten, og det er ikke så mye fellesarealer her utenom spisesalen. Frokosten måtte vi betale i tillegg og den var helt fin, men ikke ekstraordinær. Veldig rolig og fint opphold og vi sov godt, god seng. Midt i gamlebyen i Lübeck, flott beliggenhet. Vi kom på sykkel og kunne parkere de inne i et avlåst, bagasjerom - det er ikke veldig stort, så antagelig kan det bli fullt i høysesong for sykling.

Rummet var väldigt fint, stort och trevligt. Bemötandet av personalen var väldigt trevligt och vi fick ställa väskorna i receptionen vid ankomst kl.12 fram till incheckningen kl.15. När vi kom in i rummet möttes vi av en otrevlig avloppslukt som visade sig komma från badrummet och blev värre under vår vistelse trots försök att spola vatten i alla vattenlås för att bli av med lukten. Det var även väldigt kallt i rummet och trots att de två elementen ökades till max, tog det väldigt lång tid att värma upp det stora etagerummet till acceptabel temperatur. Inga filtar fanns heller.

Normalerweise schreibe ich keine Bewertungen. Jaja, die Faulheit. Dieses Mal möchte ich dies dennoch tun, da ich mich sehr über das Hotel geärgert habe.
Ich fange aber dennoch mit dem guten an. Das Hotel ist gut gelegen und auch für die Preisklasse ganz okay. Die Sauberkeit könnte etwas besser sein. Hier habe ich im Bad das ein oder andere Haar von vorherigen Gästen gefunden.
Was mich aber am meisten gestört hat ist folgendes:
Mir ist bei der Buchung ein Fehler passiert. Ich habe mich in der Woche verklickt. Leider einen nicht erstattungsfähigen Tarif gebucht. Als ich ankam, wurde mir das gleich unter die Nase gerieben. Da ich spät angekommen bin, habe ich dennoch in dem Hotel ein Zimmer (abseits von Hotel.com) gebucht. Manche werden jetzt sagen: \"selbst schuld\". Es war einfach spät und wir wollten uns nach langer Fahrt ausruhen.
Ich habe dann versucht über Kulanz und Irrtum über hotels.com die Reservierung zu stornieren. Hotels.com hat sich sehr bemüht, das Hotel blieb jedoch hart.
Was ist denn das für ein kundenorientiertes Verhalten? Es ist dem Hotel schließlich kein Schaden entstanden. Ich war ja wirklich dort und habe bezahlt. Wahrscheinlich ist eine direkte Buchung von den Konditionen sowieso besser als über eine Plattform.
Sehr kleinlich.
Für mich steht fest: Obwohl ich in die nächsten Monaten monatlich in Lübeck übernachten werde; definitiv nicht in diesem Hotel.

I didn't like this hotel, although I will be objective and note that the hotel is newly refurbished and the staff was friendly and made an effort. The single room is really tiny, it's only possible to sleep there, and even that is uncomfortable.

It was unpleasant that my room wasn't cleaned, not even the trash was taken out. It turns out that the room is only cleaned if you hang a sign on the door. On the second day, I saw this sign hidden behind the door. But if that’s your tradition, you should have informed me of it at check-in. However, the worst thing is that the only type of blanket in the hotel is a heavy down duvet. On a hot day, when it’s 25°C outside and 19°C at night, it caused me a sleepless night. When I asked for a summer blanket, I was told there were none. This ruined my impression of the hotel.

Receptionist was extremely informative, sweet and helpful, and she spoke excellent English. Breakfast was ok, a little of everything.

Room was big and spacious. Loved the detail on the bathroom with women’s hygiene products 👍👍👍 the street we had window down too, was quiet

Desværre ikke elevator når man skal på 2 sal med kuffert.

Bodde i sviten som var väldigt smakfullt inredd och gott om plats. Verkligen toppen boende med nära till stadens centrum.
Tyvärr ingen AC och sviten ligger på översta våningen så tänk på att dagar då det är riktigt varmt blir det varmt även på rummet.

Gammeldags på den bedst tænkelige måde

Et helt igennem dejligt hotel, der er 'gammeldags' på den bedst tænkelige måde; ingen dumme nøglekort, ingen slimhindeudtørrrende aircondition, fjollede apps osv. … et rigtigt værelse med personlighed, rummelighed.

Det hele er meget fint istandsat og virker nyt og i orden. Der er rent og personlaet er venligt og imødekommende. Morgenmaden er glimrende.

Der er lagt vægt på det klassiske (som navnet jo antyder); indretningen er smagfuld klassisk, i lobbyen finder man et lille biblioteket der fremhæver byens berømtheder som Thomas Mann og Günther Grass … endog værelserne har et tema (vores var Willy Brandt, endnu en af byens stoltheder). Der spilles diskret klassisk musik i morgenmadssalonen etc.

Eneste potentielle minus er, at der er noget lydt (måske fordi vores værelse lå lige ud til trappen). Det var ikke et problem for os – og måske ikke generelt, for hotellet lader til at tiltrække et modent publikum– men det er ikke et hotel jeg ville vælge, hvis jeg rejste med små børn …

Placeringen er glimrende – men i Altstat er det nu også svært, at være langt fra noget :-)

Dejligt og rent hotel

Super fint og rent hotel. Værelset og specielt badeværelset med badekar var flot indrettet. Ved ankomst blev vi spurgt om hvor ofte vi ønskede rengøring. Vi bad om ingen rengøring da vi kun var der to dage. Alligevel gik rengøringen ind på vores låste værelse mens vi sov, uden at have banket på. Sengene var to enkeltsenge som hele tiden flyttede sig, hvilket var super irriterende. Udover det var det et dejligt ophold og vi kommer gerne igen.

Hotell med bra läge och utmärkt service

Överlag mycket bra hotell med centralt läge i Lubeck Altstadt. Trots att det ligger bara ett kvarter från Fussgängerzone så ligger det i det lugnt och tyst kvarter.
Dock så är det iallafall i enkelrumsdelen relativt lyhört. Om gästen i rummet bredvid tar en dusch kl 6-7 om morgonen så kommer du att höra det. Så är du lättväckt så kan det vara bra att ta med ett par öronproppar.

I övrigt utmärkt service och mycket trevlig och serviceminded personal som snabbt besvarar dina frågor per mail.

Godt hotel og dejligt værelse. Tæt på centrum og altstadt men inden for en rimelig afstand af offentlig parkering.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Tolle individuelle Zimmer und gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Sauber und ordentlich im ganzen Haus. Vielen Dank und gerne mal wieder.
