This is an old and not especially well maintained hotel. A/C barely works, amenities are few, and the location is les than ideal. Feels like a 3-star property at best, and overall our out stay was not enjoyable.

Excellent stay from start to finish. I had an early arrival and I was able to check in before hand, that was greatly appreciated. The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a full day exploring Lisbon. The staff were consistently friendly, professional, and helpful, always willing to assist with a smile. The location was also a big plus—convenient and well connected to everything we needed. Overall, Eurostars Universal Lisboa exceeded expectations, and I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

From start to finish it was a great experience. When we arrived, the front desk person actually came outside in the rain to help direct my husband to the parking. This hotel exceeded my expectations. I spent one night here to be closer to the airport for an early flight, and this was after staying in other parts of Portugal and the friendliness of the staff was such a refreshing end to my trip. Very kind and helpful. The room was beautiful, and the food from the restaurant was excellent. I will recommend and will stay here again.

I am deeply saddened I was not able to stay at the Eurostar Universal Lisboa in October, during my birthday. I spoke with two hotel staff Rafeal who stated they will refund the money I did not receive it. The hotels holding on to money I was not able to utilize and the sad that they doing this to a person who's disabled. Due to my sickness I was not traveling I also obtained insurance. I contacted Expedia, Eurostar Universal Lisboa and AIG; they all have given me the run around. Due to my disability, I was unable to reach my destination by the original mode of transportation, nor did I have any other accessible or safe means of reaching Lisbon. This situation I could not complete my trip or arrive at my destination through any available means.I canceled my reservation at Eurostars Hotel in 24 hours. Keep in mind in the USA. In the a.m., a full day in advance, following the proper procedures required by both the hotel and AIG Travel Guard. I also purchased travel insurance specifically to protect against such unforeseen circumstances.

It is deeply concerning that they have not refunded me. I acted in good faith, and the funds withheld for a hotel stay I could not use constitute an unfair and inconsistent application of the policy. This situation has caused unnecessary financial and emotional distress, especially as the trip was meant to celebrate my birthday to Lisbon where I have never been and was not able to see or enjoy. I have still not received my refund. Be aware.

This hotel is in the new part of the city, very close walk to the aquarium. It is beautifully decorated inside with informative wall art about Lisbon. The room was spacious, and the bathroom had towel warmers. The toilet space has a door for privacy. They offer pillow service - never had that before - where you could choose from five different types of pillows. The rooftop pool was closed for the winter but it is a beautiful infinity style pool that overlooks the city. We did not use the Turkish bath or sauna but they looked nice. We were only there one night but would definitely stay again if we are ever in Lisbon.

We did not have a great experience. On the day of our check out we had a leak in our room and instead of moving us to a new room immediately they had their maintenance team in the bathroom all morning therefore we were not able to get ready for the day until after we called and asked for new accommodations. On the first morning I had brunch I was rushed out before I was ready because they were preparing for another event. The buffet was to be opened until 10:30. I arrived a little before 10:00am and was approached twice to leave because it was 10:30. Wine glasses were left on tables too long on several occasions from the night before. The hotel had an unpleasant odor on our floor. Their menu is not varied enough. The swimming pool bar was closed because it was now October even though the weather was hot. There were many wine glasses left behind the bar that had not been cleared away, but when I went downstairs to the bar to get drinks to bring up to the pool, I was told i could only bring a can and a paper cup. The food at the brunch was excellent.

Hotel decided to close and renovate spa and fitness in the most expensive week of the year ($+-1000$ USD a night). While they renovated the spa, my room smelled for 4 days like sh.t. The size of the hotel room is closet size. In general it's clean but I found a cockroach in my room... a first in Europe. One day we where out of running water when I came back at night, next morning no water, I called the reception and they offered me to go to a sister hotel to shower... LOL!!! Somehow miraculously after my call the water came back. Well... the location is good if you need to attend the Fiera. But they won the 5* in a lottery. 3-4* Max. Oh btw. i had booked 4 rooms in the hotel... all the same, I'm the only one with a cockaracha. I honestly felt taken advantage of.
