Very clean room. Superior room was well laid out but the only window faced a wall!! No natural light in the room, so it felt like you were in a basement. Noise carried from every room around us. I could even hear the guy snoring next door! The hotel room doors were very heavy closing.

As soon as I arrived the hotel, a young guy at the front was very kind. He did upgrade the room for me to the bigger and ocean view room. I already feel comfortable. The buffet breakfast was incredible! I stayed for 5 nights. Almost all menus are different daily. I could enjoy genuine Vietnamese food variety. They take care of the guest's stomach. Very good! The floor staff, Stella is so kind and helpful. I have nothing to complain about this hotel. when you have an opportunity to come to Da Nang, I highly recommend this hotel. I felt much more satisfaction than I paid.

Nice hotel - lovely staff, comfy room, good breakfasts and rooftop pool. But, we were disappointed because some of the description is not accurate. It doesn’t have direct access to the beach (it’s a block or so back along a busy road), it doesn’t have rooftop gardens and it isn’t in a nature reserve.

We booked a room well in advance thinking what kind it would be when we arrived they tried to put us in a room with a window looking into another building that could have worked had we were for one night but we were booked for 2 weeks. We had to pay 💰 a lot to get a better room. The staff was not able to communicate in English and were definitely not trained. The breakfast was terrible mostly cold every day and always tuff meat

We had an absolutely amazing time at Sunny Ocean Hotel. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great decor and very comfortable beds. The staff were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a huge variety of options. It is within walking distance of all popular landmarks, making it a perfect location. We will definitely come back. Gusmi and Susie from the front desk was very helpful and accomodating.

Great place to stay in Da Nang, I highly recommend Sunny Ocean Hotel. The hotel is close to the beach and other touristic attractions. For the price, it was very well worth it too. The place was easy to find and offered many services, including great breakfast, clean, comfy rooms, spa, pool, cleaning and airport pickup.

I have travelled to 35 countries now and i cant think of a nicer hotel than Sunny Ocean. Great staff, the buffet breakfast was absolutely awesome, room was incredible, spacious and clean and very comfortable. Mere walking distance to My Khe Beach, close to airport and dozens of great little restaurants within walking distance. We had such an awesome stay, thank you Sunny Ocean.

This property was a disappointment. The gym is not a gym, the pool area only has a few chairs and isn't that inviting of a space. Our room had a musty smell and the windows didnt block much street noise. Construction going on next door woke us two out of 4 nights ( not the properties fault except poor sound insulation. Also a karaoke place next door so can get loud at night.

The facilities need some improvements like the thin walls we can hear people talking in their normal voice, the worst was our last night the room next to us is fighting and we can hear all the screaming and banging from 2am to 4am needless to say we did not sleep. No security present in the hotel.

We had a massage and the facilities for spa is needing improvement bigtime. It did not give us the zen vibe and relaxation we needed. The massage was ok.

She even organised a lift for me upon request. In the restaurant, the staff member Stella, was very professional and provided exceptional customer service, always having a smile on her face. Maybe it was just because i was on the inside room but the rooms are not sound proof at all, the window i had was to a corridor and you could hear someone talking out there many times.

Early in the morning there was a lot of banging in the hotel, maybe construction??

You can hear every little noise coming from the hallway/elevators/neighbors.

I only had to stay one night but i couldn’t imagine staying more than that.

Also the shower drain didn’t drain while the shower was on, i had to take a quick one to keep the room from flooding!

And the ac only turns on if the room key is in and you cannot adjust the temperature.

Overall not a pleasant stay.

Susie and Henry at the front desk provided excellent customer service. Upon checking in, Susie loaned us an umbrella as we were unprepared, recommended the better food options in the area, accommodating with our large group. During the stay I was having trouble finding some distilled water for the CPAp machine and asked Susie if she could call a medical supply store to check if any was in stock before heading out. When they confirmed they had some she even offered to pick it for me the next day. Checkout was easy and the staff were helpful in checking the weight of the bags and storing the items until our departure. Each day of our stay, we stopped by the free breakfast buffet. It ends at 10am but the staff (Ruby, Stella, and Mateo) were all so kind when I showed up close to closing to grab a quick meal. Never did they rush me or made me feel unwelcome. They even have an omelette station that Ruby and Mateo were often manning and the eggs were delicious. The cleaning staff were really helpful as I always had the “do not disturb” sign up. They would grab trash or towels we left outside and even left replacement items for us. Overall a great experience in a great location.

I did not stay in a beach view room, which was by choice. I flew in for one day and that disnt matter to me. This hotel is one block off the main drag, which I see as a p big plus. You dont have the noise from the crowds, which I prefer. There are rooms with ocean views if that is important. The walk to the beach is literally 2 minutes. There a bunch of good restaurants and shops surrounding that area. Danang is an awesome beach town. More modern than other cities in Vietnam, and not nearly as noisy with all the honking scooters. I would absolutley stay at this hotel again. I am not a spa guy, so I didnt rate that, or cant speak to it. Staff is awesome.

The hotel is very close to the beach so that is a great advantage for it. The pool is not in the best conditions but it’s not that bad. It certainly does not look like the pictures. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was nice and the staff as well. Overall was a nice atmosphere just don’t expect it to look like the pictures as it is a little run down.

We stayed at Sunny Ocean Hotel & Spa in a connecting room with our 3 kids and had a really lovely experience. The cleaning staff were excellent – our rooms were always spotless and well taken care of. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Mateo, who stood out with his kindness and made the best omelettes – a real highlight of our mornings!

The location is also fantastic – just a 4-minute walk to the beach, with lots of shops, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby, making it very convenient for families.

The only small downside was the lack of a cozy lounge area with comfortable chairs and coffee, which would have been nice for relaxing in the evenings.

Overall, a great spot for families, and we would definitely recommend it!

The reason I chose this hotel is because the description on Expedia VERY FALSELY claims that it is located within a “nature preserve”. This is a poor and inaccurate translation and totally untrue. The room is also not “soundproof”. It is in a loud city area with street noise audible on the 10th floor at all hours of the day. The hotel staff was the least hospitable of any place we stayed in Vietnam. The bathroom light fixture was filthy with dust and there was tape left behind on surfaces around the room (from a previous guests decorations?). We upgraded to a room with a bathtub, but the water was only cold or barely warm and unable to reach a temperature suitable to take a bath. There was a water pressure (or worse) issue with the toilet, but it was able to flush with concerning effort most of the time. The staff at this hotel never once asked how our stay was until we were checking out. Desk staff never made eye contact or checked in when we were in the lobby coming and going. No help with the bags. Unlike other hotels with staff that ask “may we clean the room now?” this staff asked “you don’t need the room cleaned, right?” and that captures the vibe here well. The high room price is for the location and the view. The beds are comfortable compared to most in Vietnam, but when we we asked for extra pillows, we were told only one additional pillow could be spared. The breakfast buffet is okay but not noteworthy; same with the pool. The sky bar was not staffed at all.

The hotel is very close to the sea front/beach and lots of food outlets and shops. This does however mean that it is very busy and noisy until late.
The rooms are extremely hot, when we arrived the room had not been cooled or curtains drawn which was very unpleasant considering the outside temperature was about 34 degrees.
The staff are friendly and helpful!
The hotel offers a car service for trips to local landmarks etc like Hoi an. However, beware the driver will try to upsell you trips to the coconut boats and/or \"his sister's tailor shop\" and then charge you for it which we did not like.
Breakfast was varied every day and had a good selection.
The pool area was a little disappointing compared to the online photos and the sky bar has no air conditioning.
The gym is entirely pointless i.e. there are no weights on the weight machine so you're left with a treadmill but with no Aircon it's very difficult to use.
Overall this hotel is pretty average.
