This is a fabulous property, rooms are well appointed and clean with great views. The grounds are incredible, we saw more wildlife around the grounds of the property than at the national park. Highly recommend the restaurant, the views and the food are great.

Hi this is wonderfull boutique hôtel, staff is super friendly they call you by name. The restaurant is really good the the breakfast included makes a big difference. I would say they the rooms and amenities need updating but are still very good. Beautiful view of the valley at the restaurant. You see birds monkeys etc at the hotel. Super stay

The drive to the hotel was its own adventure but once you drive up the entrance, you will be so glad that you choose Koora. The moment we got out of the car to the moment we had to leave, we felt welcomed and honoured.

The room - we got the two room suite - was comfortable and clean; you just need to know that to get to the second bedroom, you have to walk through the first. They are in storage floors, decorated differently and the amenities in the room are great. The only thing I would say I would mark as disliked is that walking INTO the room you are immediately welcomed by the bed which makes taking off shoes and such a bit of an annoyance; this is because culturally we do not walk with our outdoor shoes inside. For those that do, may not be an issue.
We stated 3 days and 2 nights, which included in-room massages … highly recommend.

Room was smaller than expected but it was clean. TV did not have cable but Netflix and Prime video so more than ample. Dining staff were world class and meals well presented. If a person is handicapped some of the walkway could be an issue with the grade. Front desk staff (starts with an M) was quick efficient and a terrific representative for the accommodation. Overall We liked this place. The roads were a bit of a challenge but just take your time and you will be fine. I would certainly recommend. Watch for their 2 nights and 1 free. We missed that one but oh well. Pathways and hiking are nice but the chance of seeing a sloth in the wild has less odds than finding Jimmy Hoffa. Do yourself a favor and go to the sanctuary next door and pay $ as it was totally worth it and we saw 12 sloths.. Have a great trip

The service was great and the staff was very personal, remembering our names, room number, and even where we had sat in the restaurant for breakfast! We were a party of 4 and had an amazing time at Koora Hotel. It was in a great location for hiking, ziplining, horse-riding, night hike etc. The Natura sanctuary was amazing. Only comment was that the Aguti trail could be better signed posted. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. We were also able to order breakfast early at 6.15 am as we had an early hike start. We would highly recommend Koora Hotel.

Breakfast was included where you are served and not buffet style. We had dinner there 2 nights and the food was amazing. We arrived much too early but they were able and happy to accommodate us early and on top of that we were given an upgrade as Expedia VIP guests to their best rooms. This was the loveliest hotel that we've ever stayed in. Wonderful views to the Pacific, luxurious room and amenities, a hummingbird singing in the tree outside and to top it all off we had a private plunge pool with hot water warm enough to ease all the aches and pains of a long hike through the Agouti Reserve adjoining the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, always smiling and interested in our day. One of our new favourites!

Also the roads to the Hotel and to Monteverde in general were horrible, potholes everywhere and unpaved roads. Aside from that everything was wonderful. We stayed in a beautiful hillside bungalow. It is very quiet at the resort and there is plenty of nature to see. We saw baby coatis running all around. The restaurant had good food and the wait staff is pleasant. After our first meal they remembered our names and used them each time they saw us.
