Excellent hotel, a true gem inside Chiang Mai old city. Great location, wonderful staff. They recommended 3 excellent restaurants which you should not miss: The Faces, Dash (go online and book weeks in advance) and The House by Ginger (Michelin star but with excellent prices and amazing food). Our room was huge with pool access. The pool is a long lap pool and my husband swam every morning. Excellent breakfast with made to order eggs and coffee, plus a buffet with Asian and western options and delicious Thai coconut desserts. The farmers markets is a 2 minute walk and tons of excellent Thai massage places within 2-3 minute walk. If we are ever back in Chiang Mai, this is the only hotel I want to stay

Thank you to Phor Liang Meun Hotel for a wonderful stay. We had a small issue with our first room which they did a fantastic job of accommodating us and putting us in upgraded room. The staff were incredibly friendly and gave us wonderful suggestions for Old Town, for those looking for a place that’s central and walkable this hotel is your spot. It’s right by South Gate that has a fun night market and in walking distance to the Sunday Night Market and the two biggest temples. Very easy to walk to other markets and locations as well. Hotel itself was really pretty and the rooms spacious and clean.

They provide breakfast as well which was very good. We also had an early tour one morning and we asked about breakfast which they can provide you a to go box if you have to leave early before 7.

Of all the places I stayed in our 10-day trip to Thailand, this was the STAR. The facility was beautiful, traditional and so fun to walk around. The room was also beautiful, well stocked and clean. The staff were very attentive and courteous. The breakfast, though small, had a mix of traditional Thai foods and western foods and I really enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed the fresh, made to order coffee. The location was perfectly set for walking around Chiang Mai’s old town. If I ever return to Chiang Mai, I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is meticulously maintained and the room beautifully decorated. Staff is friendly, courteous, and super helpful. We appreciated the welcome snack and tea at check-in as well as the basket of complimentary snacks, ramen, and bottles of water in the room. Location is excellent inside the old city and within a short distance to the night market. The only complaint we had was the lack of hand towels and wash cloths, which should be an easy fix.

This is a dram of a hotel in a quiet area of the Old City. The hotel itself is amazing, with beautiful common spaces and rooms (the terracotta theme from the family factory that -owns the hotel adds to the magic). Breakfast is generous and the pool is very good, especially considering that this is a dense residential and historic area. Very nice location that is close to the sights of the Old city. Easy access to amenities but very quiet!
All the staff were truly amazing - something that makes the stay particularly special.
All in all, the hotel is superb and will make your stay in this most amazing city truly special.

I was very excited about staying at this property, the pictures and reviews were captivating. This hotel is beautiful but what actually stood out the most were the incredibly gracious staff at the front desk. They were so welcoming and helpful. Dinner reservations, sightseeing recommends and even last minute laundry were taken care of. The room was spotless. We opted to have breakfast included. It was fairly basic in comparison to other places we stayed in Thailand. That would be the only part I would reconsider if I were to do it again- it just didn't match the vibe. Otherwise, the uniqueness of this place will stay with me.

They helped with sending out laundry and it was always returned within 24 hours. They also helped with transportation to/from the airport. Besides the fact, that is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever been because of the terra-cotta carving throughout the hotel, right across the street is my favorite restaurant in the world which is called FACES. The restaurant also is decorated with terra-cotta carving throughout the restaurant and it’s impossible to find parking around there unless you stay at the hotel. The staff is incredibly nice and I really love the help yourself Teas in the front lobby area. The breakfast doesn’t have many options but for what they have it’s done very well. This is my second time staying here and I will come back again.

The only thing letting it down was that the rooms were a bit noisy. We moved room in the end and it was slightly better but still not great. We were top floor so I think what kept us awake were compressors from the Aircon on the roof kicking in and out. It wasn't a deal breaker, just make sure you take earplugs.

The hotel was amazing to look at. The room was adequate. I missed not having a chair in the room to use which made it awkward.There was room for one. Also there was only a stand for one case. The bathroom was small but adequate. The plus side it had a lift. The reception area was amazing and the staff great. If you could pick up the hotel and put it in a different spot as I felt very isolated. Hense the service was exceptional to compensate. There is one great restaurant opposite the hotel called Faces which was interesting and if you are on a short stay that is all you need and the staff get you taxi. Not a lot around in the immediate area. The terracotta and Art give it quite a different and grandure feel.

We had this trip booked over and year and found this property to be unique w great reviews. We booked and unfortunately had an unexpected death in the family having to return immediately to the USA. We called 3 days in advance to cancel and had two rooms two reservation. Yes they have a stated non- refundable policy but any and All Management can choose to make exceptions. After several emails, calls from Expedia they refused. Its not about the cost its the heartless consideration to have not made the exception.
