The rooms reeked of smoke and stale beer. Staff and guests stood around the entryway smoking away. The parking area was covered in bottles and wrappers. The air conditioning in my room literally fell out of the wall when we tried to adjust the temperature

We sent a note that our flight had been delayed and we would be arriving a day later. No response. The musty and smoke smell is very strong. Walls and ceilings are very thin so you could hear everyone's sneezing, coughing and conversation. We requested late checkout. Didn get a response so we left at the standard checkout time of 11. At 12 they accepted our request and charged us 20 bucks.

There was no one at the front desk, you had to dial a phone to talk to the manager. The ice machine was broken. The non smoking rooms smelled like cigarette smoke, but there was a sign saying they were going to charge a fee if I smoked in my room, ha. How would they know. There a people LIVING in this hotel! I saw a drug deal out of my window. The comforter had a blood stain on it and what was left of someone's sexcapade. The floor in the bathroom was so dirty that when I picked the bath mat up from taking a shower, it was brown on the bottom. It's a shame that this is the only franchise hotel in Havre De Grace. That's the only thing that's keeping it going. The price was good. But there is no management for the customers. It's close to a few restaurants and a supermarket, but not close enough to town to walk. The police were there when we were leaving. This is a disgrace for this town.

The room service was disappointing. When we checked in, our linens weren’t changed, and there were stains on the pillows and comforters. I placed the sheet and pillowcase on the ground for room service to change out, but instead of replacing it, they just put it on the shelf. The towels were also dirty and had other people’s hair on them. Fortunately, I bring my own bed sheet, linens, and towels. The room smelled like wet clothes that had been sitting for a while. The bed was extremely hard, suffered back discomfort the whole trip.

For $60 it was fine- however the safety was an issue. Unfortunately we could not find another hotel to stay in on such short notice. The main concern was safety of the back door to the property, it did not close properly so anyone could walk in there. It should be key card entrance only but it was broken. There were multiple abandoned cars in the parking lot- just overall a very unsafe vibe.

Room amenities were what to be expected from a 2 star however the comforter and sheets had holes in them and had old stains.

The whole common areas of the property smelled of pot and cigarettes.

Breakfast had only coffee, juices bagel or loaf with no refrigerated items.

Internet was out so he didn't know how to check us in. No TV since the Internet was out. The only ice machine on the property didn't work. To be fair, the freezer portion of the in-room fridge had ice. It was so frosted over that only about half the space was left. The breakfast was basically cereal and toast. After I plugged in the toaster. Other than that, it was great!

We booked 2 rooms and we had to switch because my room had a spider crawling in the corner and my sister's room bed bugs were in th here she says soon as they sat on the bed the bugs jumped on them. Kumar was very nice and switched our rooms out but all rooms should be cared for and clean.

The room was dirty, the towels were threadbare, bedding had actual holes in it. The elastic in the bottom sheets was worn and consequently it wouldn’t stay on, so I ended up sleeping on an old mattress with not even a mattress pad. And the very worst part, we had to kill a ROACH on the wall! The back door was broken and anyone could come in. The rug by the back door was not vacuumed even once in five days. The only saving grace was how pleasant the manager and employees were. I thought because it was a Wyndom property it would at least be okay. It was a dump.

The AC unit was moldy and ancient. It made the whole room smell awful. Right when I walked in the room I got hit in the face with the smell of mildew. There’s crumbs on the carpet and hairs in the shower. Given this, I was unable to sleep because the mildew smell was so strong I had to open the window and there’s a busy street outside that’s very loud when the window is open.

I was disgusted in the up keep of the rooms. I loved rooms twice. The first room smelled like mold and the tub was stained with rust and gray colored marks. The second room the sheets both had cigarette burns and were ripped . I asked for new sheets and the manager said they did not have any other ones to give me. While I was switching rooms house keeping was cleaning one a were throwing the sheets on the floor in the hallway while they cleaned I was staying with my two children so I ended up buying sheets and putting them on the bed.

It was decent for the price that we paid. The hallways kind of smelled, but our room was fine. Our refrigerator didn't work, but when I called the front desk they came and looked right away and then traded it for a new one. We requested a late check out and was told we could check out at 1, but it didn't seem to get communicated. We came back to our room and were locked out. There was no one at the front desk and we had to find housekeeping to let us back on. So we were rushed getting out as that took about 10-15 minutes of our time we needed and then housekeeping was knocking on our door right at 1:00.

Can’t beat the price and the hospitality

For the price with breakfast included this was an amazing deal. The staff was BEYOND courteous, and the rooms were clean and comfortable although a bit dated. Breakfast was a delicious and plentiful offering of bagels and juices and breads. The only thing that could improve would be replacing broken fixtures (206 lamp is broken) and perhaps forbidding smoking (it seeps into the non-smoking rooms).

Overall - would recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again.

It was clean, but the person in charge seemed to smoke. The office and all the hallways up to the third floor, where my room was, had a strong smell of cigarette smoke.

Room:
Beds: The sheets showed signs of cigarette burns. They had holes from the burns. I couldn't tell if they were clean or not.

Bathroom:
The shower wall was white and had a black crust on it. It looks like it's never been brushed or cleaned.
The bathroom walls look like someone with a dirty arm leaned against it, leaving an arm print.
Sink was dirty with hair.

Stained towels.

Dirty walls.

Not recommended. Avoid this place.

First off I checked in before getting there and then was asked for the same information upon arrival. The lobby had a funky smell to it and upon getting to our room it could definitely use a revamp. There was a stain on one of the beds, the shower had some mold, no hairdryer, towels were child sized and overall feel of the room was just not clean. Had we not already paid we would have left. Beds were ok. There were some sketchy people around through the weekend but no one bothered us. Shortly after checkout I realized that instead of the $50 incidental hold that was supposed to be put on my card at check in, they took out the full room amount again on my card. This has been reversed now per the manager but I will see in a few days. I do not recommend staying here.

When we arrived it was late and as soon as we got into the room we realized the sunshade was broken and hanging on the one side. The room also smelled of smoke. The mattresses were very hard. The next day we realized the fire alarm was taken off the ceiling and the TV did not work. We stayed for the second night only because we needed the location for our important family event.

If I could attach pictures it would paint the picture a little better.
The staff was really nice and professional.
However the room was a non-smoking room with burn holes in the bed toppers and through the carpet. Dead center of the walkway, impossible to miss was what looked to be blood stains, not a little… A LOT!
The phone cord was detached and broken off in the phone. I bought alcohol wipes and wiped every surface down and they were absolutely filthy. The fridge had something brown spilled all over in it and the microwave had food splatter everywhere in it.
If you are tight on money, do what you have to do, but I would not recommend or stay there again.

Reasonable low budget hotel. Relatively clean. Heat/AC worked good. Fridge and microwave were good.. Hot water for shower was great. Breakfast was simple but sufficient (ends at 9 am even on weekends) = toast, cereal, fruit and juice. Free coffee always available at front area. Smoke detector in our room was missing.

checked in at 3:30pm. closed drapes in room to stop the sun from heating up room, wiped face on wasg rag an put on bed pillow, ensured door was properly latched (because it wasn't closing proprly) before I left for a wedding when we returned to room drapes were open and rag was gone. the staff went into my room after i checked in. unacceptable!!!!!!!

My two adult sons and I were all flying in from various locations across the country to attend a big family reunion. My sons were fine to share a room, but of course that room would have to be furnished with two beds. As I searched hotels in the area, this Super 8 was the only property which still had a room with two beds. Apparently a local baseball tournament had caused high demand for rooms with multiple beds, so I had no choice but to book at this Super 8 in Havre de Grace, MD. I noticed that the Super 8 franchises have been bought by Wyndham, so wasn’t too worried about things like property maintenance and cleanliness. I was wrong. Overall, the hotel just looks tired. Although my room was non-smoking, it absolutely reeked of stale cigarette smoke. The room was in serious need of cleaning: dust everywhere and carpeting which looked as if it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. Dirty. Fingernail clippings on the floor. I arrived at night and when I first entered the room, the light switch wasn’t functioning, so I had to enter in complete darkness and fumble my way to the bathroom light switch. I noticed a floor lamp by the window further back in the room, but it also wasn’t working. Why? No bulb! I’m glad I didn’t stick a finger down into the lamp socket. Etc. etc. I’m truly not a picky guy, but this place is pretty bad and being located on Route 40, I suspect that it attracts undesirable clientele. You probably know what I mean. Book at your own peril.

Was run down. Stayed for 2 nights, no housekeeping services given. Cigarette burns in blankets and covers. When we came back from being out all day key card didn't work. No one at desk to reprogram key card for 25 min. My mother had to sit on walker in very hot hallway the whole time. Not for handicapped people. On first floor room but had to walk down 3 stairs to get to room. Only 1 small bar of handsoap none for shower. Smell of smoke all over. In rooms hallways. We got home even tissues we brought had a smell of the room and smoke smell on them.
