Room was fine, comfortable. The mattress needs to be flipped or replaced. Head way lower than feet. Coffee warmers in breakfast room, did work very well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This was our second stay and will stay again. Whole place very clean and decorated for Valentines.

The room was just below average. There was hair in the shower when we first got in the room, the paint was peeling off the ceiling, the carpet was filthy. It was just dingy and kind of gross. However, the breakfast selection was great and the staff was wonderful. It really comes down to coorporate managment and being satisfied with below average maintaince. The staff is doing all they can do.

The free parking was great; however, that is all I can really say that is \"good\" about this place. The room had mold around the window, there were spiders in the room (including one in my bed that I found the next morning), and it was very dusty. Upon telling the person at the front desk, I got a flippant \"it happens\" response. Yes, bugs happen but NOT in the bed! I usually don't leave reviews but I want to warn people to use caution before booking this hotel.

We had a mixed experience. We were asked to wait until 4:00 pm for check-in and then waited an additional 45 minutes for our room. The hotel feels old, including the TV. There were hairs in the shower, and the sofa bed was very worn out and uncomfortable. The front desk staff was not very friendly.

On the positive side, the location is excellent, and the lady who serves breakfast is very kind and cheerful.

The front desk staff were knowledgeable and nice. The room however need a good scrubbing and updates. The walls & doors of our room were filthy and there was food left in our refrigerator. The room was also on the side of the indoor pool with an over powering chlorine scent inside that was only okay when it covered the smell from our in-room fridge with the former tenants food. The a/c & heating wall unit was very temperamental and was on a crisp 60* cool upon arrival. The only items that were replinished during our days at the breakfast buffet were the items in the heating dishes. I was able to get an attendant to provide more waffle batter. The location is convenient to downtown Helen and quiet.

The room was fine. It was clean and quiet. There are no USB ports in the room so that really need to be updated for this day and age. The breakfast was good and the woman working there is very dedicated to her job!!! There was a piece of metal protruding from one the beds that brused my husband's leg.

We had a terrible experience with this hotel. We booked a suite ( paid reservation) and upon reaching the hotel with our toddler after driving for 5 hours, we were told that there was no suite available as all the suites were already booked. At one it was suggested that we are free to look for a room elsewhere , imagine our predicament, standing at the reception with a tired and cranky toddler and we literally being asked to leave. The lack of empathy shown was appalling. We were eventually accommodated in a standard room. the rooms themselves were old with dilapidated furniture - will never recommend this place to stay!

Our family really enjoyed our stay. We had a 2 queen bedroom suite and with us being a family of 5 this room definitely met our needs.
Breakfast is included and its not continental!
They also have an indoor pool, small gym, and choice of using the stairs or an elevator. Hotel isn't the newest but was very quiet, clean, and staff is super friendly.
We especially enjoyed all the christmas decorations the front desk clerk put up! She was so nice and accommodating. Let's not forget the sweetest woman who cooks the breakfast, checks on you while eating, and insists on cleaning up for you. All in all, the best hotel staff I've met.
The hotel is a short walk from downtown but it has a few hidden gems right in the area.

Room was in poor condition. It was very dark, needs better lighting. The walls were in terrible need of a paint job. There were stains on the sofa cushions, so bad we were afraid to even sit on it. Elevator was broken so we had to carry our heavy luggage down the stair case.

We were booked for 11/7-11/9, showed up at 9:00 on Friday night 11/7 to be told there was no record of our stay, despite having the Hotels.com confirmation and emails pulled up to show the woman. It is interesting to note that this email asking for this review now shows the booking was 11/6-11/8. While standing there, it was evident other parties had been moved around due to some room issues and I'm assuming one was given our room. Listening to the woman argue with the GM on the phone it was evident a mistake had been made somewhere with the GM trying to fix it and the incredibly rude woman at the desk (likely who made the mistake) unwilling to do so. Thankfully Hotels.com was able to get us to a different hotel. I would not give this hotel another minute of my time or penny of my money after the way we were dismissed and mistreated over something that clearly was not our fault. Go to the Holiday Inn down the road and get a better experience!

We only stayed one night, traveling through to a wedding out of state. There was a great variety of breakfast items, the staff were friendly, and everything was clean. Our housekeeper, Julie, left a little note telling us to enjoy our stay - which made the stay feel more personal and our accommodations feel more cared for and clean. We were very disappointed with this hotel, specially after deciding to stay at a \"chain\" where you take certain things for granted like a professional service, and overall good condition of the rooms and general areas.

We unfortunaly arrived to a room that probably shouldn't have been offered to any guest with humidity and cracks in the ceiling, dirty walls and rust in the bathroom. The hotel staff was unapologetic about the situation and mentioned \"they havent had a chance to make repairs\" and didnt even offer to move us to another room, thankfully after talking to Hotels.com customer service they arranged the change.

The hotel in general is rundown and staff service is poor, definitely better options out there specially for the price.

This hotel is a great location, walking distance to everything in Helen. The room was average, not dirty but also not immaculately clean. Nice shower, comfy beds. Breakfast was what you would expect, and the staff was very friendly and helpful there. Only downside was the very scattered check in process — it really took an entire 20 minutes to get checked in. The desk staff was very friendly but also very confused. I would recommend this hotel.

Love the place. The hotel is beautiful. Had a nice indoor pool, had a little gym room that was clean very convenient. The only thing that was bad was the noise from the kids in the room up above us. You could hear people walking around and jumping late at night It woke us up early in the morning too when they got up it would be so much better with younger kids lol bottom floor, and adult adults who were by themselves on the top floor

Bathroom sink drained very slowly as did the shower .
Carpeting blackened the bottom of white socks in a matter of minutes.
I didn't complain as I've stayed elsewhere in the area with worse conditions.
I paid more for this place thinking it would be better.
