The hotel is in a fabulous location just across the road from the beach. When we arrived we received a lovely welcome from the staff, and throughout our stay. Very helpful with information and organising our transfers. Loved the breakfast too.

We had a fantastic stay at the Veggera Hotel. It's in a beautiful location, right on the seafront. It was so easy to get from our room to the sunbeds on the beach - it only took a minute! It was the first time we'd ever encountered a beach with black sand - and of all the beaches on Santorini this is definitely the best! The room and whole hotel complex was tastefully designed in white and blue Cycladic colours, and the selection of food at the restaurant was largely excellent. There's also a nice selection of shops to visit for souvenirs and, if you fancy a challenge, walk up to Ancient Thera from the hotel. It's not for the faint-hearted and will take about 45-60 mins in total, but it's well worth the trek! We would definitely come again and will be sure to recommend the Veggera Hotel to our friends.

Breakfast was adequate. I would suggest maybe putting food description tags with the buffet options.
Room was very basic and nothing near what the picture offered in the website. It was disappointing, very noisy - could hear flushing toilets throughout the night, battled to sleep.
No beach towels offered or I was made aware of the offer. Expected more.

Unfortunately the room was given to us, not having enough space for 4 people comfortably. It was a bit difficult situation for a family to spend a holiday for 7 days. While the Hotel was claiming to be too busy due to peak time, so they can't offer a better room.

This is more a review of the hotel staff

The hotel team were friendly and helpful. There were a few things we did not like and they tried to help offering a transfer to a sister hotel.

We accepted the transfer after 1 night.

The restaurant team were great, explained each dish and made suggestions on how to eat the local starters. Negative is the meals too long to come out the kitchen (dinner was 2 hours as we had to wait almost approx 1 hour for the main).

Breakfast was varied and everyone was really engaging ( no wait)

If would not recommend full board or half board as the menu is very limited. There are so many places close by you could eat out (better choice) for less.

The hotel itself was ok, two pools lose and the beach directly opposite the hotel.

Drinks were fairly expensive €14+ for a cocktail, €4.50 for a 250ml coke 😮

The room we were given felt like an economy room, the bed couldn't have been a queen. The room was paint some time ago but they left paint marks on the floor, fridge and furniture.

The parking behind the hotel is a public parking used by beach go'ers and surrounding hotels so it's difficult to get a space.

1 week in Perrisa

We arrived at midnight the receptionist was very welcoming and helped take the bags to our room.We had a room upgrade which I recommended as a lot of the basic rooms are lower than ground level.
Be aware there are no lifts so steps up to top floors !
Pool area is nice with comfy beds however the pool is not heated we found the sea warmer at the end of October.
The location was excellent for beach shops and restaurants. There is also a large carpark to the rear a short walk to reception.There is a gate onto the complex but this was locked during our stay.
We stayed half board for 1 week.
Restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good with usual hot and cold selections but needed more choice of cereals.Evening meals were huge though the choice was limited if you dont like fish.
We swapped for lunch twice to eat out on the night which is a handy option.
Would have been 5 star review but our patio area had no sun due to its location or view and our neighbour was sat next to us there is no screen.
We also found the drinks in the bar pricey G and T at €11and cocktails at €16 beers ok at €6
However a great place to chill out after visiting some of the busy attractions.
Tip check out the cruise ship time table before visiting Thira it can be very busy with 5 boat loads visiting at a time all rushing around due to there limited time on this lovely island.

I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the rooms were not cleaned daily and the meal options for the week became a bit boring. Otherwise a great place to stay

Please note this review is more relevant to couples with young children. We stayed here with our 10 month old.

The hotel rooms are nice and we had plenty of space. They also had a kettle for us at no extra charge. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The location was great as the beach was right opposite which offered loungers and umberella for €15 a day. We opted of this over the pool as there was no shade around either pool and at 32 degrees that was way too hot for baby.

The food options were acceptable but not amazing. Many supermarkets nearby to get bits of baby like nappies, wipes and purées.

I would stay again, however definitely recommend a car to visit other areas as well especially for food etc.

Made our honeymoon special

Went here for our honeymoon and it was amazing. I kept the hotel as a surprise for my wife and she absolutely loved it. The room was fantastic with an amazing view of the pool and plants. It was very near the black sand beach and the mountain. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. There are two pools which are great and the hotel restaurant serves very good traditional Greek food.

I think this hotel over promises . It’s nice enough but not like the pictures. I feel they are hiding behind Covid somewhat. More non dairy would be nice at breakfast for vegans. This lacked a friendly hospitality approach it seemed too focussed on getting the most out of the paying tourist - hire fees for sun beds on the beach for example .

Location was convenient (beach across the main street ), rooms were spacious enough, but bed and especially pillows were subpar (no support for the neck at all).Breakfast was standard for 3 star hotel and bit monotonous which is, to be fair expected of such and similar venues. Overall, I guess you could do better if you look around but not much within this price range.

The receptionist at check in was extremely welcoming, friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The hotel has a bar and restaurant associated with it - the servers were all friendly as well. The location is great, too - it is across the street in from the beach and we could use the beach beds for free. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Excellent experience!

Lovely hotel right on the beach with sun beds available free to guests. Breakfast was served rather than buffet and Tariq our server was fantastic - coping well with the demands of 7 people!! We only stayed here for 2 nights flying home from Santorini after island hopping and the rooms were spacious and clean.

Tried to check in for our \"guaranteed\" Hotels.com reservation only to be told they had \"mistakenly overbooked\" Veggera and would put us in the hotel next door which turned out to be pretty bad. We stayed one night and then went to ask for a refund and move somewhere better. \"Suddenly\" they found us another room at the Antonperla which was very nice with a private little pool in our room. Suzanna at the front desk at Antonperla was excellent as was the porter Hussain at Veggera. Food on the half board plan was okay, a little rushed on the service and became repetitive after a few days. It worked out okay in the end because of Antonperla but I'm convinced Veggera was trying to take advantage of us with a deliberate overbooking scheme at the start. The \"overbooking mistake all seemed a little too rehearsed

Just across the beach, you get out of the hotel, cross the road and you are in the beach!
Staff were friendly esply John in reception and Elsa in the restaurant. One of the night staff in reception was grumpy.
We had half board, food was ok, huge portion.
No toiletries provided
No water in your rooms and you had to buy water
The rokms were clean but the domestics used some kind of cleaning product- too strong a smell, at times suffocating.
We stench was on all our cloathing- would the management look into this please

The hotel is across the road from the beach, they also have two pools & a beach bar which shows different sports. Elsa & Thanos worked very hard with a smile & a very friendly welcoming. They had sunbeds free of charge you just had to buy a drink.
Pergola Restaurant service was excellent all the staff were very friendly especially Elsa & Laura & the food was excellent. I would not have a problem recommending Veggera Hotel

This is the second time my husband and visited Santorini and stayed at the Veggera Hotel. We had a much smaller room this time but it did not disappoint. Lovely showers facilities although no amenities other than handwash. There is a shop next to the hotel where you can get shower gel, shampoo and conditioner if you didn't bring any with you. John and Jaco at the front desk are ever so welcoming and happy to help with any advice or requests you have. We will definitely stay at Veggera for our third Santorini trip!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Veggera and I would not only stay there again, but I would recommend it to people visiting Santorini. The location is perfect and the property is beautiful. The rooms was the perfect size and accommodated us nicely. The staff at the Pergola restaurant were so awesome and the food was delicious.

I only have two complaints. The staff cleaning the rooms missed the grime that forms around the bathroom sink bowl. That was kind of yucky to see and accidentally touch. The wifi was touch and go. In the room the signal was almost impossible to pick up. We did notify the front desk but it seems nothing was done.

I would definitely go back though. The location on Perissa Beach was perfect.

This property was right across from the beach, however to use the property lounge chairs you must buy drinks or food from the bar!
Also you must bring your own beach towel and bathroom products. you can rent a towel for your stay and there is a little store next door that you can buy shampoo and soap. My only big complaint was the bed was very hard, the A/C was not working and the Wifi did not work unless I was sitting outside my room.

Unable to stay at the Veggera as they had overbooked so we were upgraded to their 5* sister hotel Antoperla around the corner.. reception friendly and informative.. bar staff too interested in some Americans to actually serve us efficiently .. we ate dinner at the Veggera as we had booked half board.. the front of house man! Was chewing gum which we didn’t feel gave off the right feel! The other staff were friendly and helpful.. there was a pool with our room but the view wasn’t nice.. overlooking a run down looking hotel and the wall at the end of the garden was low so overlooked by passing tourists. We were only there for 1 night as a stop off before flying back to the uk. Unfortunately not somewhere I would look at booking again at either hotel..

The property was very clean and in an excellent position. Our room was beautifully cleaned each day. The pool area was always clean and the pools were great. Loved that we could use the deck chairs on the beach as well. The wifi they offered worked perfectly in the beach and around the pools but was hopeless in our room. They offered to store our luggage on the day we were leaving and had a shower room we could use. All very good but the shower room had no where to put your clothes or towel while you showered. No hooks or chair or shelves. We would recommend this hotel to our family and friends. Loved our week here

This hotel is on a very steep street, and to make it worse the street is in very poor condition and very dark. If you have any difficulty walking I recommend you stay at Mikis Place down the street directly accross from bus stop and water bus.

Beautiful hotel opposite the beach

I love this hotel and this was my third stay. Perissa is a relaxed beach town just 20 mins on the bus from Fira. The hotel is right on the beach with lots of sunbeds...if you're feeling particularly relaxed or lazy you can order food and drinks and then charge them to your room. The black sand gets very hot so is not suitable for children to play on which makes it pretty quiet for adults who want to read and sleep. The hotel is in a great location right in the middle of a large selection of restaurants and bars. Its own restaurant is really good and if you're staying at the hotel you automatically get 15% off every meal. The two pools are a good size and the pool area is always clean. Also included in the stay was a complimentary massage and as we had upgraded this to a full anti-stress massage we we invited to take it in their new hotel (the Anto Perla) and use the spa facilities. I would really recommend the spa and we used the steam room, sauna and plunge pool. If it hadn't been such a sunny day we would have spent longer there but we wanted to get back to the beach.

The perfect vacation

The Veggera is an excellent vacation hotel located on Perissa Beach. The staff was very helpful setting up the sunset cruise and our transportation to the airport. Everyone was very friendly and professional. The Spa was a wonderful experience - reasonably priced and professional. The location of the hotel was perfect along the seaside with a great variety of shops and restaurants within walking distance. We are looking forward to returning for another relaxing vacation.

Wonderful hotel in Perissa

Wonderful hotel located in the heart of Perissa Beach, Santorini. Grounds are steps from the sand, and the staff is tremendously helpful/friendly. Breakfast buffet is excellent, and within walking distance to bus stop to explore the island. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely Hotel, just over the road from the Beech

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, Breakfast choices are fairly good. they tend to alternate some stuff every other day. the location is the same as all hotels on the front - all on the roadside so you have to cross over the road to get to the beech. the road is quiet really, the only thing that makes it busy is mainly the quads, and bikes that the locals and the tourists ride.

Lacking so e expected comforts

Great location, lovely room, most staff are informative and friendly. Good sized pool, on the beach, plenty of sunbeds. Good variety at breakfast, all very clean and fresh.
Affiliated restaurant quite expensive, had to pay for a safety deposit box and beach towels.
There is no tea and coffee facilities or toiletries, other than soap, in the room which is not what i would expect from this standard of hotel. The website says there is tea and coffee availanle in common areas but it isnt. You need to buy it from the hotel bar where it will cost as much as a specialist coffee shop for instant coffee. The website also says that water is provided in the room, it is, but it is 1 litre bottle for the week only. This was disappointing. The lack of these facilities added an expense that we had not anticipated.
There was an empty site at the back where we were advised to park but after the first couple of days we found it chained up with our car locked inside. The hotel does not own the plot and the only way out was to lift the chain and drive under. Without this plot parking is very challenging.

Stayed for 4 nights, beds were as hard as a rock, and service very lacking. This hotel needs few upgrades to charge the prices they do. Free breakfast to be taken away from you just in front of you as you arrive at closing time. Never, in my life of traveling, I seen this happening. Sorry, but can't tell anything good about this hotel. Next door, ocean blue looked better.

Quality hotel spotless clean we had a sea facing room with balcony. Breakfast good choice hot and cold food. Some really good restaurants (including hotel) along the sea front. Staff all lovely and so helpful. Wonderful relaxing holiday everything so laid back. Plenty of regular local buses to other towns. Bed was very hard for me (but hubby liked it).

This hotel is small like most in Santorini so don't expect The Hilton !
Check-in was quick friendly, shown to our room which was a reasonable size with a large balcony and partial sea view but most importantly it was clean with good a/c.
Two pool areas which as you would expect monopolised by one family who bag all the sun beds early in Morning with out any thought for other guests, why don't these people just chill out and hotels stop this before a reasonable time in the morning.
The hotel is located on Perrissa beach and has its own sun beds which they charge €10 per set during Jul/Aug, you can get free sun beds almost anywhere along the beach if you use the associated restaurants facilities, just have lunch there no minimum spend.
Breakfast was included but not very good, if you want an English brekki forget it, cold meat and cheese looked ok.
Late check out is available if they are able to at €40, you are better off using their gym showers on day of departure.
Staff in general very friendly/helpful except one sower faced young girl at breakfast getting really irritated if you ask for a buffet top up.
Nice pool bar with great bar man.
We didn't have lunch or dinner there.
Hard beds.
Poor wifi.
Charge for beach towels.

Air conditioning was slow to become effective, leaving room too hot at night.
I was disappointed with the transport offered by hotel to & from airport. Hotel transport expensive (30 Euros each way), but alternative offered by Expedia was £20 return and very efficient. Hotel (manager?) booked arranged pick-up in my presence from Tranquilo restaurant but did not pass on pick-up information to driver, who was told I had checked out and to look for me on the road. Luckily he found me waiting on road. This confusion/miscommunication could have resulted in missing my flight.

Great hotel in a perfect location

Cleanliness of the hotel was excellent The room was cleaned on a daily basis and anything we needed or asked for was fulfilled as we wished. Hotel provided cups and kettle to request. Staff was always very helpful and polite. We asked for a room with sea view and as soon as became available they were willing to swap the rooms for us. Food very tasty and always fresh. Most importantly beach just in front of the hotel!!! Overall we were very happy and pleased with our stay and definetely would recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel

Stayed at the Veggera for 5 nights this month . nice clean & modern hotel. Good breakfast. Staff friendly & helpful. We had a nice room overlooking one of the pools on the upper level. There are two pools one of which is supposed to be an adults only pool according to the advertising but there were kids in both pools so That didn't appear to be the case. The beach is directly over the road to the hotel. The only negative would be that you are charged 4 euro per person for the beach beds & umbrella (per day / morning or however long you sat on the beach for) which I think is a bit rude for guests of the hotel, this should definitely be part of the package if your staying at the hotel. The hotel toiletries could have been a little better, (just a one container for everything lotion) in the bathroom. But overall a nice hotel. Haven't stayed anywhere else in Santorini (yet)
