Old Colonial Building with lots of charm
Great historical hotel in the centre of old Paraty. It's a delightful old building with period furniture and lots of charm. Staff very friendly. Breakfast included. The nearest parking or access by car/ taxi is a block away and dragging a suitcase across the large cobblestones is not easy. The bathroom is not modern and the Aircon and TV have not been updated for years but I'd rather stay here than in a bland chain hotel.

This is a great pousada/hotel. The place is very central and close to really good shops, bars and restaurants. You are basically in the heart of everything. Except at night, it is very quiet. I mean really quiet [Saturday night the whole town is subjected to club noise from the local youth hostel...so bring your earplugs..but except for this...tranquilo!]. The building is the place everyone wants to be photographed in front of and inside it is beautifully and respectfully decorated. This place is a piece of history. Even though the 'Classic Suite' has some issues [bathroom/noisy air conditioning] you will be glad you stayed in this amazing room. It is like stepping back in time. They offer a standard breakfast and you have lovely, quiet, chilled out staff around to help you out. This place is worth the money and worth staying at. Enjoy!

It's a real experience to bit in a old colonial house in the centre of Paraty. It has that magic feel of transporting you back to a distant past.
The main drawback is the bathroom: very small, not very comfortable and functional, not easy to get hot water, loo blocks easily...
Breakfast is nothing special. The owners/managers are very friendly and helpful.
As with any place in central Paraty, not recommended if you have heavy suitcases (you cannot roll them on the stone pavements)

I stayed two nights. The staff was very friendly and kind. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and cheerful. I liked the breakfast and historical interior decorating of the common spaces. No cars are allowed in the historical center so you will have to carry your luggage about 2 short blocks.

A pousada necessita passar por uma atualizacao de limpeza e de acomodacoes. Esta muito decadente e muito mal cuidada. Travesseiros muito duros e desconfortaveis, muita poeira. O que salvou foram os funcionarios muito prestativos e solicitos, Aline e Andre. Mas, infelizmente, nao tem como voltar.

Bem no meio do Centro Histórico
O hotel é uma raridade, localizado em um prédio antigo (com mais de 200 anos) e bem no meio do Centro Histórico de Paraty. Dá para fazer tudo a pé a partir dali. Os funcionários são o ponto forte do lugar, educadíssimos, sempre dispostos e de uma presteza incrível. Para quem está com muita bagagem fica o alerta de que não passa carro na frente do hotel (por ser área de preservação) e as ruas (por serem antigas) são horríveis de transitividade. Como é um prédio antigo, os móveis também são antigos. Vale a pena pela experiência e por tudo o que foi proporcionado para a gente. Retornaremos, com certeza.

At first, the poussada is under renovation. All what is advertised on hotel.com is not right. The garden is under work, no access to pool. The kitchen is under work, no breakfast. The room os a disaster. No window that closes, no AC / Heating that works.On top, when we checked in, we could not stay at the hotel, and they relocated us into a lower standard poussada that was so bad. This hotel must be avoided and shall be removed from the platforms. I will file a claim as this is fully unacceptable. Do not go there

Wonderful stay at this Pousada. Very centrally located in Old Paraty; charming rooms (very true to the style of Old Paraty, so set your expectations accordingly - do not expect luxury but ambiance); kind and helpful staff who were also helpful in assisting me in sorting out an issue with Hotels.com and in changing my booking when that was needed.

Great ambiance and location in the old city in Paraty. Very friendly and helpful staff. A variet of types of rooms. Faces quiet street very close to the streets with restaurants, so none of that noice. Only minor point is that the breakfast serving is quite a small meal, especially if you do not eat bread. But plenty of cafe options around to stock up.

A localização é excelente. Bem no centro histórico, mas numa parte mais tranquila e silenciosa, de pouca passagem. Os proprietários e funcionários são todos muito gentis, e percebe-se um grande cuidado com relação a práticas impostas pela pandemia. Café da manhã muito bom. Nao ha estacionamento por estar dentro da area de proibido circulaçao de carros mas ha proximo do hotel locais para deixar gratuitamente na rua ou um estacionamento na av principal bem perto ao custo de R$ 25,00 o dia. Recomendo sem duvida a pousada, um charme de pousada...

Der Nachteil ist, dass es weder im Zimmer noch an der Rezeption einen Safe gibt, was ungewöhnlich ist und mittlerweile zur Standardausstattung eines Hotels/einer Pension zählt. Auf meine Frage, warum es keinen Safe gäbe und wer die Verantwortung dafür übernimmt, wenn etwas abhanden kommt, wurde der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption, Rafael, recht unfreundlich, bezeichnete mich als \"Gringo\" (abfällige Bezeichnung für Europäer bzw. Amerikaner) und warf mir vor, ich würde ihm Diebstahl unterstellen. Der Besitzer, Eduardo, war freundlicher, entschuldigte sich für das Fehlverhalten seines Mitarbeiters und erklärte mir, warum es angeblich nicht möglich sei, in die Zimmer Safes einzubauen. Wie dem auch sei... Ich bin 2 Tage lang mit meinen Wertsachen durch die Gegend gelaufen, was nicht sehr komfortabel war.

Tolle Pousada mit guter Atmosphäre in der historischen Altstadt von Paraty. Positiv fand ich die zentrale Lage, das gepflegte Haus sowie das gute Frühstück. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr herzlich, freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Leider ist das Haus aufgrund der alten Bausubstanz und der knarrenden Holzböden aber eher laut. Ich hätte mir außerdem auch eine bessere Abschirmung gegen Mücken gewünscht. Insgesamt wie gesagt aber gut.

Os funcionários são gentis e solícitos mas falta treinamento a eles. A pousada parecia a casa deles, a sala de estar tinha tv e sempre algum deles a estava assistindo, eles reuniam os amigos e ficavam conversando animadamente embaixo da sua janela. A limpeza do banheiro deixou muito a desejar, o box estava com placas limo e havia manchas de sujeira nos azulejos. Em uma das noites a minha cama estava cheia de \"asinhas\" de insetos, acho que era cupim, não havia telas nas janelas nem inseticida elétrico. A TV do quarto só pegava um canal. A piscina é bem pequena e fica embaixo das árvores....

Bem localizado e pouco confortável.
O hotel é bem localizado pois está no centro histórico de Paraty. O quarto que ficamos estava muito mofado, passamos a noite espirrando e tossindo. O inconveniente em relação à chegada do hotel é que não há serviço de maleiro. Se você chegar com mala pesada, terá dificuldade em transportá-la até o hotel devido a irregularidade da rua feita de pedras em diferentes níveis. O café-da-manhã é simples.

内装はクラシックで雰囲気ありました。対応も親切でアットホームな感じでした。６名で行きましたが設備で、お湯が出ない、部屋の電気が切れている等の部屋もありました。不具合を伝えたのですが、直らず結局別の人の部屋でシャワーを浴びる等のなりました。朝食も8時～とゆっくりです。
