One of a kind place amidst forest and reserve. Wood cabins gave a wonderful feel and the stay was very comfortable.
It has all the necessities, and they also provide room service cleaning. Lots of animals and birds that you can see within the property. We saw Toucans, hummingbirds, parrots, spider monkeys, agouti etc. Would definitely come back!

Incroyable site ! C’était comme entrée dans le site de Jurassic Park. Une vrai immersion dans la nature. Les jardins étaient sublimes en plus d’offrir l’accès à un petit réseau de randonnée au pied de notre Cabañas. Celle-ci était parfaite pour notre petite famille de 3 avec notre garçon de 6 ans. Nous avions beaucoup d’espace dans notre chalet rustique supérieur. Nous y sommes demeurés pour 3 nuits et le personnel était extrêmement disponible et accueillant. Grâce aux excellentes recommandations de l’équipe nous avons fait de magnifiques randonnées et une marche de nuit privée loin des foules et des touristes. Excellent choix pour se loger lors de votre séjour à Monteverde !

My sole complaint is that I wish we could have stayed longer! An absolutely idyllic place to stay while visiting the area. The people working were lovely, the cabin was beautiful, there were so many incredible birds to see just relaxing on the deck, and groceries and restaurants were within walking distance. I would definitely return.

I spent two weeks travelling in Panama and Costa Rica. This was my last spot and I clearly saved the best for last! The cabins were perfect, I had the best nap of my life in the hammock outside. The area around the property was beautiful and forested, with a beautiful smell of pine. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful - I didn’t have much time before my trip to plan things and they were able to help me set up some great activities (night walk, coffee tour, etc). I travelled solo and without a car but it was relatively easy to get around. The staff helped me set up transport to different places. The lodge is walking distance (5-10 mins) to several very good restaurants and a cafe. You can also walk to town, although plan for a good 30 mins, with the return trip having some uphill parts. Can’t say enough how awesome it was, thank you!

Loved our stay with our family. Perfect little getaway fpr us with 2 kids inder 2 years old. We were able to enjoy the jaccuzi after the kids went to bed and had tge most oeaceful time! During the day there are trails and a playground. The staff was wonderful and and friendly and we did have daily housekeeping althpught they do not do dishes, no problema for our family but something to note if you plan on cooking.

We stayed here with friends who loved the property. Its conviently located. Its got beautiful gardens and grounds. Its like staying in the forest. Unfortunately climbing up to the cabins is quite steep. The concierge dropped our bags off the golf cart. Our bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on plywood. We asked to check out and get a refund. The boss would not approve. They did move us to a very upgraded cabin with a jacuzzi. The bed was much better in that cabin. We enjoyed soaking our muscles after a long day of hiking. We appreciate the upgrade. I dont think we will stay here again if returning to the area

The property was fabulous. We had a 3 bedroom cabin and each bedroom had it's own bathroom. It was nicely furnished. We didnt cook, but all the necessities were there. The grounds were amazing! There were wonderful hiking trails and a lookout where you could see to the Pacific Ocean. There was a hydroponic garden where you could pick vegetables. My grandson loved the hammock on the deck. The whole experience was so peaceful. I highly recommend this property!

Such a nice modern cabin

Amazing place , we had a family deluxe cabin for our family of five . We had 3 bedroom, living space and kitchen . We didn’t use the kitchen . The patio was so nice and second night we got hot tub installed on it as a surprise which was so good after long hike . We had our own parking . The staff was very nice and helpful and brought us towels in the evening for the hot tub . Location was great , just a minute from good restaurants and 5 min from downtown .

We had a wonderful stay at Los Lagos. The property is beautiful! The whole family enjoyed the pools, water slides, the food at the pool bar and the breakfast buffet. Our stay was made even more special by the service we received from Gustavo at the pool bar who went out of his way to provide us with excellent service and made us feel welcome every time. Alexandra at the front desk took her time to make sure that our large family got rooms near each other. The service we received from those two people made our trip made our stay that much better. Thank you! I would recommend this resort to anyone visiting Costa Rica!

I loooove love loved this accommodation. The room was perfect, modern, spacious and had everything we needed. And my favorite part was the surrounding evnvironment, which was full of beautiful flora and fauna. We witnessed so many different local mammals and birds right next to our cabin! Los Pinos is a rustic little cabin community. The cabins are clean, adequate cooking utensils etc towels and sheets provided. Reasonable price , close to many attractions, restaurants and excursions. The grounds are very a very nice natural setting. We had a lovely time and the staff was so wonderful, especially Anna who clued us in to the Hummingbird Cafe close by where we saw lots of different hummingbirds close enough to take stunning pictures with our phones. We would definitely stay again!

Walkable to a grocery store and restaurants, and just across the road there is a popular viewpoint for watching the stunning Monteverde sunsets. Enchanting Escape at Los Pinos Cabanas y Jardines

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Los Pinos Cabanas y Jardines, and it exceeded all expectations. The service was not only friendly but genuinely warm, making us feel right at home. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, although a few extra pillows in the bedroom would have been appreciated.

Situated in a great location, the hotel provided easy access to local attractions. The highlight, however, was the magical garden, a tranquil oasis that transported us to another world. The receptionist, a delightful and helpful soul, added a personal touch to our experience.

What set Los Pinos apart was the incredible wildlife encounters. From playful coatis to curious agoutis and even an armadillo, the natural beauty unfolded right in front of our room. The lookout, with its charming charm, provided the perfect spot to take in the breathtaking surroundings. Such a beautiful area. We got the family cabin with 3 bedrooms, each room had its own bathroom in it. Beautiful grounds and the front desk made makings reservations easy when we wanted to book activities. I would definitely stay there again.

We loved the location and the beauty of the property. We were traveling with family and enjoy the 3 bedrooms with private baths that include a family room and small kitchen. Sitting outside and listening the the birds, watching the aguti and the armadillo were so much fun.

Pictures don't do this place justice. It is a wonderful property with a nice detached deck with a hammock. I didn't get the unit showed which was just fine. They seem very new. Just outside of the busy part of town to be quiet and have beautiful gardens and natural beauty, but you could walk in to town, maybe a mile. You really don't need airconditioning here and I don't like heat. We were here in March and it was too hot in Manuel Antonio and way to hot near Liberia but it was nice and cool here. The kitchen lacks enough counter space to really do big cooking but we made simple meals for the 2 of us. We would stay here again for sure!

This property is in such a beautiful setting if you want to be surrounded by nature. I am from Canada and stayed in the family cabin for three nights and 2.5 days with my mom, dad and boyfriend. The cabin is nice and spacious and the kitchen is handy for cooking breakfast. A few more utensils would have been nice though. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is this property is a bit out of the main town, but there are a few restaurants (overpriced) and a little grocery store within a five minute walk.

What a gem! Wished we could have stayed here longer. The gardens are are large, protected area with trails for hikes and an area with an incredible view at sunset. We walked to breakfast and dinner off property. Our cabin was clean, beautiful, and Had a large window for viewing the wildlife.

My wife and I stayed here on our vacation. The cabanas were so great and wonderful. It was secluded and spacious. We had friends in the next cabana - we got together in the evening, lit a fire in the fireplace and enjoyed the time together. The small hike on the property is fun and easy (about 45 min.) And the lookout was great. It is a local family owned and run property. We did have a bird or some other animal running around on our roof in the morning, but the Cabana was very clean and nice. I also enjoyed the hammock on the porch - rested there during a rainstorm. It was so peaceful and nice. If we ever come back, we will definitely stay here again.

Great Family run property, we saw just as much wildlife at this property as we did on some of the hikes we took! The family is amazing that runs the place, and you feel like you are secluded deep in the wilderness, but yet 2 minutes from stores and restaurants. I give it five stars because 10 is not an option

Lovely quiet park like setting.

Very nice, personable welcome. Family owned & operated. Good Covid safety measures. Very nice grounds, quiet, space & privacy with a hiking trail & platform for view & bird watching. This place is simply beautiful! Our family of four stayed in one of the family cabins for 2 nights, and I wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin was private, comfortable, and the perfect place to relax and recharge in between adventures. Everything you need is nearby, or you don't have to leave at all. There is a playground, hiking trails, a beautiful look out point, and greenhouses where you can buy fresh picked greens and herbs. We saw armadillos, coatis, agoutis, and dozens of bird species from our deck. To top it off the family that owns the property is welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend!

It is rustic and perfect for a family of 4 with three bedrooms and three bathrooms or could be used for a group of travellers. The beds were cozy with just right warm blankets for the windy nights and two wonderful hammocks on the private front deck. The property was beautiful, well located in walking distance and the staff were super helpful.

Clean, comfortable, with trails on the property

Check-in was easy, info about the property was helpful, and the cabin was great! It is spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed. We loved the hammock on the front porch, as well as the outdoor couch. We saw a small armadillo and a coati from the porch. We enjoyed the trails and lookout platform on the property too. This has been my favorite place to stay in CR so far :-)

Our stay at Los Pinos was perfect. The cabin was beautiful and clean, with a wonderful balcony in the rainforest, completely private. The best part was the owners- they went out of their way to help us make reservations for excursions, secure transportation, and recommend great places to eat. They were easy to contact, kind, and made our stay in Monteverde everything we had hoped! Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Monteverde!
