First time revisit to NIhonbashi- Kodenmacho area since 1998. Although the immediate area has grown and changed a lot over the years, my choice of APA Kodenmacho Eki Mae was based on excellent transporation hub area, very walkable Nihonbashi/Ningycho streets, Very friendly, helpful and smiling staff/reception desk staff.

Perfect place to make a childhood dream come true!

Very friendly staff, even if you have limited japanese knowledge. This hotel is also in a prime location in the center of tokyo with 3 train stations within about a 3 minute walk of the hotel. Bags with fresh towels are dropped off almost daily, and you can leave your towels out to be taken away. The room is automatically cleaned every 3rd day while you are out on the town if you're staying that long or longer. A perfect hotel for solo travelers with multiple 7/11's and family marts just a couple streets down. My childhood dream was to come to Japan, i'm a huge anime and manga fan, and this hotel was the perfect place to stay, plus it's not very expensive. In fact if you book decently in advance it's quite cheap! If you need to extend your stay it is 2,000 yen per hour up to 2 hours for late checkout, which for someone who was struggling to emotionally cope with leaving Japan (I cried at home before writing this) that was very helpful. They even have an onsite restaurant for breakfast which provides filling meals for an affordable price! Thank you to the staff for being so kind and patient to me as a foreigner, I promise i'll learn more japanese for next time haha. Would recommend staying here 10 times out of 10, foreigners and locals stay here and it's easy to see why. Thank you again for everything, I loved every second of being in this hotel when I was in, and hopefully see ya again in the future! <3

I do not work for you. Please do not treat me like I work for you. Check in was not a good experience me. I felt like I was being treated like a new employee being trained how to check people in…why do you have staff if they insist on self check in. The front desk gentleman was cold & made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Why would I pay to be treated this way. You are in the hospitality industry perhaps it would be a good idea to act like it. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

The room is small, we booked 2 stays separately. 1 night Skipped then come back for 2 more nights.
One room was clean the other wasn't so much but not to the point of filthy.

The maids seem to be south Americans.

We only away for 1 night and was asking them to store the luggage for us for 1 night but they said they can't which is extremely disappointed and wasted of my booking.
I could've try a different hotel in a bit better location.

However I cannot deny that this location is quite convenient, you can choose few subway lines or JR

Funky hotel chain

This is a clean and ecological hotel with small rooms but all the amenities needed. The staff is attentive, even dealing with issues by email before I arrived. There is a Taiwanese restaurant on the first floor. It is conveniently located. And, there are books in each room about Japanese history.

I think this time of my stay is not okay as my room is not clean. I stayed at APA hotels before and it was pleasant but this time my hotel room is not clean. There are a lot of marks on the wall. The bathroom needs deep cleaning as the shower area have molds. The panel for using the bidet have some too.

APA hotels in Tokyo have very small appartments (11 m2) and this was no exception. What stood out, however, was the rigid and unhelpful policies of their management. In my case, I was to go on a two-day trip to Seoul and I asked to leave my bigger suitcase at the hotel until my return. I had actually booked a reservation with them for that second stay. They refused and it did not help asking for a supervising manager. Of course, I canceled the second reservation and I booked another hotel which promptly acceded to my request to leave my suitcase with them for two days prior to my arrival

The room was old and dirty. Chair in the room was broken. The location seemed old with no storage under the bed, unlike some of the newer locations near by. Service by the front desk was consistent with APA. Only one elevator which was also an issue during peak hours. Overall, I would avoid this location. 4 other near by within walking distance that are newer.

I was less than impressed. I had stayed with two other APA hotels previously that were much better experiences. The hotel smelt like smoke despite being on nonsmoking floor. It was incredibly stuffy and hot in the rooms. Staff seemed bothered when we had to ask for assistance.

A great hotel in a great spot! 30mins away from Sensoji Temple, Tokyo Sky Tree, Shibuya Scramble. Get the 72hr Tokyo Subway Pass with your Keisei Skyliner ticket online to explore many of these places without having to use your IC or buy a ticket until the 4th day. The Hibiya line stops nearby and makes it so easy to return to the airport through Ueno Station and back onto the Keisei Skyliner. Hibiya is also covered under the Tokyo Subway pass and is one stop away from Akihabara! So this hotel is extremely close to Japan's electric Town! 30mins by walking and even less by train!

Staff were super friendly! Check in was a breeze and check out was super simple. Daily room keeping. The staff at the desk also helped me send my luggage back to the airport using Yamato Transport. Hands free is how to do it in Japan! Room was clean. Possibly best for couples without a lot of luggage or lone travelers like myself! The room is fairly small in Japanese fashion but I didn't mind, it was cozy. Will definitely use APA again.

APA Kodemmacho Ekimae is close to Kodemmacho and Bakurochou subway, and close to Akihabara and Ueno. Location wise is great.
However while visiting here in the winter, the room a/c system only provide warm and wind air, that made the room extremely hot with no air circulation, only way was to open the window.

- Located near a few different local train stations which take under 10 mins to get to
- Towels, etc replenished daily, despite not having rooms cleaned daily (out of choice)
- Can leave luggage at reception prior to check in and post check out if you have a late flight
- Reception staff able to speak in English

Cons:
- Room was constantly humid despite having air conditioning at lowest temperature and fan in bathroom on
- Water system in bathroom was a combined tap and shower head, however, it could only be opened to medium or high flow (even though it indicated that low flow was an option on tap) and often overflowed the tiny sink, then drenching the bathroom floors
- Room small, but fit all amenities and is to be expected when travelling to Japan (try not to bring to large of a luggage)

As per all APA hotels, very comfortable. Not quite up to ther standard of the APA hotels in Yokohama and Nagasaki. No problems, but it is in a slightly out of the way location. The rooms did not have the same standard of electric points. It was also more expensive that the APA hotels in other Japanese cities, so not such a great deal.

The hotel is in Kodemmacho and is extremely safe. No needs to worry about safety any time of day. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very courteous. The hotel is conveniently located less than a block from the train station. The downside: the hotel was very hard to find because their are APA hotels all around the area and this one is kind of hidden off of the Main Street. The room is VERY small. So if your not solo you could maybe fit one more person, but no more than that. The pillows are very thin and hard and can be uncomfortable for anyone used to soft American pillows. Overall a pretty good place to stay, and I would stay again.

The service was phenomenal! Pretty new building/rooms no smell or smoke or mildew like some other hotels. Location was fairly close to the subway (around 5 minutes) and a few great lunch places- Though there isn’t much to do here in the evening. There is a Lawson and 7/11 close by so you can grab some drinks/ snacks. Rooms are super small as are the beds- pretty standard for Japan though. Rooms were super clean and had everything we needed. Price was great- will definitely stay here again when I return to Tokyo!

Conviniently located in a quiet Tokyo neighborhood

The hotel neighborhood is away from the massive Tokyo crowd, yet it is still extremely well-connected to all the major tourist locations.

There are three subway lines within reach of your finger tips and it is very convinient... ...can go all the way to Narita or Yokohama non-stop by subway.

The neighborhood has some interesting dining options and cofee shops. Great for exploring this residential neighborhood.

The rest is standard APA fare... ....room is always clean, wifi is stable... ...etc.

Location is good however the cleaning staff made noise in the morning and twelve in the midnight, so it’s was not a pleasant thing to experience. Room is clean but walls are super thin, so that the conversions outside can clearly heard or yours in the room can be easily heard from outside. Window can not be fully opened, so you can barley see anything, than I had to go down to the first floor to check out the weather. The size of the room is super tiny! I stayed by myself for two nights. When I opened my suitcase, I was not able to walk in the room more than 1-2 steps. I’m sure American or European tourists won’t feel comfortable in such a small place.

Having travelled in Japan previously, I can deal with the small sized rooms (please note to open a medium or large sized luggage, you must do that on the bed). This hotel however has terrible showers and pillows which makes for a very uncomfortable stay. Also there is a single lift for 10 floors so be prepared to spend a chunk of your day waiting (especially at peak times).
The cherry on top is that the cleaner on the 4th night of our stay threw away my partners retainers and denied touching the cup they were in (even though we returned to the cup being clean and upside down). The hotel actually outsources their cleaning to another company so there is zero ownership of the problem. The manager went as far as telling me to call the police as there were two versions of the truth (mine and the cleaner).
In short, it’s cheap but I would never stay here again.
