The apartment was beautiful, the bedding was top quality, the apartment had everything you would need, the grounds were well cared for as was the pool, the restaurant was wonderful as was the breakfast, everything and more. All the staff were very friendly, and attentive, they were very knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble, the whole resort and apartment was very clean and tidy, we just loved staying at the praia do sal resort and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

This is nice spot for families, but not a good place to relax. The room doors are designed to slam, and it is impossible to relax or sleep in. Every time anyone on our entire floor left or entered their room, their door would slam so hard our room shook. Housekeeping did not prop doors open, and would slam the door every 3-5 minutes while cleaning a room. It was horrible! This is not a luxury resort by any stretch, it is a comfortable family hotel. The hotel is a little run down, and has definitely seen better days. The pictures are much nicer than the actual hotel condition today.

Pool lots smaller than the photos look. Pool bar terrible service. Really bad service also in the cafe/bar. Had to change room but the room they changed us into still gad problems( shower door missing, door stop cover missing hence screw facing up from the floor) problem with balcony door also.

Overall a wonderful experience. The staff were helpful, friendly, and informative.
Parking was a bit of a pain, as the building lot is small, and the guests need to use a municipal lot. It was a bit frustrating when there was an event happening at the cultural centre which closed down the municipal lot.

Otherwise, the experience was great, facilities well kept, rooms were spacious, cleaners were thorough, kitchen was well equipped and you’re close enough to Lisbon you can visit during the day, but far enough away, you don’t have to deal with the city if you don’t want to.

Didn’t fall short of expectations. From the welcoming smile of the hotel front desk staff, the comfort of the room and really lovely ambience of the terrace, to a relaxing time in the spa and indoor swimming pool. Daily room cleaning service offer was such a thoughtful idea I must add. Overall, my wife and I had a good experience at the resort for four days.

What a wonderful place to end our two week vacation in Portugal, with two days at this resort. Wonderful amenities, and we use the spa services, eight at the restaurant and enjoyed the pool, saunas and loved our studio suite as well! You can walk to some great little nearby bars and eateries and enjoy the beautiful view across the bay of Lisbon.

Property shows great potential. Staff were amazing, rooms were comfortable and restaurant was delicious.

It seems like a crew of handymen need to spend a few weeks there however. Door stoppers were broken off in the room, one leaving a sharp metal for your toe to find in the dark.

The spa is a good setup, but 2/3’d of the jets didn’t work. There was enough sand and junk in the pool to fill a bucket.

The sauna wood is starting to rot and plans and wall are loose in many places

One thing we didn’t like is a guest shouting in my 8 years olds face about being quiet in the pool he was just excited and was told to be quiet it took us two days for him to be confident to come down to the pool as he was nervous she would be there and do the same for a child and an autistic one isn’t great

The team was absolutely wonderful! Very kind, patient and professional.
The resort was cleaned daily, the restaurant on site had live entertainment and good quality food. The front desk team, all of them, were available and always made us feel welcomed!
The room we had was 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Clean. It came with a full kitchen including washer and dryer. The balcony wrapped around for the sitting area to the second bedroom.
Having the fridge and freezer available, we went to grocery store and bought food. The pools were great! Indoor and outdoor!
Wonderful resort, will come back here if ever we come back to Portugal.

Perfect location for proximity to Lisbon while still living in a quiet beach side oasis. Our group of 5 adults rented a 3 bedroom suite with kitchen and large balcony! The sunset view was amazing. Our only issue the entire stay was difficulty locating a hair dryer which the staff finally provided on our 3rd day. Recommend a rental car to get to all the region’s attractions. We would definitely stay here again!

A party of us recently stayed and occupied 6 rooms in the resort. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful resort, the facilities were fabulous and Helena was an incredible member of staff who couldn’t do enough for us. However there are a few disappointing issues we need to highlight to you. Room H1D was in a very dark corner with no sunlight at all, we were unable to use the balcony because it never had any sunlight and was not very warm, it had a horrible smell and the A/C did not work even after we reported it and maintenance attended to try and fix it!
Room B0F with the baby staying in had 3 days of putting up scaffolding, painting and maintenance which prevented the baby from having his sleeps throughout the day. Also parents were unable to use the balcony to sit and enjoy the weather and unable to relax, they felt it was an intrusion of their privacy!
These issues did somewhat spoil our stay with you and therefore we would ask that either a partial refund be given or a free stay to compensate for the disappointment.

Not impressed with gym strange wooden treadmills, also extremely hot despite A/C. Didn’t particularly enjoy evening meal, though only went once. More relaxing chairs for balcony would’ve been nice. No kettle though had to request. Only one supply of tea/coffee per person per stay very mean, also some milk would’ve been appreciated.

Praia do Sal Lisbon Resort is located outside Lisbon in Alcochete. A rental car is the best way to get there which is fairly priced.Taxi fair there was expensive. Ask Taxi driver for a rate before setting off. I paid 70 euros! which is more than the retal I got at the airport later, price per day. There is a bus that passes by the hotel at least ten times a day that cost several or more euros to down town Lisbon. You will need a prepaid bus card that you can get at the airport (maybe you need to get it at the bus station, not sure.) which you use to tap on. I tried paying the driver with cash or a credit card. But he wouldn't accept them. Bus is ok but you will feel slightly trapped in one location. If you intend to spend a lot of time in Lisbon then learning how to pay and use the public tranportation may be better but for a short stay and particularly at this locaton, car retal may be your best option. There is a toll when you are about to cross the Vasco Da Gama bridge to Lisbon. But its only a few euros.
About the hotel itself. Its really quite good. Built of low unimposing third floor structures, with two or three floors going undergroung for an indoor heated pool and spa for one included amenity, its spacious. The breakfast baffet is high end and cost about thirteen euros. Or you can add this on to your resevation and save a bit. If you want to eat dinner at the hotel, book a head of time. It gets packed at night. All in all its a relaxing hotel with friendly staff.

Spa lets down a lovely hotel

Rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable as are communal areas. The spa was a big let down to this otherwise decent hotel. It was filthy (muddy footprints and litter around the indoor pool), staff couldn't be bothered (didn't have initiative to greet guests, offer towels etc.) and the sauna and steam facilities were not turned on. The outdoor pool is lovely with comfortable loungers, a great view and large towels provided but will be enhanced with poo side bathroom facilities. The staff in the pool side snack bar seemed bored and like they didn't know what to do on the two occasions that we tried to buy ice lollies. Breakfast was OK but not an amazing selection for E13. We opted to dine out on the other days at the beach cafe for half the price and much better food. Great location for visiting Alcochete and freeport mall. A lovely, tranquil break but spoiled by the spa - would not recommend if planning to go there for a spa break specifically but otherwise good.

Although it was disappointing the outdoor pool wasn’t open, we had a wonderful overall experience. Beatriz at the front desk and Paulo in the restaurant we’re both amazing. Food was tasty and spa experience very relaxing. Housekeeping was ok but I had to ask for towel replenishment, garbage removal and bathroom cleaning during our stay although the issue was corrected. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so enjoyable!

Great spa hotel located right on the beach with views of Lisbon. All staff very helpful and speak very good English.
Unfortunately the outdoor pool was unavailable due to ongoing maintenance but looks very welcoming.
Lisbon is only a 30 minute drive away so very accessible.

Stay was great, room was a good side bed was comfortable and balcony was nice, the pool was fantastic and staff are amazing mainly those at the pool.

Only issues we had was the towels if we wanted them cleaned we would leave them on the floor and every time we did this we only got 1 towel back.

This is from my OCD girlfriend, She felt the room wasn’t very well cleaned, with hair in the room when we arrived and Very dusty. daily cleans weren’t too good either considering we Are in the middle of COVID would of expected a cleaner room

It’s about 30mins outside of Lisbon which was fine for us as we had a car but if you don’t there isn’t much to do in the actual area, overall we were very happy

What a stay... All services on site (gym, spa, hammam, sauna, massage, inside & outside swimming pools, bikes, etc...), friendly people. We had an appartment with breathtaking view on the river, Lisbon and the bridge. Only 30 mn (by boat | 3 euros, great trip) from central Lisbon. A hidden gem !
Lovely village of Alcochete walking distance.
Best and unique apartments are the ones with view on the river in building A.

It is very far away from Lisbon, across the river in Alcochete, so it is misleadind that they advertise themselves as being in Lisbon. I ended up spending a lot of extra time and money each day getting from here to Lisbon and back.

The staff here is amazing . They are so proud and eager to show you around the beautiful property . The staff is small like a family and will treat you as such. The staff greeted our children literally with open arms. We arranged a transfer to the airport and our driver was courteous and relatable . We definitely will be back . Don’t be alarmed by the construction on other half of property .. they are building for bigger and better

Location is great. No expensive. The little town is beautiful. The people are attentive in the town and have a lot of excellent tabernas, bar and restaurant. We are only few hour because we return to our country but the apartment have 2 bedrooms (with the best mattres that I try), big balcony, 2 bathroom, kitchen, leaving and dinning room. And we have bread, mermelade, butter, milk, orange juice, apple and oranges fir breakfast.
The hotel have Spa, sauna and turkish bath. We only regret that we only stay 8 hours in the apartment.

We recommended that hotel.

Disappointing. Service Issues

To be able to check in I had to leave my family in the car, while I walked to the reception, because they couldn’t open the car gate. It happens at 11:30pm. Room was tidy and comfortable. Next morning we did wake up very early with the noise from the building right next door, which is under construction. Biggest disappointment after all this, swimming pool closed due to maintenance. When I was asked about a feedback at checkout, I did say how disappointed we were regarding the pool. The answer from the reception was: you can comeback and try the pool soon. As you can imagine that won’t probably happen.

La chambre était très propre, mais l’insonorisation est très mauvaise. Nous avons été réveillés à de nombreuses reprises durant la nuit par le bruit qui provenait des chambres autour. Nous sentions les mouvements du lit de la chambre d’à côté jusque dans notre lit. Par contre, nous avons beaucoup apprécié tout le reste de l’hôtel.
