It's a beautiful property for a quiet rest, so long as you stay at the property as there is nothing else in the area within walking distance. Spa services were not as advertised, and had to be booked an hour in advance, and were not the same hours as listed - closing at 6PM instead of 9PM, with massage having to be booked even further in advance.

A really nice hotel , well away from the bustle of Lubek [so no walking in to town] offering excellent service but quite pricey ! A good place for a relaxing break or stopover [as we were] on your European road trip to or from Denmark. Surrounded by corn fields and gardens . Oh - I nearly forgot , they can’t spell Potato !

At arrival the reserved room was not made ready for us. It needed an intervention at the reception to get a new room instead to follow the hotel assistants proposal to have dinner first After a 40° summer day we wanted to shower first prior going to the restaurant.

Romantic hotel in a rural setting
Hidden in the rural outskirts of Lübeck, the Ringhtel Friederikenhof is a wonderful location for a short getaway and a romantic weekend. It offers all the amenities you require and a an excellent restaurant with very attentive service. If you are so enclined, bring your bike along - the surroundings are perfect for a bike ride with a picnic for two along a canal or you could explore Lübeck from the seat of your bike.

This hotel is near Luebeck but is definitely situated in the country. So, it would be perfect for visiting, and then retreating from this World Heritage city. It would also be great if you had time to relax and just sit in the garden or enjoy the countryside. There are no supporting services out there -- no entertainment complexes or stores -- so the hotel is very much your only resource. But a fine resource it is. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. The restaurant serves an array of game, prepared to a high standard, but also familiar German dishes (it is not inexpensive). Everyone speaks enough English to be of good service. I regretted that we stayed only one night but our schedule and the miserable weather forced us to move on.

Wonderful, beautiful hotel with really nice gourmet restaurant. Outside of town, and it helps to have a GPS to find the place. Probably would need a car to get there (plenty of on-site parking). Quite and peaceful. No shops or restaurants near hotel, but barns and cottages are nice to walk around. Room was large and comfortable, very clean, and attractively decorated.

Vi hade en fin vistelse på detta hotell. Fantastisk frukost och en bra middag. Området är fint med park och en stig utefter vattnet. Ett minus bara, att parkeringen låg en bit från hotellet så att vid ösregn (som för oss) var det en bit att gå. Det fanns dock paraplyer i överflöd att låna.

Der Empfang gestaltete sich unglücklich, da 3 Mitarbeiter erstmal die Zimmereinigung klären mussten. Leider konnte man am Sonntag im Restaurant nur die Halbpension buchen, dies konnten wir aus der Beschreibung leider nicht herauslesen und hat uns aufgrund der Lage sehr enttäuscht. Das Zimmer (24) ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und war recht klein. Erfreulich war das Frühstück und das Personal am morgen- gut gelaunt und zuvorkommend. Erfreulich war auch, dass der Parkplatz nicht wie mittlerweile üblich berechnet wurde.

En fantastisk oplevelse, helt overraskende dejligt. Og med sikkerhed, skal gentages. Restauranten var en vidunderlig blandning af virkelig god mad og personlig uhøjtidelig betjening. En dejlig mindre spa område i kælderen. Et skønt værelse. En vel skjult perle i den tyske natur.

Even though we arrived very late they provided us with a cheese platter and a bittle of wein in the room, since the kitchen was closed. Next morning the same with breakfast. Very good service. It is not for nothing we keep coming bach here.👍

Perfekt stop på vej til Danmark selv med vores hund. God restaurant. De har 2G+ regler nu, som betyder at vi skulle testes negativ selvom vi er vaccinerede og også har fået en booster.

Et rigtig dejligt sted med et supergodt køkken. 3. gang vi overnatter der. Denne gang var der ombygning i gang, som dog ikke generede meget. Værelserne er meget forskellige. Denne gang havde vi et mindre værelse på 1. sal, men - igen- med rigtig god seng og dejligt badeværelse. Skøn morgenmad i et hyggeligt stort lokale med udsigt over landskabet.

Hotellet er fint, vi blev placeret i annex, så der var et stykke at gå til Spa, der lå i en anden bygning. Restauranten er fremragende, ikke billig men kvalitet og pris hænger fint sammen. Morgenmaden er rigtig god.
