Quiet and good value for money

This is a very affordable 4 star hotel with a very good pool which was surprisingly empty when I stayed there with my family. The restaurant was very good and the staff very attentive. The hotel is large and was only about 20% occupied in July close to peak season which is a bit puzzling to me because the services offered are very good for the price we paid. We paid about 120 Euro per room per night breakfast included for 2 people.
The hotel is 4km from the centre of town and there is no public transport to speak of but if you have your own (or hired) car or are willing to pay for a taxi (15-20 Euro) each way into Ortigia, this is not a bad choice.
What we liked about the hotel was the quiet, the excellent pool, the food and the attentive staff.

Unbelievable!!

We checked in on the 28th May, We had 2 rooms reserved. Upon entering reception We noticed that Hotel dekor is very old.
We were given the keys to our rooms on the 1st Floor and upon entering rooms we could also see that all is old, There was a big problem with air-conditioning and weather was very hot, also fridge was not functioning properly. After 4 hours telling us that air-conditioning was going to be fixed we remained same and couldn't rest and had to go out for some time. Finally they changed room but still same problem. The Hotel needs a big overhaul but after talking to the lady owner I noticed that she was happy with the Hotel as is !!
I honestly don't recommend anyone staying at this Hotel.
It's not cheap and a Nightmare.

We stayed 1 night in a standard room .
The grounds are lovely, the lobby area is very nice and the staff are very good.
I was underwhelmed with the room. This is a 4 star hotel that markets refined elegance. I did expect a nicer room - basic beige - no colour features as the website - no features at all. No tissues in the bathroom, no face cloth, 1 tiny soap, no body lotion - a slow draining shower - I did expect more.
The breakfast/ dining room was again basic. Tables lined up against the walls - a large area on the center - empty - very poor layout - it felt institutional.
This appears to be a hotel that needs a bit of care and attention. It wouldn't take much to return the former glory.

Quiet and nice little hotel.

This was an emergency last-minute booking as the hotel I originally was booked at was overbooked, but it turned out for the better.
Not sure what Syracuse, in general, has to offer, but this small hotel in the center was quite a small oasis in the middle of a, how to put it, uninteresting neighborhood.
Clean, friendly, and well maintained.

If you are going to Syracuse, then this small hotel is recommendable.

Lovely stay at peaceful Parco delle Fontane.

We really enjoyed our stay at Parco delle Fontane. The pool area in particular is fantastic, and the grounds are very well kept. It's a relaxing location for exploring the Syracuse area, about 15 minutes drive to Ortigia, where parking proved to be fine. The service was excellent, and we enjoyed dinner the one night we stayed in.

Lovely hotel with garden.

This is a very nice hotel. Very comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Part of the hotel was originally a 19th century house and has a mature garden in the front that separates you from a fairly busy road.

An excellent hotel with all the facilities you should want. We liked the fact we could park the car in a secure location. Breakfast was first class, with a huge variety on self-service continental buffet style.

Staff on the front desk were extremely helpful, as were everyone we bumped into.

Overall an outstanding hotel.

Pretty hotel - just what we wanted

We stayed here for the first few days of our 'mini-moon.' The hotel was lovely, very clean and tidy. The pool was lovely and the breakfast was good (unless you get down there at 9.55!)

We were a little disappointed with the size of the room - it was really quite small - and the view was of a very unattractive construction site but other than that, we had a happy stay.

Very good hotel

Hotel is located in the new town of Siracusa close to the outskirts in what looks like a residential area. Ortigia is only a 10-15 minutes away by car. Hiring a car is recommended as there is not much too see in the area.

The hotel is set on well maintained grounds with trees and a very good pool area with sun loungers and parasols. The place itself is very relaxing and peaceful.

Hotel room was spacious and clean with a large bed.

Staff were really really friendly and helpful.

Breakfast had a good selection of food.

Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Siracusa. As mentioned, the hotel is not in a tourist area so a car is needed to visit the sights in Siracusa, which are around 10-15 minutes away by car. The onsite parking is free and convenient.

An oasis of calm

The hotel is set in lovely grounds with small fountains, mature trees, flowers etc and a swimming pool with plenty of seating and a resident cockerel. The hotel is elegant and the rooms comfortable. The food in the dining room is excellent with plenty of choice. The staff are attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous and ensure guests have all that they require.

We enjoyed the peace and being just over two miles out of Syracusa itself. There is secure prking within the hotel grounds which has electronic gates. All in all, a lovely place to unwind.

This is a true luxury hotel. Beautiful grounds, lovely large room with every amenity of a 5 star hotel. Great buffet breakfast and free parking. You need a car to go to Ortigia or Siracusa where one can park in the city covered parking lot. We had a fantastic time at the hotel and highly recommend it. The price was very reasonable for such a nice hotel.

It's excellent value, the staff are courteous and helpful, and the breakfast is fabulous, especially if you like cakes and pastries!! Certainly a great place to base yourself if you are touring around the area. We would stay there again gladly so any small negative points below are directed to the hotel management to make the place even better.

There are a few niggly points (housekeeping lacking not in cleanliness but not replacing bathroom goodies every day. The rooms are large but there is no comfortable chair to relax in. There's no shaving mirror and the sheets were not changed every day. The television service could be upgraded to at least provide one channel in English, French and German. Also there is no porter service) that would make the hotel even better but this should not put off anybody thinking of staying there.

An oasis of pace and comfort

We stayed here two nights at the end of March.
The hotel is located in a residential area, at about 10min drive to Ortygia.
A great base for exploring the area.
It has a nice large garden with plenty of parking spaces.
Our Classic Double Room was very clean, big and bright, the bed was perfect, the bathroom as well.
The continental breakfast had a good range of local products.

I fully recommend it.

The feel of a resort.

Parco Delle Fontane is a delightful oasis on its own gated grounds feeling like an estate in the middle of an urban neighborhood. The facility is clean, likewise the spacious room and wonderful breakfast in the elegant dining room. Staying here was a high level of comfortability.

A hidden gem.

This was a great and unexpected treat. On all points it was lovely, and a parking spot included! We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and felt it was a great place to do that. The restaurant down the street that they recommended was fun too. The owner didn't know English but he had a photo menu on his phone.

A hotel with potential, not best location.

Hotel has great potential in terms of the building, being large, exceptionally clean and well decorated. Shame no evening meals, pool, gym or spa. Front desk staff good, breakfast room staff functional but lacking in customer service. Hotel is clearly used for events, one of which was held during our stay when the dining room was used and leftover food presented to paying guests. Bar closed to paying guests at 10.30 pm which is a great shame. We were not once asked whether we were satisfied as guests which is disappointing.

This hotel is situated in a former large villa which has been recently beautifully restored in the Italian style. It is set back from the road behind a large garden of mature trees. The hotel is family owned and a close eye is kept on the running of the establishment. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are of a good size and spotlessly clean, bedding is changed every two days. breakfasts are continental type with a wide choice, always including local delicacies. We consider that the price we paid for our stay was extremely reasonable for the standard and service which we received.

A disappointing experience

If you don't have a car this hotel is NOT a good location. There is no regular bus service. You will be dependent on taxis recommended by the hotel. We were displeased with this inconvenience and felt misled by some other reviewers comments - i.e. ones that said the location is good.

The beautiful photos of the front of the hotel and the interior are not the complete picture. Our room at the back looked over a field of waste ground and the hotel is definitely at odds with its bustling urban sprawl environs. Stepping out the front of the hotel you walk directly onto a busy road with no pavements. So again, not a hotel designed for guests without a car.

Arredamento delle stanze e dei locali comuni vecchio e vetusto.
Giardino di ingresso non curato con una sola \"fontana\" funzionante, se si può chiamare fontana un tubo che dal terreno eroga acqua.
Ristorante non funzionante nel periodo del mio soggiorno e ovviamente non segnalato sul limk dell'hotel.
Tutte le sere al rientro in camera trovavo due o tre scarafaggi che pascolavano sul pavimento della camera.
Hotel sconsigliatissimo, delle 4 stelle non si riscontra nessun servizio di appartenenza a questa categoria.

We had a very spacious room that, like the other reviews said - needs an update.

Breakfast was nice, a little understaffed leading to waiting for refilling, coffee orders, information about what is available and cleaning.

Pool area was amazing, very calm, quite and not too crowed.

I understand that the hotel has been a 4 star hotel pre-covid, however, when looking back at old pictures of the breakfast, lunch, rooms and garden area its obvious that they have had to decrease the offering, however the room prices did not reflect the decreased quality.

Walking to the old city of Siracusa takes up to 1 hour a taxi costs 15€ minimum.

Et magisk sted, en rolig oase i travle Siracusa. Vakker gammel Villa gjort om til et moderne 4 stjernens hotel. Anbefales på det varmeste! Deilig å bo litt utenfor travle Ortigia, med mulighet til å trekke seg tilbake og bade i det vakre bassenget. God mat, god service, passer for voksne, par. Ikke for barn.

Superbe hôtel mais excentré

Cet hôtel est assez excentré pour visiter Syracuse. Pour notre part ce n'était pas un problème car nous avions une voiture. Il se situe en banlieue au milieu d'immeubles sans que ce soit un problème. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de restaurants dans le quartier. La chambre était spacieuse et propre avec une cabine de douche d'une dimension correcte (assez rare dans nos hôtels précédents). Le personnel est avenant et fait des efforts pour parler français. Le petit déjeuner est correct (vrai café) pour la période de covid (on est servi par un membre du personnel). Le parc de l'hôtel est joli (et isole des petits immeubles environnants), la piscine d'une dimension honorable. Il y a un parking fermé.

Globalement décevant

Les photos se refletent pas l'hotel aujourd'hui. Assez loin d'Ortigia, il faut absolumeny une voiture pour s'y rendre. Les chambres sont grandes mais la deco tres viellotte. Bon petit dejeuner et bon service. Petite piscine.
