Also the tub in the room drained really slow like the drain wasn’t cleaned out properly.. other than that it was a great place to stay and would definitely go back! Staff was very friendly!

Nice clean adjoining rooms with extended family. We loved swimming in the pool, using the Hot tub. And had a fresh and warm breakfast the next day. Would recommend this hotel in Stevens Point. My son had a basketball tournament at Pacelli high school the next morning, so this location was perfect!

Stayed one night, in two separate rooms. Rooms were great! They were spacious, clean and stocked. It was a nice quiet stay. We didn't eat breakfast, and didn't spend time looking at the area around the property, so can't speak to those areas. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Two visits

We stayed at this hotel for two nights two weeks ago and had a good experience so we stayed again for two nights while visiting our daughter and her family. The hotel is clean and the people at the front desk and the breakfast area are friendly.

However, we won’t stay at the property again. During our first visit, we noticed at breakfast that a lot of people were going to a band camp. Apparently these kids and their families weren’t big smokers because we didn’t notice any smoke smell. But during our second stay, the hotel lobby and hallway smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We then noticed the smoking area is right in front of the hotel and there is even a table and chairs there, right next to the front door. I don’t want to smell the smoke or to smell like smoke, so I won’t be staying there again.

Beds not hard, not soft, kind of in between. Would probably stay again if I was alone instead of traveling with a child. It is a quiet location.

It was our 1st time staying here and I was impressed! The front desk employees were super friendly! The beds!!! Oh they were very comfortable! So much so that i asked if they stold the sheets and blanket they use in the rooms! We will be staying here again in the future when we come to visit family next. The pool needs resurfaced for sure and there were no towels in the pool area either of the times I used it. The room was clean, I liked the tv in the bathroom, breakfast was decent, friendly staff. There were no USB plugs in the room to use a cord to charge things and overall the room and decor looked a little \"tired\". It was pretty spendy to be lacking in some important area's.

Health Hazards and Poor Management at the Hotel Po

The bed sheets were stained upon arrival, setting the tone for our stay. The thermostat in our room was also broken, making it impossible to adjust the temperature for comfort. When we visited the pool and hot tub, it became clear that something was wrong with the chemical levels. Shortly after entering, several members of our party and other hotel guests began coughing. We reported this to the front desk, but the response was dismissive: “It’s just the hot tub jets.”

We also noticed another guest vaping right next to the hot tub, which could have affected the chemical balance. One member of our group experienced shortness of breath and even vomited shortly afterward, while others had bloodshot eyes. When we reported the vaping incident to the front desk, the staff member replied, “I don’t know how to do my job, I’m bad at confrontation. If you want me to say something, I can try, or you can say something.”

The staff showed no concern for the situation, even as guests exited the pool coughing and with visible irritation. Between the stained sheets, the broken thermostat, and the lack of response to serious health concerns at the pool, this stay was incredibly disappointing.

Not worth the cost

Nice staff. Horrible hard bed. Musty old smell, needed to bring in our own room spray to mask it because it was so bad. Pool was teeny tiny. Card key kept deactivating, I had to get a new one three times in a two night stay. Very close to UWSP. My next visit, I'll go elsewhere. Not worth what I paid for two nights.

The Country Inn & Suites in Stevens Point is easy and accessible, just minutes off the highway and minutes from downtown. It's dated but seems fairly well kept. The only issue I had was with the shower - it sounded like a screaming tea kettle the whole time.

One night stay, Handicapped accessible room

We stayed in the handicapped accessible room for one night. Upon checking in the front desk clerk Amara was so super helpful and pleasant, she helped us with our luggage to the room and was so sweet to offer us some beverages she wasnt using. She gets 5 stars in our eyes! We took advantage of the pool and jacuzzi and that was wonderful. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable, The handicapped accessible room was very roomy and the rool in shower with the foldable bench was excellent. My only negative comment was some of the pillow cases smelled like body odor. We didnt get up in time to take advantage of the free breakfast but we were appreciative of the free coffee still available after breakfast was over. Over all this was an excellent stay and would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Improvement Needed

The hotel is in need of upgrades. Room smelled musty. Mattress was not comfortable. Bathtub very old, peeling paint in bathroom. Woke up to ants in the bathroom. Staff apologized when I reported it on the way out. This hotel was about $50/night more than other rooms in the area, so I was disappointed by the low quality. Staff were friendly but that doesn’t make up for the room.

I had a king suite. The couch and chair had so many stains on them and felt greasy, it made me not want to sit in them. The front desk lady was trying so hard to be helpful. She was clearly new and a bit overwhelmed with the big school group that checked in before me. The bed was comfy and sheets were clean. Again the drains on the carpet were really bad.

We were in town for a UWSP event and this hotel was a perfect location! Clean, safe, attentive staff, comfortable. We frequently stay at Country Inns and had just stayed at one in another state and that experience paled in comparison to this one. The property was close to where I needed to take care of my business so that was very convenient.

The hot tub had sand in the bottom of it and the sidewalls were filthy with sludge and scum. It needs to be drained, cleaned, and renovated.

The pillows were terrible. Some interest and investment needs to be put in to the pillows. For $110 per night I should have a good pillow on my bed.

The comforter needs replacing as well. I may as well have just slept with a sheet. Not very comfortable.

It was a great choice for my family and I while we were attending my cousin’s wedding in Rapids. The room was spaces, clean, the location was near a highway, golf course as well as a walking trail.
