Overnight stopover

Lovely hosts and excellent breakfast. Hotel location is a little isolated and the facilities do need some investment. Unfortunately for us people in next room brought their two dogs which either barked or whimpered all the time!! Not the hosts fault except, do you really want your hotel to be pet friendly if your rooms are not sound proofed? The people with the dogs were happy.... We weren't!

Lovely quite location run by michalis and his wife so welcomeing . We had a garden room terrace straigth on to the pool room beautiful and clean . Stavros and back of house team amazing. Food was amazing and value for price short walk to small harbour with supermarket a couple lovely restuarants over look harbour and bus stop at top of road to thira 2.50 euros per person each way .We plan to return soon.

It’s a great idea to stay at Villa Michis. You can reach the hotel by bus from Fira, and it's just a short walk to the beach or port for boats and yachts. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and quiet. There's also a swimming pool available. I highly recommend choosing this wonderful villa for your holiday.

Michalis is a first-rate host. If you come to Santorini and don’t stay here you will be missing out on something amazing. The incredible breakfast, the pool, the close proximity to the beach, the spectacular landscaping of the hotel is not to be missed. This place will be among the highlights of your trip.

It was great. The owners were there and was very friendly and accommodating. They made sure the guests are well-taken care of and the staff are so helpful and informative. The place has a pool which is nice and situated in front of the restaurant which is very convenient. My room is clean and well supplied for my stay. I would love to go back there and would tell my friends about this hotel.

Best part of this hotel was the pool. Is huge and very nice. Located a few min walk from the marina. Couple of restaurants close as well as black sand beaches. We choose this location since it was close to our scuba divers. Staff were very friendly.

Loved our stay at Villa Michalis! The staff there was so amazingly friendly and made you feel right at home. They will help you make arrangements for rentals and activities- just ask (super helpful)! The rooms aren’t spacious by American standards but they are clean and very lovely with a beautiful view. The pool was great and the beach is a short walk. This is a much quieter spot and less “touristy” than other areas we visited. Rent a vehicle or ATV though as there really isn’t too much around it.

Villa Michalis staff are the friendliest people and I absolutely loved them all. So helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Was nice to have a big pool outside the rooms. Breakfast was so cheap for the amount and quality of food you get. Great service, nice rooms, I will definitely return to them in future. I don't really have much negative to say. If you are looking for a quieter area of Santorini this is the place to be.

The property was located by a fishing village and yacht club that had the most wonderful sunset. Also close walk to tomato museum. Next to Demitri's that has good food and entertainment ...greek music..bouzuki...mama mia experience....breaking dishes etc. Wonderful location and away from tourists.

Very tasty meals in good prices (best tzatziki ever). Good start point to explore Santorini by car or boat. Nothing is too much effort for staff. This was our fist visit to Santorini. Villa Michalis is a small family run pension. The pool and gardens were great, and the rooms though basic were clean comfortable, well decorated and a decent shower. We thought it was very good value for money.

Everything is great when you have hosts like Michalis and wife. Great hospitality and they are always there to help you whatever you need. Great food and breakfast. Vlychada beach is just few mins walking from where the Catamaran (Boat) takes you for a 3-4 hours boat ride. Mr. Michalis helped us book that. We were there just when the summer starts but still enjoyed a lot.
Me and my wife we enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend and would love to visit again. Thanks Expedia.

My stay at Villa Michalis was amazing!! They were so friendly and helpful.
When we got there Michali brought us some juice and helped us rent a car, he marked on a map the places we should go on the island and offered to help with anything we needed.
We had dinner at the restaurant at the hotel and the food was delicious and after dinner, Michali gave us some of his birthday cake.
We felt like we were staying at someone's house.
It was amazing! I would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful Hotel yards from fabulous working harbou

I can not say enough about Villa Michalis, from the moment we arrived to the day we had to return home. We arrived after 9pm and we're greeted warmly by Michalis and his wife Moroulya and given a welcome drink. They were so lovely throughout our stay, each day checking we knew where we were heading for that day, Moroulya has to be the best cook on the island of Santorini we chose to eat with them every day bar one, the food was incredible. Then was was young Michalis their nephew who looked after anything and everything from booking trips to renting a car. He was so lovely, kind and genuine and a good laugh. I could go on and on but you must check this gem out for yourselves.

Charming hotel with sweet staff

My friend and I stayed at Villa Michaelis last weekend, and although it was off-season for Santorini, we had a wonderful time! Everyone we met at the hotel was so sweet, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was adorable and perfect for the two of us. It is a little far away from the center of the island, though, so prepare to take a cab.

The owners were so nice and helpful. They prepared a breakfast and had it ready for use each morning. It was a huge spread that we could never finish! Very delicious. The stay was great and the view was fantastic. Its a little far from the main town but there are things to see around. You definitely need a car.

Homely villa with very decent facilities

Mr Michalis and his family took good care of us during our stay here.
Given the price the villa is excellent. Recommended if you want a basic hotel to stay in Santorini. If you like to spend more than you should take a villa in the top or slopes of the island at Fira town with an ocean view.

Simply the very best!

This is the hotel you should stay in. Michalis is the definition of service mindedness. He and the staff walks the extra mile and then some more to make guest experience special. From the minute we arrived till the taxi rolled away Michalis and the staff was there. Always observant- always hospitable and friendly. Saying welcome with a glass of wine and an introduction to the island when we arrived 1130 pm and seeing us of with a smile, a hug, and an everlasting and special memory. Thank you everyone at Villa Michalis!

Reasonably quiet, not a bad value for money

The hotel is a bit out of the way, you'd definitely need a car to get around. However, beaches are 5-10 min drive. The room was very clean, the matress was reasonalbe, but the pillows like rocks. I was given another one when I aksed, but it was just the same style.
The staff is friendly, the breakfast rather ordinary, variety wouldn't go astray. But overall it was not a bad value for money.

Great hospitality! We were welcomed by the Michalis himself. The location was right by the harbour which was perfect because we were sailing the next day - not sure this would be great for being close to the villages. The hotel itself looks/felt like a resort and our stay included breakfast. Good value find.

Just stayed for one night with my wife. The hotel was nice but hard to find. Fortunately we rented a car otherwise it was impossible to get in and out from there. Far from the main locations like Fira and Oia. For beach lovers, it is a good place to stay..

I satyed 3 nights at Villa Michalis. It a nice place and the staff are very nice. Because I went in low seasion I was the only one at the hotel so it was hard to get services but I am sure in normal time it must be better because staff is very freindly and welcoming. They have a big hall with a restaurant that opens on mondays (on winter, summmer is probably different). The food is good, grilled octopus is amazing but I think it was quite over priced.
The hotel location is good to me, it is far from the center (Fira). You need to have a car to go to this hotel beacause there isn't much to do at walk distance but it is close to a beatiful place to see the sunset and there are many beautiful places around.

Amazing value break

Villa Michalis is a friendly family run hotel. At the end of October it was showing signs of a season's wear and tear, but workmen were already in getting the place sorted out. The rooms are basic, but pleasant enough. The hotel is a little remote, but with a hire car its not a problem. That said food in the hotel is cheap and pretty decent and there are two good tavernas within a short walk. The beach is very nice. The hotel's pool is also very nice. Overall it offers great value for money. We've paid more to camp per night in the UK. When we stayed everyone else was French - can't have everything!

Lovely Hotel in remote Vlychada

Location - If you want to venture out further in Santorini, you really need to have your own transport (ATV, Car or Scooter) because it overlooks the remote Vlychada Harbour. As I am not a beach person, I found this Hotel almost perfect for Harbour watching, but nearby inferior Porto Villas Pension may be better suited for that.
It's a shame that, the Hotel was available only for one day. Wished we could have stayed more to enjoy the nice room,pool,breakfast and the fantastic cooking (imam) by Meroula.

From the moment Michael and his wife greeted my family as we got out of our taxi to the moment he insisted on driving us to the harbor after checkout we had a fantastic stay. Beautiful pool, fantastic food, cool, clean and comfortable room we could not have had a nicer experience. Highly recommended.

The hotel is a bit far from some of the island’s attractions; however, others are nearby. It’s a good area for families, and renting a car is easy-costing around 30-40 euros per day-making it convenient to explore the entire Santorini area. A buffet breakfast would be a great addition.

It is a nice and quiet little hotel with very friendly owners. Nothing fancy but very cosy. The breakfast ist huge with cheese, ham, eggs and jam, honey, yoghurt, cake, croissants, bread and orange juice, coffee and tea. Very friendly people. We liked that it is close to the harbor. To get around you need a car or an ATV (30€ per day in midseason).

Michalis et Meroula sont des hôtes très gentils et accueillants. Michalis nous a expliqué tous les sites intéressants à voir à Santorin. La chambre était propre et bien équipée, la piscine à disposition, le petit déjeuner copieux, restaurant sur place. Le cadre est calme et reposant. Un petit port avec d'autres tavernes juste à côté. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable, merci !

une très belle découverte ! cet hôtel est typique de la Grèce authentique : de jolies couleurs, pas trop de chambres, une terrasse ombragée pour prendre les repas devant la piscine, un personnel aux petits soins. J'y ai passé 5 jours et c'était formidable, bien plus que ces hôtels de luxe que l'on trouve partout sur l'ile.

Nous avons eu une chambre à l'étage avec vue sur la mer et une terrasse très ensoleillée. La chambre est joliment décorée avec des couleurs vives et les draps sont très doux. La piscine est d'une bonne longueur ,profonde de 0.66 à 2.50m .Bon petit déjeuner avec du délicieux pain de couleur marron . Personnel serviable

Tout ici est extra :gentillesse, accueil, prix tres raisonnable, piscine immense la plus grande qu on ait jamais vu sur Santorini
Le restaurant extra, petit dej royal, calme, et j en oublie.
Deco charmante.
Certes il faut 1 voiture mais qui n en loue pas sur l'ile et l animation de Perissa avec tous les bars est sympa.
Une de nos meilleures adresses dans les Cyclades Ouest.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich in Empfang genommen. Man fühlt sich wie in einer grossen Familie. Die Mitarbeiter helfen einem bei jedem möglichen Anliegen.
Das kleine Hotel ist wunderschön, jedes Zimmer ist individuell eingerichtet.
Wir waren überrascht über das reichhaltige, leckere Frühstück. Ausserdem ist in dem Hotel auch ein Restaurant integriert, wo man traditionelle griechische Speisen essen kann, gekocht von der Grossmama in der Küche.
Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist Wahnsinn.
Eine kleine Wohlfühloase, die ich jedem weiter empfehlen kann.

Un hôtel familial très argréable

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel familial, loin de l'agitation de Fira ou du snobisme d'Oia. L'hôtel est calme, confortable. Toute l'équipe est très très sympathique et cherche à satisfaire toutes vos demandes. Le restaurant a un excellent rapport qualité/prix notamment pour le poisson du jour (11€).
Nous y retournerons avec plaisir.

Très déçue par cet établissement. A notre arrivée les propriétaires nous ont annoncé qu’ils avaient loué notre chambre à d’autres personnes et que donc on était relié dans un autre hôtel beaucoup moins bien.
Les propriétaires ont essayé de nous graisser la pâte en nous disant que c’etait la même choses etc. De plus pendant notre séjour nous ne nous sommes pas sentis en confiance. Je ne conseille vraiment pas cet établissement, d’autres hotels sont beaucoup mieux à santorin.

Accueil fantastique de Michalis et sa femme, on se sent bien chez eux, en se sentant (presque) chez soi ! Dommage que l'entretien et la ropreté ne soient pas au top et que la salle de bain soit vraiment limite limite... L'emplacement n'est pas idéal non plus et demandera d'office la location d'une voiture

Località un po' lontana da Thira e Oia. La depandance in cui abbiamo alloggiato in 4 aveva 5 letti e in stanza lo spazio era molto ridotto. Sinceramente speravo che spontaneamente togliessero il quinto letto ma non mi sono permesso di chiederlo.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cet établissement, le patron et son équipe sont aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuner est copieux, varié et servi avec beaucoup de gentillesse. La piscine est fort agréable. Les chambres sont assez petites mais nous ne sommes pas venus à Santorin
pour rester dans la chambre. La salle de bain est également exiguë. L’hôtel est éloigné des divers centres d’intérêt de l’Île, une voiture est indispensable pour pouvoir ce déplacer, il y a bien un arrêt de bus à la sortie de l’hôtel mais cette ligne est très peu desservie
, de plus la régularité des bus locaux laisse à désirer

Posizione tranquilla. Meglio avere un mezzo per muoversi. Ottima accoglienza dei proprietari che sono sempre disponibili e presenti. Possibilità presso la struttura di prenotare tutti i sevizi accessori (noleggio auto, escursioni in barca etc). Grazie a Lola, cameriera colazioni, per la sua gentilezza. Colazione abbondante. Camera pulita con cambio frequentissimo biancheria. Camera un po’ piccola per 4 persone. Ottimo e gradito il servizio dei teli mare messi a disposizione (consiglio di pubblicizzarlo in quanto sarebbe comodo non portarli). Piscina piacevole ed aree comuni pulite. Ristorante nella media, ma con gentilezza dei camerieri.

Hotel très accueillant et familial

Très bon hôtel avec tous les services et équipements que l'on peut attendre : belle piscine, chambre confortable et bien équipée (écran plat,climatisation, terrasse avec mobilier, frigo avec verres et bouteille de vin blanc, sèche cheveux et serviettes de bain pour la piscine un plus pour ceux qui voyagent uniquement avec une valise cabine). Le petit déjeuner est copieux, servi au bord de la piscine. Le personnel est extra. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 4 jours.

La estancia ha sido muy placentera y agradable. El hotel está muy limpio. El personal es muy amable. El desayuno muy rico. Cuando regresemos volveremos a alojarnos en el mismo lugar sin ninguna duda. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

Ottimo soggiorno

Piccolo hotel a conduzione familiare vicino un porticciolo con annessa piccola spiaggia lontano dalla confusione di Santorini. Hotel pulitissimo, con un ottimo ristorante e belle camere dotate di balcone. I proprietari ed il personale tutto sono estremamente gentili e disponibili ad esaudire ogni richiesta del cliente.
