Large room and balcony, staff on welcome desk friendly and helpful. Well equipped room facilities. Great idea of honesty bar and Lola the robot was quirky. Room top garden beautiful.
It was disappointing that some furniture was broken or ripped. The spa was 40 euros each to use which we were not expecting. There is no pool.

Really cool modern hotel with robot butlers. Fun idea but a little scary! Another good idea was their honesty bars, saves on paying staff I assume!
The spa was brilliant, well priced for all day access. The food was really tasty for breakfast and it’s on until 11am. Perfect tor lazy chilled days, they left rose petals on our bed as it was our honeymoon which was a lovely touch. It was a 35 minute walk from the centre of Syracuse and taxis are squirt expensive, there is a bus but we didn’t bother with it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Roof bar was chilled out. The private balcony only had two lounger chair and two of us stayed. I’d suggest having too to encourage more usage.

“Syracuse is a magical city. This hotel is about 20 minutes from Ortiga ( the main attractions or the historic island, ) but we needed a place with parking since we were driving from Palermo to Syracuse. It’s very easy to get from the hotel to other places, and finding a parking spot is not a problem.”

Lovely hotel, in great condition with really nice and helpful staff on reception. Breakfast seemed good but somethings were lost in translation - I ordered an omelette but never got it. My wife ordered an Americano but got a cold coffee. We dont have any complaints however. €20 taxi trip to Ortigia though, which is expensive - and you have to visit Ortigia.

The best part of this hotel is the property. The private beach, the pool and views. The breakfast that is included is excellent and the restaurant is refined. The hotel and furnishings are a bit dated but the hotel is clean and well maintained. Only thing that’s a negative is that you really can’t walk to anything. You need to drive or take a shuttle to go anywhere.

I liked the breakfast and gym. The rooms felt dirty. We received damp towels with mildew, and worst of all, they tried charging me extra for spa services and for alcoholic beverages which I did not participate in/have. I didn’t appreciate that.

Property look good on pictures. Till we arrive. It start with location between flats pretty far from anything. Then we walk in. Unbelievable. Dirty worn out old. Staff was nice then we get in room. Carpet super nasty dirty in hallways. AC was not working. Room it’s small super basic all it’s old worn out. I never slept on more uncomfortable bed ever. And I travel a lot . Because ac was not working and no fan we open window. What a mistake. With in minutes room was full of mosquitos. We wake up at 2 am and don’t go sleep it was impossible. Save your money. It’s not worth it

Great service. We were initially given a smaller room which was difficult for us to maneuver around with out luggage but the hotel was very accommodating and moved us into a bigger room the next morning. Loved the fact they remembered it was our 25th anniversary trip and welcomed us with some Prosecco! Lovely large terrace off the room but with limited views. Gorgeous rooftop terrace that is just not utilized by anyone while we were there. The hotel should promote this more and possibly run dinner and a light food menu as well on the rooftop to make it more inviting for guests to go and use. Overall a great stay!

Hotel is nice, but the rooms are poor. Shower room and toilet are in a wet room which stinks of dampness. Sink is in the room. Water goes everywhere. Staff are excellent. Gym is strange, but pretty decent. Restaurant decent. I was in the area for work and decided to change hotel due to the room.

Hotel is quiet with an excellent restaurant (try the fish!), self-service bars, available parking, rooftop terrace (it was rainy and cool but you can tell it is a great space), excellent buffet breakfast, helpful staff. Only thing that disappointed are the hall and stair carpets that need replacing or a heavy-duty cleaning. Rooms were very clean though. Would stay there again.

We loved our stay at this hotel - very chic and clean, with great amenities. We loved the room (even though we couldn’t figure out how to turn off the entry light) - stylish, comfortable king bed, excellent shower. The staff greeted us warmly and accommodated an early check in for us. Breakfast (included in our booking) was top rate with a menu to order from. We’d stay here again!

Fun and Magical Hotel One

Our last stop during week long Sicily holiday. Service and staff were fantastic ~ especially Laura. We used hotel bikes to go to The Archaeological Park. The Ear of Dionysius was an easy 15 minute ride from the hotel. The spa was a relaxing, cleansing break from trekking. The breakfasts were absolutely top notch. Especially making fresh carrot, celery, apple, ginger and beet juice every morning. And I can’t go without mentioning the pastries.
Hotel One is about a 35 minute walk to Ortygia ~ a little magical isle off Sircusa with sites such as the Piazza Duomo, the Temple of Apollo, the Fountsin of Minerva. Restaurants like Sicilia in Tavola are outstanding examples of local cuisine.
I would return in a heartbeat💗

Superb staff make the UNA Experience

The assistance and service by the front desk especially and others was fantastic - went out of their to help and assist. The standard regular double room was a little tight for 2 folks but high ceiling helped ( sink area and luggage storage was limited in size). Nice Sky Lounge area and gym areas. Breakfast was lovely with make to order omelets etc with all the morning foods.

Great modern facilities, very friendly, professional, and helpful staff. They will ensure you get answers to your questions. Very clean place, delicious breakfast (and dinner available too), artistic design all over the hotel. If you have a car, you will be very close to everything. If you are walking, you are close to pharmacies, restaurants, cafés, fruit and vegetable stores, meat market, local bakery type stores, churches, and more. I cannot describe enough how happy I am my experience there.

Lovely hotel, with amazing staff that couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was really good, with food cooked fresh to order. My only criticism is that it's quite a way out from the main part of Ortigia and that made it inconvenient to get to and from. Taxis were expensive too and greatly differed in price, so made it very unpredictable and sometimes costly if you got the wrong driver.

Fun, cool hotel with a great breakfast

The hotel has a cool city break vibe. Everything is modern. The breakfast is superb. There's a broad range of pastries, a blender so you can make your own juice plus a breakfast chef to cook a hot breakfast.
The best thing about the hotel is the staff. They're all incredibly upbeat and helpful. My husband had quite a serious accident while we were on a day trip. The staff at the hotel helped make the room safe for him to use, they organised a taxi to drive us to the relevant medical appointments and found us some food in the middle of the night. all the while smiling and joking. Their help and enthusiasm meant we still enjoyed our stay despite the circumstances.

First impressions of the Hotel were great and everything else matched that first impression. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, well appointed and all mod cons room. I only ate breakfast at the hotel (out in the evening) and that was varied and plentiful. Great gym with modern and mixed equipment for cardio and muscle work. I didn't get to use the spa (too busy exploring) but I took a peak and it looked great. I read a review before I went and someone said it was a hike from the station (it's about 2km) but that's no distance in a cab or on a bike (there is a bike scheme in the town) but I didn't mind the walk. My only nit pick would be its in the middle of a typically Italian residential area but then that's Italy for you. From the sublime.....the price I paid was great too.

- materials are a bit cheap
- spa costs extra (was probably written somewhere in the small print, but I wasn't aware of it. EUR30 for 1 and EUR50 for 2). However, the treatments are relatively cheap.

Trying to be funky, but in the end, impractical

A bit weird really this one. Ok, so it's modern and all, but it just tries a bit to hard to be funky to the point of being impractical. Huge gym space, off reception and goes for two levels, and three bathroom sinks near reception, and toilet facilities near reception and breakfast room are nightclub dark. Hmmm. So we got a free room upgrade. Ends up being too funky. It's a circular bed in a tiny room, so there are weird cavity spaces and entirely limited storage for anything. Two in the room is almost one too many. And the bathroom is in a corner space, and the circle thing means the bathroom has about six tiny sides, no window, and not big enough to include a sink. That is pushed into a space near the bed of course. Too weird. Should have declined the upgrade, as reality is that if hotel rooms are going to be small, they need to be a rectangle or square. Whacky lighting in the room, some rooms being smoking (it's 2016!), dark hallways (a la nightclub again), and a lift that can only handle one command at a time (try pressing another floor when someone else has pressed one, and it can't handle it), and it's all not going great. Positives are friendly staff and great breakfast. Additional negative is its in the middle of nowhere. 40 min walk to Old Town (Ortiega). All in all, there are other options closer to Ortiega. I hate giving hotels poor reviews, but this one really left me wondering.

We stayed in the hotel for one week vacation. Location is a bit odd, but if you have car it is ok place to make trips around. Most good restaurants are in Syracuse are in Ortigea, so you usually need a drive to go there. Best in the hotel was the gym - very well equipped and not crowded. Also the selection in the breakfast was great - you could make your own juice and also the fresh orange juice. Rooms were very small and there was not enough shelfs or drawers for clothes - ok for a short visit, but in our case one week vacation and prepared for different activities it was not enough. Hotel has a spa, but the visits are regulated, so only 1-2 parties are at the same time. This was good, but meant that if you didn´t reserve in time, you could´t go. Beauty treatments were also ok.

The hotel is strangely modern. Staffed much like a hostel, music playing all the time. It has a lot of weights, and some ok cardio equipment. Room was small, the neighborhood isn't great, there aren't sidewalks to get anywhere, and getting to the old historic part of Siracusa is a 40minute walk.

Great place to chill out

Stayed for a week with a friend. Ate in the restaurant- good value. Breakfast great; juicer and range of veg and fruit available to use. Spent an afternoon in the spa and having a massage when the weather was bad. Very modern decor, clean lines and monochrome, but the steam room is carved out of the rock the hotel stands on. Not in the heart of things but good bars and restaurants near by. Staff very helpful.

Best hotel with gym and parking in Sicily

When we arrived we needed to change the room and they were very helpful with 2 options. We got the one facing the ocean. Breakfast was very good. I had to wash my car and one of the helpers at the reception drove with her motorcycle in front of me until we got the place. We used the gym and was very good. The helpers at the reception are young women and were excellent service. The top fllor (4) is an open terrace very nice to stay in the afternoon. The place was not dark at all as I read in other reviews. It has a decor that is different than most hotels in Sicily but reminded me of some hotels I've been in New York. It is modern with good taste and the rooms have a good space. Cleaning was excellent. Location was good if you have a car. It takes around 10 minutes to drive to Ortiga.

Nice roof garden, hotel itself okay but a bit soulless. Breakfast is falsely advertised on website with lots of luscious pictures of fruit etc...in fact no fruit, lots of sweet cakes instead. Stay in ortigia area instead, lovely with much more character. Customer service but poor.

We could check in early, at 11am instead of 15pm whoch was great and we were upgraded to a terrace room. Breakfast is typical Sicilian; pastries and fruits. Restaurant was disappointing and expensive for what was offered and what we chose. Second night we ate at a great little fish restaurant at the harbour.

We were greeted at the parking lot by the hotel stuff. It was great. We were early for check in so we were sat in the waiting area and given freshly squeezed orange juice while we waited. When our room was ready our bags were taken up for us. We were taken very well care of. One criticism was the air conditioner didn't work for more than 10 minutes at a time. The weather was rather warm so the sleep was not comfortable.

We LOVED this hotel. For a three-day romantic getaway to Siracusa, this hotel was perfect for us. The hotel feels like a W hotel crossed with a nightclub. Everything was very modern and clean. The staff were extremely helpful. UNA is not in the touristy part of Siracusa, but the staff were able to provide recommendations and directions to great restaurants and beaches. Our room was a little on the small side, and there wasn't really any privacy in the bathroom, but otherwise we really liked it. The breakfast offering were pretty good - the usual continental fare, alongside a juicer and fresh fruit and vegetables. As former jocks, we were really impressed by the 2-floor gym, with all the equipment we needed to get our sweat on! Lastly, the rooftop bar provides the perfect place to enjoy a beverage before walking down to the village for dinner.

The quality of the hotel is very nice and the provisions help to make the stay enjoyable. The staff are very accommodating. There is a wonderful trail nearby for running along the sea. The hotel has the chic look, upon close inspection, the hardwares used are not really top notch. My shower has a design with no door. Result is every time after shower, the bathroom became a mini pool. House keeping staff is excellent. The hotel is has a resort-spa concept, there is a full gym and once can enjoy various pampering with the Spa facility. However, the breakfast is way too healthy for me, I am hungry soon after. My stay was work related and it lasted for over a week. The two main reasons I picked this hotel is 1. it is close to an associate's office, which I will have many meetings to go to and 2. There is Free wifi in the room. However, upon arrival, I was told that wifi is €7 per day. With protest that I clearly remembering there is supposed to be free wifi for the room and the the fact I am staying many days, they relented and grant me a password with unlimited access. I had required additional assistance subsequently, the hotel did try their best to accommodate. But the first incident was still not pleasant. I would have never booked this hotel if internet was not included even through I also have internet wireless key, but service in Sicily in general is quite spotty. Never tried their restaurant or bar which is on rooftop. This area of Siracusa is too far to reach tourist destinations by walk (such as Ortigia or Greek Theater). The price I paid for the stay was very reasonable and parking was easy, which was another minor criteria I look for.

Great hotel for couples and business travellers

Great hotel, could be so much more - it feels like it has a lot of potential that has been wasted by some very basic oversights that bring it down.

Shame that it was undergoing a refurb in areas whilst we were guests, and there were rolls of old carpet and piles of building materials left lying around. They could easily have been tidied away out of sight of the guests.

The corridors were too dark, as was the lobby. I appreciate that it's a 'design hotel' but it felt slightly seedy and gave totally the wrong atmosphere when you are arriving.

The staff were excellent, incredibly helpful, kind and obliging. The breakfast was excellent, as was the overall decor of the hotel.

It's just a shame that our room was so small, the open shower stall leaked (flooding the bathroom floor and flowing into the bedroom), the new (I assume) black carpet made the soles of our feet go black (!), and there were no spare plug sockets apart from 1 in the bathroom - which was utterly inconvenient for plugging in your phone to charge at night.

Apart from these issues, it was a great place to stay and very comfortable. Just a shame about the oversights as with the free parking and guest facilities (gym, beauty salon, roof garden, library/design shop) it has the potential to be an excellent hotel.

Reasonable distance from Ortigia, which is basically where everything happens in this city.

More than we could have asked for. The rooms and hotel are wonderful and staff extra helpful. The ultra modern hotel had loads to offer including the fab rooftop garden at the end of the day for cocktails. The near by Zen beach club is also a must and unlike any other place on the island. Only thing missing was a pool otherwise it was epic. Breakfast is a special treat too.

Nice hotel, good staff, good breakfast.

We had a problem with our safe which was rectified as soon as we pointed it out. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

Room was nice with enough space.

The hotel is located a bit far out from the city centre and Ortigia. We didn't have a car but we enjoyed the walk, particularly along the coast (on the former train track).

UNA hotel one in Siracusa

While they indicate that the hotel is “situated in the heart of Syracuse”, the hotel is not at all located near Ortigia and you will need to walk at least 30-45 minutes from the hotels to the tourist main sights such as the Archeological site and Ortigia. While they gave me an executive room, the room was still very small, carpet in the room and the breakfast is rather small. I would not recommend for sure.

Eccellente Colazione, tutto prima qualità, servizio perfetto e ampia scelta. La camera non meritava il titolo di ”executive” ricevuta dopo un free upgrade da una camera “easy”.
Era una camera standard con dotazioni standard. Staff professionale e perfetto, gentile e disponibile. Non abbiamo potuto visitare la spa e nemmeno fare un massaggio per indisponibilità, era full.
Per il resto è stato un piacevole soggiorno. Ritorneremo sicuramente.

Punti di forza: sicuramente tutto il personale ma proprio tutto, la colazione eccezionale per qualità e bontà dei prodotti sempre freschissimi e cucinati al momento, il roof come oasi di relax e gli honestly bar. Non ho provato la spa.
Punti negativi: la moquette dei corridoi ha raggiunto uno stato di non ritorno e le stanze meriterebbero un leggero restyling in particolare le docce con soffione altissimo che inevitabilmente genera allagamento ad ogni doccia
