I'm being generous with 3 stars because the room was clean and the staff was friendly Other than that I was pretty miserable in that room. I am very sensitive to chemical smells and that room was a disaster. The artificial scent was horrible and there was no window to even crack open to get it out of the room. The sheets were very stiff, and really smelled like bleach. The pillows were all hard and the bed was not comfortable. The breakfast was very limited and should have been more stocked than we arrived. I will not be returning to this hotel ever.

This hotel was a massive disappointment.
The cleanliness was bad to terrible, the hotel itself is run down, there was a massive air gap around the air con, huge amount of internal noise, light bleeds in through the badly fitted door and ill fitted curtains. We avoided breakfast as it was appealing and lastly, the noise from the road was as if they made no attempt to noise dampen the room.
On reflection we should have just left!

We had to change rooms 3 times upon arrival about 11 pm.
1st room the smoke detector kept going off and on.
2nd room, the television didn't work.
These 2 rooms were on the 3rd floor.
So, we asked and got the 1st floor.
Would you believe the ice machine was only on the 2nd floor.
Smell of the hotel and the rooms wasn't pleasant.
The furniture old scratches not matching - only 1 lamp.
The breakfast was minimal. coffee wasn't hot I microwaved it in my room.
The appearance was Not up to my standards from outside entrance to lobby to the rooms.
Funny, I noticed the doors to the rooms were maybe 6'5\" tall, but the room walls were doubly high. Strange.
I picked this hotel based on it was supposed to be on the bay. It's a commercial district.
The bay is 2 blocks away with no views.
Definitely not worth the price.
BTW the 2 young men running the hotel were very nice and helpful of the moving around to the 3rd room.
However, they could be dressed better with some kind of professional uniforms, not \"street\" clothing.
I notice these things because I'm in the real estate industry for 50 years. I travel all over the USA, always looking to make a property better and a good experience upon arrival.

The building looked very outdated. Not enough towels in the bathroom. Old smell in room. Body Wash installed in the wall of the bathroom was not replenished.
We were able to do late check out. And stayed there because was very close to the fishing area were we are going. Other than that not staying there ever again.

Property reception was pretty and clean. First room I was given the curtain was hanging, duvet was stained and room smelled of cigarette smoke. Went to desk and requested a new room. Second room smelled like mold and duvet was stained, carpet was stained, and box spring had food on it. This hotel was not clean at all. The desk clerk was super nice and professional. My daughter and I left. We did not stay. Cleanliness is a problem at this hotel.

Needed a room close to Raymond James Stadium. Great value. But, at 7.5+ miles away, in traffic it was sooooo far away.
Bathroom sink emitted a sulfuric avoid accent like rotten eggs; alerted the front desk-- see if it gets fixed.
Breakfast was ample and typical but eggs were dry and overcooked.

It started out on a bad note, I didn't arrive until around 9:30 pm and perhaps that had something to do with it, but I stood around in the lobby for 20 minutes waiting for someone to show up and check me in. When I finally headed to my room, the first thing that greeted me as I stepped off the elevator were two room doors that looked as if \"The SWAT Team\" had tried to force their way into them!!!

The staff was very nice but the location was werid. It was in a shady area and the spots of the parking lot are small. A F150 or bit trucks will not fit in their spots. Parking is limited. The breakfast was barely anything so do not count to eat breakfast at the hotel even though it is included. The tv remote was missing from our room. The hallways smell like mildew but the room was ok for a one night stay. I would not stay longer than 1 night here.

Our luggage sat in the room for less than 2 hrs, while we got a bite to eat, and while eating we decided we didn't feel safe staying there (2 \"older\" women traveling alone). When we returned to LaQuinta we told the clerk that we had decided not to stay and i was told a refund of the $176 paid may not be forthcoming. That's just wrong.

Two nights I was there and repeatedly had to ask for a different room, the beds were like sleeping on concrete, pillows stuffed with towels. We had to contact the police as there was a domestic fight right outside my door that went on all night long, hotel staff did nothing about, my kids were traumatized and did not feel safe at all. They had drug addicts there. The people that were fighting come to find out they live in this hotel. They threw everything out of the room there was crashing and banging. This girl was hit repeatedly. But they did nothing about it. It’s as if they brushed it off because they knew people lived there. It was a horrible experience when you have little kids with you. The hotel manager is rude and dismissive of everything. Even when contacting the police the hotel still doesn’t care. Please don’t bring your children and stay here. I regret it!

Giving a good rating since nothing went wrong, hotel was overall clean and we didn’t have a bad experience but hotel could use some work. Lobby most attractive part of hotel. We stayed 2 nights. Was “upgraded” to execute suite which basically had a small kitchen. It did not have a closet however which was inconvenient. Safe was on floor not secured. only 2 towels no. ahh may or facecloths. soap and shampoo provided, the mirror in bathroom was great my favorite part of the room. Seems to be a lot of long term guests/ residents, everyone was quiet & respectful of each other. Breakfast was fine for what it is, juices seemed watered down day 2. Staff we interacted with were great.

The hotel staff could not have been more accommodating. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and informed. They were great with which to interact. The room was adequately queen. The room was quiet. I especially enjoyed the pool setting. Would definitely return. It was also conveniently located between Tampa and St Pete.

It wasn’t your finest la Quinta but it was very clean. We were on a road trip for 3 days prior to arriving and needed to wash our laundry only to be told that the in-house quest laundry was out of service. Luckily there was a laundromat a few properties away. Also we noticed the morning breakfast juices from the dispenser were very watery like they were watered down (?)
Staff was very pleasant. They were at your beckon call and provided as per your request and that we stayed there for 4 nights made that nice.
Very convenient location to eateries, Laundry, stores, etc.

The staff was friendly and main area clean. The room was musty smelling and there was so much moisture in the air that the floors were slippery. The coating on my good and plenty candies melted off overnight from the moisture. I asked another guest to walk in my room, and he totally agreed there was something wrong.The staff moved me to another room, which was better, but still had the same musty smell.

Go elsewhere. This place is a prime example of false advertisement. The rooms remind me of red roof inn or other shady motels. The staff refer everything to management and management is only available under certain circumstances. The manager gave incorrect information and then refused a partial refund for a night we didn't stay.

The curtains in the room do not close. They have some white curtain that is see thru. But you cannot close out the light.. this is the only hotel in my life i have ever seen without curtains to block the light. Stay was fine. Until the front desk agent came to my car where I was smoking a cigarette. It was too hot to be outside.and told me I had 10 minutes to go to my room. Mind you there was other people outside in standing by their car in the parking lot smoking. He said nothing to them and just came to my car. I packed my stuff and left. Wasn’t worth the argument. I already knew I had a losing battle my skin color wasn’t allowed to be outside. Won’t book again!
