Very rude owners and family staffed all rude screamed in my face because I want able to leave at 11 am was 1105 am that I was done cleaning room and gathering belongings to leave .. the desk is judgemental I reserved room with deposit I went to rent room they said no rooms even tho I put a deposit on line that guaranteed me to obtain room ..no refund nothing .will never give my money to anyone who thinks Americans are disgusting . Again

I really enjoyed my stay here. I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, comfortability, and affordability of my room. I had never stayed at a Red Roof before, but I will definitely stay here again.

- Dirty room and filthy beds. Asked for changing the bedsheets as those were full of dirty spots... The replacement bed sheets were similar or worse in condition!
- The AC/heater was not working. Only the fan was working
- Lights were flickering and fixtures were falling off
- Pile of garbage in the corridor
- bad smell in room

Overall no maintenance of the rooms. The person in the front desk was polite and helpful though.

Will never stay in another Red Roof Inn

The area of the property was the best part lots of choices going out to eat close by hthe attendant I was nice however we had a issue with multiple flits and gnats I’ve killed so many only for them to be more in its place I couldn’t eat my food because it was so many gnats that crawled on my food were I couldn’t eat it.

Red Roof Inn in Aberdeen, MD is one place to avoid at all costs. The majority of rooms seem to be long term residents. Our first indication that this was not going to be a nice place to stay was the police car parked outside.
There were childing wandering around without supervision (one with a BB gun shooting at light poles).
Residents were playing loud music in their cars. Piles of trash were found all over the place.

The room labeled non-smoking was clearly a smoking room at one time. The 2nd floor ceiling was poorly repaired where water probably damaged the ceiling.

The absolute worst part that no one wants to experience is the cleanliness of the bed. All sheets were soiled and stained!! The bedding was clearly not washed before our stay! The sheets and pillows were riddled with holes. Bottom line, it was disgusting!! Do not stay here.

Good for traveling.

start off i did get to hotel in middle of night but took a half hour to wake him up to check in, also when checking out. The smell in room was the worse but i never been in a hotel i was not able to take a shower. In order to take a shower u had to get thru the piss all over floor. luckly i only was in room for a hour or 2 to get a little sleep .

I stayed with my son for a Ripken tournament, so it wasn't a big deal, but if I had brought my wife--we would have been divorced. The room smelled of mothballs and mustiness. It was a super convenient location for Ripken--a short four minute drive. There were other hotels just as convenient, so next time I will look at those.

We had to continue to go to the office (4x) because our room key stopped working. Apparently, this is a common issue at this location because there were several others that were dealing with the same issue. The ice/vending machine room smelled so badly, almost as if the filter was about 150 years old or there was a dead animal inside of it. Watch out for the ginormous rat traps that are outside of every other hotel room door. Be sure to check out the dilapidated grill while you're there or the picnic tables that are chained to a tree.

Trash in the outside hallway, fried chicken bones and such, furniture in the room had holes in the seat materials and there was a dead bird on the sidewalk outside the rental office. I debated on cancelling and going elsewhere, but 2 nearby places we called were sold out. 2nd floor room was very hot when we arrived, but we ran the AC wide open and went for dinner and it was cooler when we returned. NOT VERY NICE.

Atrocious!!! Run away!!!!

TV didn’t work. After dinner and shopping came back to room to find a barely alive baby rat in the middle of the floor. Went to front desk and they offer me rat traps for my room. Unreal, ask for a refund and they tried to say no. Signed the refund slip and the next day at 11:30am they tried to charge my credit card fraudulently and unauthorized!! Please save yourself and stay away from here at all cost!!!

It stunk when you walked in water from refrigerator leaking. Rolled wet towel in bottom of frig. Informed office, came in dried with towel. Left filthy towel on floor. Rugs were wet. Couldn’t walk in your stocking feet. Leaked again next day. Came back from funeral, wet all over floor again. Towels were thread bare. Rat traps outside between the rooms on the sidewalk. Went to check out early at 7:30 in morning a sign on the door saying they would open at 10:00 a.m. I made a complaint when we returned to cooperate. He returned 40.00 but then turned around and charged our card 100.00. Don’t know why unless it was out of spite. If I could rate this hotel a quarter star I would. I have stayed in many hotels and this is worst one I have EVER stayed in. Steer clear of this one!

Need to do better

The room smelled stale and like cigarette smoke. After spraying lysol and microban on the bed, curtains, sheets and rugs...it smelled better. Room wasnt cleaned well!! Hair was rolling across the floor. A hair bonnet was on the floor, along a with an old steel wool scrubby.

Sheets had stains . I checked for bed bugs. Saw none. But srayed bed heavily with lysol.

Door lock was put in incorrectly...had to pull up on door handle to open and had to use key , pull up on handle, in order to secure door. It was a bit much.

Can’t believe the room rating on this room on Hotel.com was an 8.0! Worn out paint and fixtures, dirty floors throughout, moldy grout and broken walls and tub in bathroom, no bedbugs but lots of hair and dirt between mattress and headboard on inspection. Nobody at front desk at my 8:40pm arrival, had to wait 15 minutes after calling a number taped to the desk for someone to show up to check me in. And, the door lock to room was broken. Just scary.😱

Soo basically you get what you pay for. My trip was very short just two nights so that’s why I chose to stay here. But my key didn’t work multiple times. The lock was broken. The room was rundown and dirty. The toilet kept running. I left the AC on and it shut off. Soo many things. I would recommend not to stay here long term.

I refuse to stay here again!!

Room was very expensive for that kind of hotel for starters. My room deadbolt lock kept getting stuck im either the open or closed position
I checked in alone. I paid the late check out fee. 1045 the male clerk who checked me opened my door while knocking at same time

He kept attempting to open door,thankfully latch was on. I wrapped towel around me and said late check out is at 2 correct? He is looking over my head scanning the room. I closed door. 12 noon another worker opens my door witj no warning and my boyfriend runs out bathroom and started yelling at guy

Don’t know where to start, you get what you pay for, smells, stains, dirt, grease to name a few. I wore sandals to take a shower and never took them off while walking around.
People do live there, but that’s life and everyone’s situation is different. Place is a disaster.

Staff were very nice checking in.

Room: The bedding was worn; the fridge was dirty so we kept our things on ice in our cooler; the shower was questionably clean on the tub floor.

General property: It was apparent many family members resided at the hotel which is fine for them however they hung out at a picnic table just across the one lane parking and it was uncomfortable to be watched when we came and went. There was no smoking in the rooms however a lot of cigarette butts on the property. A lot of litter on the property as well. The building behind the main building seems to have more permanent residents who were hanging out at night outside the rooms. It just wasn't a comfortably safe feeling all around. It was low cost but I guess you get what you pay for. I would most likely not stay here again though.

Positive: It was next to a great Mexican restaurant. Negative: it took me two times to go back to the front desk because the door would not open. Seems like no big deal, but when tired from an all day tournament the last thing I wanted to do was battle the door. Finally, I asked the front desk to walk back with me on the third time to open my door. He had a hard time. Finally he opened it, and told me when I leave the room to close the handle a certain way because it was “broken “. I walked out of my room to see a friend, opened the door and there was a man in the room attempting to fix my door. I refused to stay in that room. They refunded me the next day. The rooms smell like smoke ( even though it’s no smoking). Never again!

I reserved a single with a king bed. The mattress was quite old and sagged on one side. The towels in the bathroom were worn and extremely old, and one of the towels had black stains. The mats in front of the bed looked like they had not been vacuumed. The room smelled like smoke even though it was a no smoking room. The bolt lock on the door didn't work. I called maintenance and a man went and basically told me not to use it.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was. The staff was very nice and filled my two requests while I was there. We were not in our room much as we were in town for an event that took up most of our two days. I will admit I did not particularly like the atmosphere outside of the hotel and became very \"lively\" at night but for the price the room served its purpose.

If there is one thing I've learnt, its that people like to complain. People expect 2 star hotel prices and receive 5 star prices. I was worried upon seeing the reviews on this site. I was surprised that the hotel was in line with a 2 star hotel. This place is clean, has a clean bed, and decent newer amenities. Parking was good, and the location was great. We'd definitely stay here again.
