Sandi Hotel is a charming, colonial style luxury boutique hotel, located inside the historic center, with two onsite parking, which is rare in Paraty. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We tried the 2 restaurants that are operated by the hotel, Fugu (Japanese) and Pupu's (Brazilian) and they are both excellent! My only recommendation would be that the coffee capsules and water bottles be free like most luxury hotels in the world.

Lovely stay!

We loved everything about our stay!! The friendly staff who spoke excellent English, all the freebie coupons to free drinks, ice cream, and dessert at Pupus, a very special restaurant next to the hotel. Super beautiful and charming decor. We even forgot something and they mailed it to us. We hope to go back again some day and can’t recommend it highly enough!!

This is a very good facility downtown Paraty. Excellent breakfast included. The parking lot is safe, but not close to the hotel, and the stone on the street are terrible to haul luggage. Overall is a highly recommended hotel.

Great place in Paraty

Located in the middle of the Old Town in Paraty, Sandi was a real surprise. Extremely well equipped hotel, with multiple pools, spas, lovely landscaped gardens, friendly staff, it’s spread over an entire block in the middle of town. The bed and room were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms were modern and very functional.

We were offered a free ice cream and a drink as part of our check in and the hotel breakfast was fresh, tasty and convenient. The staff were cheerful and friendly and helped us find information on tours etc we could do during our stay.

Being centrally located, the “markets” that spring up nightly are right on the doorstep of the hotel creating a very vibrant experience, the hotel is also surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops, so there is plenty to look at and do during your stay.

Staff was amazing! Since the time we got there until we left... IGOR from the breakfast was over the top, super friendly and made us feel special, he knew all about the local food. Room was amazing!!! 206 is the best in the hotel and we couldn’t be happier with the service. Gabriel from the boat tour was fast on his response and got us a nice trip for the following morning! I don’t have anything to complain... nothing in USA could be compared to the service of this little charming hotel!! Good job all :))

Bad experience - would not stay again

The decor and location of the pousada is great. However there were some problems when we stayed for 2 nights:
- ourbroom was not cleaned despite being out for most of the time (presumably they felt this was not needed as it was a 2 night stay?)
- the staff were not able to stop a large group of guests from being loud at a very late hour around the pool area, bearing in mind this is an open air area with paper thin walls. After repeated complaints I had to speak to the group myself with little assistance
- the room was very musky with a mouldy smell

Overall would not stay again and a bad experience unfortunately

Sleeping with windows facing AC . Serial liars

We got a room with the two windows facing two huge AC units standing in the courtyard (happy to send pictures). The noise was unbearable, even when closing the windows. it was like sleeping with an old fridge next to your ear. I immediately asked for a different room, telling that I was willing to pay for an upgrade. But they said that the pousada was fully booked (most likely their first lie). They assured me that during the night they would anyway turn off the AC (second lie). The next day I complained again, telling them that the AC units had been active all night long. Their third lie was telling me that they were about to cover the AC units to reduce the noise. They obviously never did that and at that point I gave up. They are just a bunch of liars. Avoid at all cost there are plenty of alternatives.

lovely 2 night stay

Had a lovely stay at the pousada. The staff were very friendly and helpful. we arrived on the Wednesday and struggled to find the hotels parking lot, after a call to the reception a member off staff came out to meet as at the car and help take our luggage to the hotel and parked the car for us. The pousada is in the historic centre of Paraty, which is nice to wander around in the evening. On the Thursday the staff guided us to one of the nucer local beaches which was near by, really enjoyed the break.

All in all, this was an expensive hotel that was quite overpriced. If you look around you can find some others that are a little further away from the central location for a fraction of the price with comparable amenities and similar breakfasts.

The part that really ticked me off: upon checking out they handed me an additional bill for 150 R (after I made the reservation on Expedia). I didn't understand what it was for at first and the hotel attendant explained that this was the \"service fee\" for the hotel. The staff member again handed me the bill. I got the help of a Brazilian who then spoke to her and.... as it turns out... this was bill was actually \"optional\" AKA a Grigo ripoff trap. I found this to be kind of insulting and vowed to write a negative review and not come back. I hate this kind of stuff.

This is a beautifully maintained historic property in the heart of old Paraty. It's in convenient walking distance of most that would be of interest to a visitor, especially including a number of good restaurants. The bright colors of the hotel make it a great place to wake up. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with lots of fresh fruit, breads, eggs made-to-order, and interesting food options. Wi-fi worked pretty well. Service from staff was excellent, and enough English was spoken that this non-Portuguese speaker had no trouble communicating essential things.

The only difficulty was finding the designated parking area when I arrived after dark. It's off of an alley several blocks from the hotel - a necessary setup because the hotel is in a pedestrian-only zone, but a little challenging when you first arrive in an unfamiliar city. You have to turn left at the post office, but I only found the post office by asking people I saw standing near where it was supposed to be - it's not well-marked, at least when closed.

All in all, though, my stay here was excellent, and I wish it could have been longer.

Charming Hotel

Beautiful hotel in the centre of Paraty, full of character and charm. Hotel staff were very helpful and the facilities were great including an on site restaurant, garden with sunbeds and a jacuzzi. The buffet breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit, cakes, cereals, hams and cheeses and omlettes / eggs available on request. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely pousada in the center of Paraty

Such an adorable pousada! We arrived very late at 3am due to a delayed flight, but they were able to accommodate us. I love the breakfast each morning, amazing fruits, coffee, breads, juices. all wonderful. The whole pousada is colorful and creative, there are notes from Rita Hayworth on the walls. Old town Paraty is so beautiful with cobblestones, and painted doorways. This pousada is the prettiest one.

charming hotel in the heart of the town

lovely hotel in the old town. breaskfast was ok and they provided a take away one when we had a leave early. rooms were small and bassic but comfortable. cant compare with other places as ojnly saw ours but i expect at the better end of the scale. location was so good as by all the good resatuarants. hotel satff very helpful - all in all very happy - not too muhc to do if winter and raining but otherwise cute town - oh bring you own tea bags if you like breakfast tea - very hard to get a decent cupper anywhere other than tea in the bookstorte donw the road ;-)

Not as good as some reviews imply.

The location is pretty food but we found the room to be cramped and quite loud. The walls are paper thin. The desk staff is neither helpful nor rude. They just don't seem to care either way. Breakfast was pretty good. You could get eggs made to order and selections were plentiful. There was a safe in the room but it was only large enough to put passports in. Wifi is horrible in the rooms so be prepared to stand in the hall or go down to the lobby if you want to connect. Not worth the price.

My husband and I loved our stay at Pousada do Sandi. The property is beautifully decorated and the wonderful 300 year old architecture is something to behold. Our room was well appointed and very well maintained with a modern bathroom. The staff was extremely helpful for all of our needs. The included breakfast offered everything you could imagine - fresh fruits and juices, eggs, cheese, meats, cereals and many delicious pastries. We were there for 5 days and each day there were a couple of unique items. The grounds were lovely and the restaurant was top notch. I can't say enough good things about our experience at this charming old pousada.

Beautiful setting. Great pool area. The staff is excellent as well. The bathroom however was a disgrace for the US$* we paid per night. Someof the bath towels had holes in them. Paraty is such a wonderful charming place. We enjoyed it so much that it was hard to leave. There are better and more resonably priced pousadas in the historical town center.

Me and my family had the most wonderful stay at Sandi Hotel in Paraty.

The hotel is full of charm, beautifully decorated, and perfectly located in the heart of the historic center of Paraty. Our suite was was spacious and the hotel itself was stunning, full of charm, history, and character. It felt less like a hotel and more like a special retreat.

The staff were not only professional but genuinely kind, always ready with a smile and eager to help with anything I needed.

Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh fruits, delicious cakes, and local specialties that made every morning feel special.

The pool area was another favorite spot of ours, perfect for relaxing, drinking great cocktails from the bar and eating easy, tasty food.

If you’re looking for the perfect pousada in Paraty, with everything you could wish for, and more, Sandi Hotel is the place. We left with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return.

O hotel é fenomenal, muito bem localizado, com acesso relativamente fácil — embora o piso irregular de Paraty possa dificultar um pouco a passagem de carros baixos.

O pessoal é extremamente profissional e simpático. Fomos muito bem acolhidos, mesmo quando cometi um erro na reserva e o hotel inicialmente não a encontrava. Fizeram-nos um upgrade, e mais tarde descobriram que afinal o erro tinha sido meu. Decidimos ficar mais uma noite e, embora tenhamos precisado trocar de quarto devido ao upgrade não corresponder à reserva original, não foi problema.

Graças à equipa turística do hotel, fizemos um tour de barco pelas 5 ilhas, organizado previamente por WhatsApp. O passeio foi simplesmente incrível, cheio de memórias inesquecíveis.

Também aproveitámos para fazer duas massagens no hotel, que foram excelentes e ajudaram a aliviar todas as contraturas depois do tour pelas ilhas.

Equipa fantástica, ambiente acolhedor. Recomendo muito este hotel!

Cheguei à pousada com minha esposa e meus dois filhos. Deixei o carro no estacionamento, sem comunicação direta com a pousadas e tive que levar todas as minhas malas, na chuva à pé. Ao entrar no Chalé 105, o mesmo se encontrava cheio de água e com travesseiros molhados devido a vazamentos no telhado e na janela. Não houve a devida manutenção e ficamos no mesmo quarto. Esperava mais devido a fama e preço.

O hotel é o melhor de Paraty. Tudo de qualidade! Os funcionários são muito gentis. O quarto é maravilhoso. A iluminação deixa tudo muito aconchegante. Lençóis de qualidade. Tudo excelente! Fica na rua das pedras, bem no centro de Paraty. Dá pra fazer tudo a pé!

Razoável, mas certamente poderia ser melhor.

Hotel com valor elevado para a qualidade geral. O atendimento, com exceção dos jovens do café da manhã, dos funcionários não é tão primoroso, sobretudo com a perceptível diferença nos atendimentos destinados entre nacionais e estrangeiros. Acredito que o hotel necessite de muitos outros reparos, e fico sentido por não estar conseguindo juntar as fotos que registrei.

O hotel é muito bem localizado, além da vantagem de ter um estacionamento privado próximo. O quarto era espaçoso e confortável, apenas senti falta de disponibilizarem bucha para banho e toca de banho. O café-da-manhã era delicioso, assim como os drinks do bar do hotel.
Queria deixar um elogio a todos os funcionários que nos atenderam tão bem, em especial ao rapaz novinho que servia na área da piscina. Além de extremamente educado, mostrava sempre preocupação em atender bem a todos!

Quarto ok, cama confortável. Café da manha bem fraco, 30 minutos para vir um ovo que era feito na cozinha. São super confusos para passar o endereço do estacionameto. Ficamos sem agua quente por uma noite interia e tivemos que tomar banho gelado.

Pontos fortes: Quarto grande e confortável, ótimas roupas de cama, toalhas e ducha. Café da manhã completo e de qualidade.

Pontos fracos: Serviço confuso e lento. Em uma das noites tivemos barulho de hóspedes no terraço até meia noite. Areas próximas a piscina estavam em reforma, então haviam vários prestadores de serviço no local.

Excelente localização e conforto, gostamos muito. Apenas falta estrutura para quem viaja com bebês, ficamos em um quarto super confortável mas não tinha berço nem copa disponíveis no hotel.

Conforto e história em Paraty

Nossa estadia na Pousada do Sandi foi maravilhosa. Conforto e historia caminham juntos. Fomos surpreendidos durante uma caminhada no jardim por peças de artes delicadamente posicionadas.
O café da manhã tem bolos e tortas feitos na casa. Muito gostoso. E a cereja do bolo foi que estávamos à beira da piscina, à tarde, quando fomos gentilmente convidados para um café com bolo acabado de sair do forno.
