All staff lovely esp Maxine and Rayden. Couldn't be more helpful. Booked an ocean view room but we were on the ground floor so couldn't see much of the ocean but our main bug bear was people sitting right outside our room patio talking loudly and smoking from early morning to late evening. Really spoilt things for us...

It would take a lot to get us to return back to the hotel.

Highlights:
- location
- private beach/ bar service at beach
- lovely check-in service. Stopped there.

Lowlights:
- majority of staff were rude. Evident change in staff's friendliness when Mr Odle, the owner, appeared at the hotel.
- food variety was unhealthy and lacking. Hotdogs and fried chicken were offered on New Year's Day lunch and the 'snack bar menu' wasn't available because 'the chef said so'.
- must book your time slot in for lunch and dinner which felt restrictive
- forced to eat off plastic plates and use disposable cutlery on New Year's Eve because they needed the plates for the dinner later on in the evening
- 'spa' services not accessible. We had to WhatsApp the spa ourselves for them to only reply after we checked out days later. Missed opportunity for the hotel.

Feels terribly budget despite the rooms being well kept. Wouldn't recommend unless you like a limited menu offering beige food, rude staff and want to get drunk by the beach with cheap alcohol.

Booked for a Pool View Room, was offered a Room facing a wall and trees (see first picture), had to complain, call hotels.com, and wait for 2h to get a proper Pool View Room (second picture)

Same issue next day at the restaurant, was proposed a terrible table by the road, furthest possible from the beach, asked for a beach table as there were 3 available, had to insist 3 times as the staff were complaining these tables were not ready, in the end took them 2mins to get them ready…

First the good...Food and drinks excellent. Beach is beautiful and convenient. The waiters on beach are great and i like the flag system they use for service.

Bad...took me a day and a half to get a beach towel. Not told about activities or even how to get to our room. No map to help navigate the resort, not that it is big but it would have been helpful.

Our room was clean and comfortable.
All in all good stay.

Staff was friendly but inconsistent. The front desk staff (Noel) that greeted us failed to mention all the activities that were provided on the resort resulting in me and my mom missing out on several activities bored to death all day in the resort. The food too was not consistently good. Food was mid at best. We went around the corner many nights for Chinese Food. Beware of the singing frogs at night, if you are one who us usually bothered by noise, you will be annoyed.
I would recommend this resort if you are 60 years and old and just want to relax. It is NOT a turn up, music blasting, twerking resort. If you want peace and quiet, mediocre food, outdated rooms (plumbing sucks), and far from everything, then this resort is perfect for you. I may go back in 20-30 years.

A perfect place to relax, unfortunately there is building work taking place next door which is out of the hotel’s control. We had four nights there and that was just right, anything longer for us would have been too long.

All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with the exception of the water sports team who appeared to go out of their way to be unhelpful and surly. They acted like they were doing you a favour when most of the time they were not. The captain was the only decision maker and he was hardly ever there.

The Sunday night karaoke at TML One Love just outside the hotel is such good fun. Wear comfy shoes because you’ll probably be standing al night.

Book the free catamaran trip with the hotel, you will see turtles, and the serve rum punch. Have fun.

We did not take advantage of the all inclusive options for lunch and dinner. I recommend going to a different restaurant for dinner. Shower needs to be updated.

If you are looking for a quiet resort this is for you. The guests seem to be 70+. We had an issue with one of the waitstaff being extremely rude but that was rectified quickly by management. There is only one restaurant but they did a fantastic job with the variety of food.

Definitely the best resort in Barbados.

Incredible beach with 2 reefs right next to the shore that you can snorkel in. Highly recommend bringing a snorkel.

Tons of beach chairs and towel service as well.

Restaurant is awesome, it is a-la-carte and has a different menu every night. Food and service is excellent and the restaurant has a clear view of the ocean.

Live Music every night during and after dinner.

Pool is pretty good, bartenders are fun and talented, will bring you drinks on request.

Very nice and clean bedrooms with large patios and good turndown service.

Cara at the front desk is an amazing staff member and all the team are lovely and friendly and the people staying at the hotel all very friendly. As a solo traveller felt very welcomed and they even let me stay a bit longer to check out etc. Ronald provided a great walking tour of holetown and its history and got to drink from a coconut on the road.
There are lots of activities and live music every night. Really great, fun atmosphere. Rayden and Damien both excellent barmen. Free water sports stuff provided. Can’t say anything bad about this hotel 5* for a reason and well worth it

Great resort in a fantastic location. Staff are very friendly and any issues were dealt with expeditiously. Food options were decent. Not great. Service was a bit slow. Great area of the beach to walk or just sit and relax. WiFi not great. Gym not great but there is a good one across the street at a reasonable price. Rooms can have quite a bit of outside noise depending on where you are. Didn’t do any of the activities or take in the entertainment so won’t comment there. Overall a good resort if you are looking for a quiet getaway. I would definitely go back!

Right on the beach, lots of chairs for everyone, pool was sparking clean . Management went out of their way to help me celebrate a birthday!!
The only complaint was the noise from other resorts and clubs.
We would have really enjoyed more fresh fish variety
All in all it was great!! Also, must mention the wonderful bar server who danced and did cartwheels and wore eye popping knee socks. He entertained us daily! Hats off to him!!

Mango Bay was a small intimate All inclusive resort. Most meals were A La Carte, but we were bever hingry and alsi had a pool menu. The staff is impeccable, warm and friendly. Bar service on the beach was nice. Beautiful water at beach, but for 2 days there were red flags, so do be aware of Riptides. Isabelle at the welcoming staff was wonderful. Loved that we can walk to shopping nearby and the fun of One Love Bar nearby. Sunsets were amazing at this resort. If you are looking for an exciting nightlife, this may not be the resort for you. If you want complete relaxation, this is the place. It was extremely clean and staff were so so helpful and eager to please. Having a free Catamaran ride included on Wednesdays was so nice and having watersports included was another plus.

Mango Bay is a beautiful location complete with direct access to the beach - a stones throw from all rooms, pool, restaurant etc. The bay itself is stunning surrounded by amazing hotels, homes, restaurants, shopping - EVERYTHING is on your doorstep. Staff are amazing - service with a smile. Evening entertainment most nights if you want to stay in - but Holetown is directly outside offering a great selection of local vibes, food and fun. We've stayed in other parts of Barbados - but this is our favourite a definite recommend for anyone wanting to get the best of everything Barbados - love it - thank you Mango Bay

Damian who served beach food and drinks is a star - always upbeat and entertaining an asset to the hotel. The restaurant staff were lovely also. Food very good and entertainment most evenings. The staff very very friendly and went above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Not a great range of food on offer and you had to book your lunch and dinnertimes on the morning which doesn't give flexibility. One Negative was we booked this hotel for the Spa. The spa has been out of action since at least June according to an employee. It has not been amended on the websites or expedia. Very disappointed!

Amazing food! New executive chef is doing a great job with the menu rotations. We enjoyed the table service but also the buffets. The mushroom soup was phenomenal! Drink options aregood, the smoothies are delicious. The local beer comes tap or in the bottle and it's a nice lager.
Amazing beach for swimming, snorkeling and walks. Best snorkeling only steps in to the water there are two reefs with lots of fish, a sting ray and sea turtles nearby. Water is clear, no jellyfish when we went and safe.
Hotel provides lots of nice watersport options all included. The hotel is in Holetown which is a nice town with plenty of culture, the first church built in 1600s and can get a tour, and a really nice shopping mall steps from the hotel. There are chattel shops also nearby for gifts, cigars, food, bubble tea, etc. There are a few supermarkets and nice restaurants close by as well. Sunday night the island parties on the streets at OneLove bar which is also steps away from hotel and goes to 2am and is worth going to see.
There are 2 sister hotels on the island and we didn't get a chance to go see them but you can eat and drink there all day and enjoy the beach which one of them is near pebbles beach where the race horses bath in the early morning. Hotel is within 15 to 20 minutes of lots of activities Including Harrison Cave, horseback riding, wildlife reserve to be side by side with wild monkeys.
We really enjoyed ourselves and wish we stayed longer than 6 nights, and we will be back!

Been to Mango bay before, little change in building . However we did find there were a lot more managers hanging around and on times not enough staff working in the restaurant. Definitely have a staffing issue . Some of the staff were delightful and couldn’t do enough. There were some restaurant staff who just pretended to work . The managers also stood by the book at the entrance and were not pro active in helping out. They Run out of wine and water glasses often . Staff mentioned they were working long hours , low pay were understaffed and undervalued . This is such a shame as it is a fabulous location .
On one occasion I inquired from a manager about the difference in room rates as a future reference and was told that she (Isabella ) didn’t keep figures in her head .
Would love to return to Mango bay but some changes need to made . They appear to be missing Pedro ( currently in the Cliff hotel ) This was our 8 th occasion to visit Mango bay so we were able to compare .
In fairness the rooms were absolutely spotless and many staff are working really hard . Hope that the restaurant managers pull together and sort this out . Always would give this hotel a5* in the past with no faults. Please address these issues Managers ,

Check in was easy. Staff were great and they upgraded our room as soon as we checked in. The room was a large suite very clean and had a great view of the resort and the ocean. The food was delicious. I applaud the chef great job. Staff were extremely friendly. The only 2 issues we found at the resort was limited entertainment, the kitchen closed early. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

I liked the general arrangements for guests for the most part. Children and adults are catered to on this property and there is general oversight by staff in all areas. I am very pleased with the efforts made by all staff, particularly in the dining/ bar areas. Excellent.

I am suggesting however that hand rails be placed in the shower stalls and a non-skid fixture be placed on the bottom of the shower to prevent slips and falls by older adults.

We liked the location being right on the beach and ocean. Snorkeling was great and was right in front on Mango Bay.
Food was good and plenty of choices to choose from. All the staff was friendly and did what ever we asked for.

A beautiful hotel with such friendly staff who will go above and beyond to make your stay perfect.
Food was delicious and pool and beach were amazing. Atmosphere was special with entertainment and surroundings. It was our first time on the island and we intend to return to Mango Bay as it was everything we wanted.
When returning we will upgrade to a premium room as the basic rooms were nice and spacious but a little tired and noisy due to the backdrop of the local nightlife.
We also enjoyed the friendliness of other guests. Met loads of lovely people there.

Employee Damian Dottin absolutely made it 5-stars. He went out of his way to provide signature service and attention. Most employees seemed happy and brilliant. The food was very good and the team cooking breakfast in the mornings were very hard-working and exceptionally friendly. Could use better management of the beach chairs that were “reserved” by guests with their “stuff” on them for hours while they were no where to be found. The accessibility of the canoe and raft/water equipment was great! Thanks for a wonderful time!

Hurricane Beryl hit the night of our stay, they took days to clean up the pool for guests who paid lots of money to be there. Beach was off limits as well. They even knew hurricane beryl was coming but they are so greedy to make money that they didn’t notify guests so they could reschedule instead of come there to only be locked up in our rooms with no electricity or internet. Paid for all inclusive experience-did not get an all inclusive experience!

Mango Bay is situated on a gorgeous beach with calm clear water. Snorkeling right off the beach. The resort provides a lovely sail up the coast. Kayaks, SUPs, Hobie cat, snorkel gear, and even water skiing that’s all included. Breakfast and lunch was good but dinners could be improved and were a hit or miss. Several top notch restaurants are within walking distance so we went of the resort for a couple of dinners.
We would definitely return.

Mango Bay has the most beautiful beach on the west coast. There’s nice snorkeling in the area such that many catamaran tours stop off the coast there. The service by the staff is amazing as they will get to know you personally and remember your preferences. The rooms are a large size for two people (we were three and still comfortable). The hotel is in Holetown and just outside the gate are the local restaurants and bars which are lively on weekends. The food is very good. Only area of improvement I can think of is that the bathrooms could be renovated to be more modern.

Great beach front location

Mango Bay is located right on the beach front at Holetown. You can’t find a better location.
The staff are very friendly and food and drink are good in particular the cocktails.
You also have access to some water sports although we only discovered this towards the end of stay. Our room was on the side but very comfortable and on Sundays we just joined the crowd at the One Love bar round the corner and enjoyed the local atmosphere.
There was entertainment on most nights which was a added bonus.

Lovely room on seafront. BUT the Hotel was smelly, (stagnant water right by it) grubby and noisy. Breakfast and lunch were disorganised and the food was unappetising to say the least. Dinner was ok. The beach was potentially nice but dirty sun beds and broken umbrellas failed to enhance it. The saving grace was the prompt service recovery by the nicest manageress involving moving us out to a far superior hotel. Phew. Mango Bay does not match its advertisements and We would never recommend it in its present form.

What a great place to go and unwind. The staff are the friendliness I have ever encountered and the restaurant served some great dishes and there was always a good variety of food options. The beach area is beautiful, peaceful and there were plenty of options to take part in water sports offered by local vendors.

I found this hotel and location perfect in so many ways. The food was exceptional, especially Sunday lunch, the evening entertainment (singers) were top notch. The staff friendly and very helpful. Clubs and pubs literally your the door step which could be annoying for some, but I found convenient. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

Thoroughly Enjoyable

The resort was a delight from check-in to check-out. The staff was smiling and accommodating at all times. They made reservations for tours and other restaurants with ease. Our room was very clean and pleasantly appointed. Their water sports department was patient and knowledgeable. The two small reefs in front of the hotel were enjoyable for snorkeling. The food was most enjoyable with great buffet breakfasts, friendly beach service or lunch served in the restaurant and lovely dinner selections. The all-inclusive nature of the resort made everything easy. The live music and dance floor after dinner were a lot of fun. The drinks flowed freely all day. I look forward to returning in the future.

Love this little hotel in Paradise!

We loved this boutique hotel in Barbados. The staff was so friendly and kind. The food and drinks were amazing. The beach was pristine. They even upgraded us for free and brought my husband a cake with sparklers for his Birthday. We will definitely be back with our grandkids soon.

The property was nice and in a good location with a very nice beach, however the hotel is tired and could use maintenance and the grounds could be better maintained. bar furniture and beach chairs need to be replaced. The staff is very nice with a few exclusions, this is average for most properties I guess. If you are staying at this hotel and are a light sleeper Do Not book a garden view room. Saturday and Sunday they go till 4;30 in the morning. The food was very good and varied with excellent presentation. overall I would say 6 out of 10

There is a beautiful beach that is clearly the highlight of this property . Service ranges from indifferent and ineffective to personable and professional depending on the staff person. Food was generally good and the drinks are plentiful . The resort is friendly due to the smaller size and design. A surprising number of visitors from the UK which adds to the overall vibe.

Good stay but not a wonderful one

We enjoyed our stay at this all inclusive resort in Holetown. The location is good for seeing the north and eastern part of the island. We stayed in a condo on the complex which had beautiful sea views. It was generally ok and comfortable but not luxurious as per other hotels we’ve stayed in on the island. The resort is situated on a beautiful beach which is well looked after by the hard working beach staff. It is a sloped beach so entry to the water can be difficult. There are many comfortable sun beds and parasols but they get reserved very early so you find the same people have the best front line beds every day. The availability of water sports is very good and the staff who manage this are friendly and helpful. There are twice weekly catamaran trips laid on which are very enjoyable. It is necessary to put yourself on the list in reception to ensure a spot as there is limited space on them.
We found the food at Mango Bay mostly very good and enjoyable. The service in the restaurant and bar, however, left much to be desired. There are not many happy, welcoming smiles on the faces of the staff there. The greeting at breakfast was often surly especially when Shonelle was working. She obviously does not enjoy her job. There were exceptions such as Karon, Maria and Nadia. Most staff are miserable though and this, perhaps, highlights a training issue. Management are often around and always seemed friendly and pleasant but that attitude needs to cascade down to the staff.
