The owners are fantastic and welcoming and the property was sufficient for an affordable, quick overnight stay with low expectations. There were plenty of stray hairs in the bed (though the sheets looked otherwise clean) and when I closed the bathroom door, there was of dust and hair noticeable on the floor. The complementary eggs were inedible, but the fresh waffle was sufficient.

My only mild complaint was I had to make multiple trips to the front desk to get my room keys reactivated. I’m pretty conscious of where I put my room keys so this doesn’t happen, so I’m not sure what the issue was. Never used the pool. Free breakfast was as expected. Overall a good stay, and a good value.

We have stayed at this place multiple times over the last 4 years. Honestly, it's starting to feel a little run down and not as well taken care of as it used to be. While the pool and hot tub were nice, the room was just feeling old and in need of an update. And the breakfast was not good at all. The waffle batter was too runny to make waffles, the gravy was watered down and the supplies were not stocked well. We will be looking for other options in Stevens Point next time.

The room was filthy. Cobwebs in window. Sink bug in window. Window frame would not close all the way, so air from outside could get in. Stains of black and cherry color on comforter underside, dog hair and human hair under covers. Would have stayed and slept on top of bedding but too many things were just not sanitary. Offered us a different room, but at that point we chose to drive home instead of staying there. Waiting on refund of room charge, $25 incidental charges.

Stayed quite some time here — if you are going to be there an extended time, call the hotel directly for a better rate than what is advertised here.
Ask for room service when you want it - even though they said ever 3 days, it didn’t happen unless I asked. Breakfast was standard fare - waffles, eggs, biscuits & gravy with sausage rotating in & out a couple times a week, yougurt, muffins/cereal/oatmeal/bagels.
The pool and hot tub was better than the Holiday Inn Conference center we were at prior to staying here - it was always warm and got to know other travelers staying there.
Honestly, I was looking for a hotel not a motel that didn’t break the bank and this fit the bill.

The thing I did not like is the TV, why is it the TV’s are so low all you see is your feet when laying in bed. Put the TV’s on the wall is a must!

I was asked by text to complete a pre-arrival check-in, which I did, but still stood at the desk for 15 minutes while the clerk fumbled with the computer and asked me questions. So why waste my time texting me to complete a pre-arrival form? Although the staff was ok, when I asked the next morning if there was a room available so I could stay an extra night, I was told there were rooms available but would be $188 + taxes, after I had paid $95 total for the first night. The clerk wasn't very friendly about the inquiry. On the morning of check-out, every time I stepped out of my room, a cleaning person would ask if I was checking out. This was 2-3 hours before check-out. I really didn't care for being pressured like that.

I've been to La Quinta's before this is probably one of the worst ones I have been to. Very disappointed the breakfast was not very good. And the room was very very old and smelly. Cockroaches!

We found baby cockroaches in our sink and had a dead cockroach on a table in our room. We looked all over our room for more. We took a video of the sink and brought the dead cockroach down to the front desk and talked to Haydin who was working when we checked in. She was wonderful, apologetic, and tried to put us in a new room, but she said they were fully booked. We were in town for a soccer tournament and most of the team was staying at the Hampton. We tried calling there to get a different room, but they were fully booked too. We tried a few other places, but everyone was booked because of the busy weekend. Haydin was really nice and helpful, and told us to let her know if we had any other problems. Every time we came back to our room, we were checking for cockroaches and my 12 year old daughter was scared to sleep in the room. Overall, the help was wonderful, but we were disgusted with finding cockroaches in our room!

We reserved this room because if it’s affordability. However, when we entered the room it was quite evident that someone had been seated on the bed, the bathroom light was on, and the toilet seat was up in the “male usage” position. There was a variety of dead bugs on the window sill, and at night there were bugs crawling all over the bathroom floor. The fitted sheet did not stay in place and I had to get up several times to fit it back over the mattress.

The coffee was so weak as to look like the color of tea and the breakfast included eggs but nothing to go alongside but biscuits and gravy, which is not something that most people choose.

I have stayed at La Quinta hotels before and been satisfied, so I can only chalk this up to the Stevens Point, Wisconsin facility.

Had a pretty bad experience here. While the staff was courteous, the property was outdated and need some serious attention. Entrance is a smoking area which gave an initial bad impression due to the smell. At around 1am I was woken up by terrible creaking sound from upstairs. I thought someone checked in late and tried ignoring it. That lunatic kept walking with thuds and creeks for over two hours. I complained at the helpdesk but had no luck. With pillows around my ears I could sleep for a couple of hours only to be woken by creeks and thuds around 5am. Breakfast was for the name sake. Overall not a good experience

My husband stayed there for one night. He said it was a very nice and clean hotel. He didn't partake in the bkf since he left real ealy but did say the coffee was good at 1:30am. Friendly staff overall a pretty good place to stay.
