Couple getaway

Amazing hotel with a super conenvenient location right in the heart of the city. We reached mkst landmarks on foot and needed the car only to reach the riverside to go on a sunset cruise. Hotel was really pleasant and the adjoining restaurant serving breakfast was very high quality with excellent service. The area in general is highly recommended, full of bars, restaurants and entertainment.

This property was reasonable, as advertised. We stayed in two rooms, one was quieter the other was exposed to some street noise, which I had expected based on other reviews. The street is bumpy, so may be trickier for older guests too drag the bags across, same for getting cabs and such. Street very lively and we enjoyed that, despite the noise. Reasonable Serbian fair in the street, and lots of internal (Serbian) tourism. This is a good budget alternative to the international brands. A step up from a random Airbnb, which I've also done in the past. Staff were ok, but not overly helpful or accommodating. They arranged a cab that never came, etc.

The property is in the middle of the restaurant and cafe area of Belgrade although the late night revellers can go on into the night/morning so may not suit light sleepers. Staff extremely helpful and parking (at a cost) is close by if you want to explore Serbia and surrounding countries.

No parking by the hotel.
Next door is Night Club, where is Friday -Sunday very noisy music till the morning and it is possible to hear it in the eoom 101...

Nice location, close to downtown, and with public transportation available nearby.
Friendly staff. Allowed me early check-in at 10 am.
Its on a pedestrian street and if you have plenty of luggage, it might be problematic.
The street has several restaurants and they play music till late night. Not an issue for me. However if you need a quiet room, ask at check-in the get a room away from front street.

Good central hotel

It is a good hotel in a very central location. Many restaurants nearby, as well as museums & other attractions. You should know that the hotel is on a pedestrian street, so you’d have to walk to your taxi. The street gets noisy in the evening (restaurants, live music & a night club). We had no issues with that, had a great stay.

Spacious and Clean

Very nice hotel on in the Bohemian District of Belgrade. Stayed two different times in this hotel during the trip. Once in a junior suite and once in a standard room. Both were very large with comfortable double beds and large marble bathrooms.

Mini-split air conditioners were quiet and reliable - something you really want during Belgrade summers.

Staff is very friendly and eager to help. Let them arrange your taxi. It's easy to get ripped off by Belgrade taxi drivers if you don't know your way around. (Happened to us twice.) The hotel will get you a reliable metered taxi or a hired car. They even helped my wife retrieve her cellphone when she left it in one of the scammer taxis.

A great full Serbian breakfast was included in our rate at a restaurant about 50 yards away. We tried two other restaurants in the area and were pleased with the prices and food quality. Expect a lot of food!

The entrance can be a little difficult to find as it is just one door next to a nightclub entrance, but the actual hotel is very big.

Other reviewers complained about noise, but we didn't have any problems. It was very quiet - at least compared to downtown Amsterdam.

Note: The hotel is located on a walking-only street with a river rock road. It is probably not a good choice if you have accessibility problems or a large amount of luggage.

Having in mind the area known for its bohemian and merry lifestyle, do not expect quiet nights; because it will be your mistake if you do so. The hotel is perfectly located in the old center and all attractions are reachable on foot. The rooms are clean and spacious with nothing short of. Staff is very friendly and supportive. Will I go there again? With no second thought!

Great room and staff. Comfortable and right on Skadarska. Excellent price, especially for the location. Breakfast upcharge was a bit steep for the area and for the offerings. Carrying my luggage up and down a flight of stairs to get to reception was a surprise as well, but after checkout the desk manager helped. Staff was attentive and courteous—if I have the chance to stay in Belgrade again I’ll be happy to choose Luxury Rooms Velika Skadarlija.

A magical two weeks

It is in the heart of the Bohemian Quarter, just 2 blocks away from Republic Square which is at the center of everything worth seeing in Belgrade. The room was large, clean and with the amenities one would expect from a 3 star property. The staff was friendly, helpful and all of them spoke English quite well.

The breakfast is in a restaurant about 100 meters from the hotel. It was insanely good and such a good deal that you simply cannot reserve without it. Sasha did everything one could want from a waiter.

I write during the day and there is a good lounge area on the first floor. Belgrade has about 1 sq. km that is absolutely magical and Velika Skadarlija is on the edge of it, so everything is an easy walk.

I was skepitcal of Belgrade and only came because it was open despite COVID. However, we will return and we will book here.

Modern comfortable spacious accommodation

It s a modern room in a pedestrian cobblestone area of Belgrade. The whole street is full of restaurants and every night it s crowded. Once you get inside the hotel thought it is quiet. They have responsive front desk 24/7 and they re helpful. You can even call from somewhere to ask them to send you cab back to the hotel. Spacious room and spacious modern bathroom.

What a gem! I chose this property because I know the area well and the location is perfect for sightseeing and evenings out. It is set on an old cobble stoned street with traditional restaurants and bars but the very efficient double glazing cuts out any unwanted noise though we chose to open the window to listen to the folk musicians. Note that this is a pedestrian zone so you will be dropped off at the end of the street. Ask the taxi driver to drop you at the bottom end as it's closer. The property is a converted listed building and as such there is no lift so be aware of this if you have mobility problems. You need to carry your suitcase upstairs!

The accommodation was very clean, fresh and comfortable and the reception staff were all extremely helpful with anything we asked for.
Vera, one of the receptionists, was excellent though all were friendly, and very professional. Breakfast is served at the partner restaurant a few doors down. You order your hot drink and then help yourself to the delicious buffet comprising cooked meats, local cheeses, breads, sauces, fruit, fruit juices, yoghurt, cooked items such as eggs and local sausages and pastries. There is plenty to choose from. We were also given a 10% discount voucher to eat at the Restaurant Velika Skadarlija where the food was fabulous. Portions are large - be warned!

I would not hesitate to return to this accommodation and certainly recommend it.

Det er det mest fantastiske hotel, personalet var rigtig venlige og imødekommende.

Jeg var på en forlænget weekend da min far pludselig blev syg og måtte indlægges, hotellet hjalp mig med alt det praktiske, man ikke har styr på når man står i et fremmed land med en far på 73 år der skal indlægges.

Kæmpe stor tak for det, I hjalp da vi havde brug for hjælp !

Jeg endte med at bo der i alt i 19 dage og vedr. selve hotellet er alt perfekt, lækkert værelse med god seng, dejlig beliggenhed og en morgenmad der får 10 ud af 10.

Så kan varmt varmt anbefale at booke her, jeg vil ihvertfald vælge det igen. Tak for et dejligt ophold

Encantada com o hotel, pertinho de vários pontos turísticos, da Praça da República e da rua famosa com diversos restaurantes, bares, shopping, supermercados e lojas. Tudo muito lindo, limpo e organizado no hotel. Tem até um cheiro perfumado no hall do hotel. Café da manhã é servido em um restaurante próximo do hotel, mas o garçom que te serve, vc escolhe e ele traz pra vc, não é self service, mas é muito bom de qualquer forma, só que é bom ir cedo porque se vc tiver pressa tem que esperar o seu prato ficar pronto. Além do que só começa às 8h da manhã, achei um pouco tarde comparando com outros hotéis. No mais tudo excelente!

A surprise!

You will need ear plugs. While on hotel.com the hotel looks as if located in a quiet side street, it is opposite very noisy restaurants with life music from 2 pm until 2 am in the night. Even the sound insulation windows and a room towards the rear do not help much. There is no breakfast room in the building. Otherwise a really nice hotel.
