Has a single traveling woman I had to stay in a second building away from the lobby.
That made me feel unsafe, considering the surrounding of the main train station.
Very noisy across from the main bus sub, starting at 5 am.
Absolutely no parking.
TV needs an hour in the morning to load.
Hot water needs like 10 minutes to get reasonable warm.

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are on the small side with a modern and clean vibe. Unfortunately the hotel has no air conditioning and the rooms get really hot. The location of the hotel is right across the street from the central station, very busy and noisy but conveniently located for tourists who want to explore Lübeck‘s old town.

The niu Rig greets you right when you walk out from the main train station. It could not be easier or more convenient, and is quiet on top of it. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. The only drawbacks are the hard beds, which I often encounter in less expensive hotels, and the lack of a table at which to sit and a place to put away clothing--again typical of less expensive hotels. I nevertheless recommend it.

Reserved a supreme room got a noisy closet with a tiny shower. Elevator that could only hold 2 people. Our semiconductor supreme room was a servants chamber under a roof with a view of dirty rooftops with lots of doves. No AC, lots of road noise. Nothing supreme about it.

Very practical location right across from the train station and then a pretty easy walk into the remarkable and historic town center. I had a small room but it was comfortable and well designed. Plenty of heat and hot water on a very cold winter night. Good wifi. Comfortable twin bed. Very good value. No complaints.

We had paid extra for a superior room and were told that it was one. The room was cramped with less room than that featured in the photo. It looked the same size as most on the fire evacuation plan. The rooms directly below ours had oriel windows and would have been larger. We happened to have been there in an exceptionally hot August so we noticed the lack of air conditioning.

Great service and location - only problem is no air conditioning in the room and we visited when even the North of Germany was 35 degrees plus. But the hotel provided us with alternative accomodation options and a fan. Only con is its opposite the railway station so noisy if window open.

Unfortunately the room at niu Rig was much smaller than expected and some furniture choice made it even narrower. King or queen beds are not available at this hotels which is not the best choice in terms of comfort. The position is ok, next to the train station with the city centre at walkable distance. Service/staff is average. probably this kind of hotel fits better business than leisure travels.

I wanted a hotel near the train station and the location is perfect. 15 minute walk into the city center. Very nice and very new hotel in a marine themed design, very nice. My room had no view at all (backyard) which I did not mind for one night, for a longer stay I would have asked to change rooms.
Check in stuff could have been friendlier and I was a bit shocked to see that groups without masks (it's covid time) were gathering in the lobby and the stuff did not say anything. Again, I stayed for one night and was in and out.
I would book the hotel again.

Very Hot Room

The hotel was very nice and the rooms are new and modern. I would recommend this hotel to anyone under normal circumstances.

When we stayed however it was very hot and there is no air-con in the rooms. Because of this we had to open the windows at night. As we were in room 116, which over looked the train station and the main road, it was very noisy even in the early hours.

Tolles Hotel für einen Städtetrip. Frühstück war gut, das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und füllt alles rechtzeitig auf. Nähe zum Bahnhof ist ideal, gerade auch für Ausflüge nach Travemünde. Leider war es dadurch in unserem Zimmer mit Blick auf den Bahnhof recht laut.

The staff was really nice and friendly, and the room was clean and nice. Unfortunately, both the reception as well as the room smelled very burned; in case of the room so much that I could not stay there. I took a walk for an hour and came back, but the room still smelt so much that I had to find a new hotel (Premier Inn) across the street - that turned out to be excellent. Unfortunately, since I booked my stay using Hotels.com, I did not get a refund for the 2 days stay and breakfast; not a good experience.

Das Einzelzimmer ist schon klein, sich im Bad zu bewegen, erfordert ein wenig Vorsicht und Geschicklichkeit. Aber das Zimmer erfüllt seinen Zweck sonst gut. Beim Frühstück kann es Stau geben, das IT-System scheint auch nicht das Schnellste zu sein, da es zu längeren Wartezeiten beim Checkin führt. Sonst sehr Ok.

Wir haben hier nur eine Nacht verbracht und dafür ist es ok. Da wir nicht auf Bus und Bahn angewiesen waren, war die Location für uns nicht so wichtig. Wer aber in Bahnhofsnähe sein möchte, ist hier Gold richtig. Dementsprechend ist halt eben auch die Umgebung, viel los. Man kann paar Meter weiter super günstig parken. Mir persönlich war das Zimmer viel zu klein, hatte ich anscheinend bei der Buchung übersehen. Das Bad war von der Sauberkeit her eher mittelmäßig, unser Klo war schmutzig und wir mussten erstmal selber sauber machen. Die Handtücher waren sehr fleckig und wir waren uns nicht sicher, ob die frisch sind… also haben wir aufs Duschen verzichtet. Frühstück war an sich sehr gut, als wir da waren gab es noch mind. 1 Stunde Frühstück, aber es wurde einfach nichts mehr aufgefüllt (z.B. das Kleingebäck). Daher war für uns die Preis/Leistung nicht gegeben.

War nur für eine Nacht zur Durchreise dort. Lage optimal, direkt zwischen HBF und ZOB gelegen. Parkplätze gibt es in der Nähe, aktuell 6€/Tag. Zimmer sehr modern ausgestattet, Bett war bequem, alles sehr sauber. Personal an der Rezeption war äußerst freundlich.
Neben dem Haupteingang (Hauptgebäude) gibt es einen Nebeneingang, in dem sich weltere Zimmer befinden. Trotz der Lage konnte man bei geschlossenem Fenster in Ruhe schlafen. Innenstadt/Holstentor sind zu Fuß ebenfalls gut zu erreichen.
Bei heißen Temperaturen sollte man beachten, dass es keine Klima gibt. Anscheinend konnte man sich aber Ventilatoren ausleihen, welches ich nicht in Anspruch nehmen musste. Badezimmer war äußerst klein und eng, bei einer Übernachtung war es aber vollkommen hinnehmbar. Leider war der Aufzug während meines Aufenthaltes defekt.
