We stay here often. Like the breakfast and friendly staff. This time, however, there was no housekeeping during the day. No new towels, bed was still unmade. I asked at the front desk and was told that someone should have been by. That is my only complaint.

Our stay was comfortable, but the kids running up and down the hallway was very annoying. We had to call the front desk at 10pm to get the kids from being so loud.

In addition, the shower leaked water all over the floor in the bathroom. The shower needs a 2” to 3” barrier to keep the water in the shower.

Overall, the room was clean, breakfast was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful with getting the noise from the kids under control. We look forward to our next visit.

The rate was astronomical considering the amenities. Property is under construction and we had to change rooms twice. First because the toilet was faulty and then the first backup room was covered in dust and wet towels on the bathroom floor. The staff on site was beyond courteous and responsive to our needs. The rates absolutely gouge customers because their kids play sports nearby, This is nowhere near a $289/night value. Hotels.com rates similar properties in the $115-$155/night range.

There was a large group of families with young boys also staying at the hotel and unfortunately we got put into their block of rooms. These boys were running wild through the hotel hallways all hours of the night causing a racket. Our room was also right next to the elevators and ice machine, so we barely slept due to the noise. I probably won’t ever stay in a Holiday Inn Express again.

We planned a tour at Havre de Grace and this is where we stayed since it is only 14 minutes away. Its location is very convenient since it is close to a shopping center. The staff was amazing at this Holiday Inn, breakfast staff and front desk representatives were very professional and friendly. Unfortunately, the tissues and toilet paper were extremely low quality, the towels had degraded so that they were falling apart. The room drapes, closet pole, luggage rack were falling apart, rendering them unusable.

My Expedia reservation was for a room with a king bed. The staff put us in a room with two queen sized beds. Even though the hotel was half empty, the staff wouldn’t move us to a room with a king without an up charge. This didn’t seem like a fair solution.

Meets All the Criteria

We keep coming back to this hotel as it is always clean and comfortable. The location works very well for us. I use another criteria for rating a hotel - water pressure in shower. The water pressure here was superb and it was hot immediately. Add that to all other criteria and you have a place we will be coming back to again next year.

I booked a king room, was told when I book a standard room even though I requested a king bed at booking I won’t get it because it is an extra charge. Also the front desk said that expedia was not a good thing to book a room from. I have never had a problem with Expedia and disappointed that I specialize requested a king bed I did not get it even though they had king rooms available. Dove soap products- no bar soap at all.

The only complaint I had was with check-in. We were tired after driving down from NY and the desk clerk was on the phone for a good 15 minutes while we waited to be checked in. I was surprised there was no one else to help us as there were several people on line behind us also and it was not that late. Everything else was fine and the cleaning and maintenance people were great. There were a couple of self caused problems with the shades and the TV and the maintenance guy arrived right away and was very pleasant, as was the maid.

We arrived after a long travel day expecting to receive what we reserved; a king bed in a nice quiet room. When we arrived and asked to sign in at checking I noticed two double beds. I showed them the reservation saying one king bed. She said we don't have any. No apologies, just a blank statement, \"we don't have any. \" Then at 11:00pm a loud engine, motor, compressor sound woke us up and called many times to the FD to see if anything is being fixed and it took hours before it just Stopped. The hotel overall was very nice. The pool looked great, although we didn't try it out. Breakfast was great and front desk staff was attentive-i believe the gentleman's name was Jim that checked us in. Room was comfortably large for just 2 of us.

The hotel is clean and renovated, and great location near the beach with direct access. It's everything I wanted. The only thing that was annoying was that there was an elevator down and the other one ran VERY PAINFULLY slow. If you are coming with a lot of bags, I'd ask for a room on the second floor and take the stairs.

Great beds and pillows; the same ones that IHG uses at their boutique hotels. This is reason alone to stay at a Holiday Inn Express! Check in was easy and quick, there was tons of hot water for a bath, and my only complaint was that the fan for the AC/Heat did not seem to be connected to the thermostat at all. It was rather loud. Breakfast had many options, however I ate around 9am and my food was lukewarm. Tasty though, in spite of the temperature. All around a win.

My wife & I planned to get-a-way for the weekend, and we decided on this hotel. We were not disappointed, as the hotel was conveniently located close to Havre de Grace and many restaurants that we could walk to. Our room was clean and the front desk receptionists were exceptional. A special shout-out to Claudia, as she was very pleasant to deal with, and was very helpful also. We would definitely consider returning if we plan on being in the area again.

Overall its was a decent stay however i will say i think its time to renovate. It just has that outdated feel to. And the breakfast needs to go back to how it use to be. I expected some changes but not drastic like that.

This hotel is just tired. From the burgandy walls to the outdated decor, the poorly lit hallways....our bathroom smelled like mildew really bad. I would not recommend. The hotel needs a remodel badly.

Staff was extremely helpful and nice. The pool and area around the pool was clean. It is conveniently located to area ball parks and there were many restaurant choices within walking distance or a short drive.
There were many breakfast options. Wish there would have switched up the hot choices daily or at least every other day.
One elevator seems to be out of order on and off throughout our stay. So, waiting for the other elevator was rather lengthy at times. Took the stairs more often than I would've like too.
