Overall great hotel, the only thing getting in the way is the room size. It makes it a bit hard to do even simple stuff like change clothes or iron a shirt, but everything else was amazing. Staff is courteous and helpful, the room is cleaned well and amenities are provided upon request.

If size of the room is no consideration, would definitely stay here again.

- Very helpful and kind lobby staff
- Located within walking distance to good department stores and multiple station lines
- Located in a street that doesn't get too busy, so taxi pick ups are smooth

Cons:
- There's only one elevator serving all of the floors, so it may be inconvenient at busy times when lots of people are trying to go up or down to the lobby
- The bathroom in the room might be a bit dated-- turning on the faucet or flushing the toilet causes the pipes to make a lot of loud noises.

Room was so small we could hardly move around, the bathroom was small and the bath water leaked which made the towels drenched which we put on floor to stop slipping. The lillows were thin and we only got one each was dissapointing, as we were out early and late back never saw anyone to ask for extra.
Location was good 8 mins to nearest metro, vending machines 1 min away.
Able to drop luggage early before check in and leave at check out free of charge.
Area felt safe.

The rooms are minuscule but the service is amazing and the location is very convenient as its close to akihabara, a few different train stations, and is only a mild walk to the tokyo station for the Shinkansen. There’s a small 7/11 nearby for snacks and atm access, a lovely bakery a 5 minute walk away, and two post offices within walking distance. The laundry is always open to use in the morning, and the workers are exceptionally polite and helpful.

I stayed in three hotels during my visit to Japan and this one was my favorite one by far! The entrance to the metro station is literally right next door so the hotel was very convenient for public transportation. There were activities in the lounge on different days and nice free amenities such as coffee and skincare packs. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful. The price was very reasonable. I was sad to leave this hotel!

The bathroom smelled like an old towel. There were lots of contractors coming in and out for renos so the lift took long time to use.
The room was supposed to be non-smoking but I could smell cogfaretres.
The price is good as well as locations.

The property is located down a dark alleyway but marked well so you can find it after hours. you go down the elevator to the lobby and then up a diff elevator to you room. They mismanaged our booking- we were given 1 bed only for 2 travelers and tried to charge us more per night to move us. I thought it was a one off thing but saw others in the same boat during our stay. Apparently they do this regularly. staff is very helpful - but some dont understand english well and you may think they do but they dont - be careful. The hotel has excellent amenities near the check in counter - you have to pick up. Typical tokyo hotel -small rooms for the most part. Convenient walk to a local supermarket (go early if you want the bento boxes) and 7/11 etc. Two stations close by make it easier to access the public transportation. if you need something you have to ask. Many places would help tourists with info - but unless you ask they wont say anything. Staff is quite helpful if you ask. The breakfast price kept switching was 900 yen on arrival and 1540 yen on the day we left. It seems quite good but we didnt avail of it. there are multiple eating joints within walking distance. and this is right next to the upscale shopping area. Try the Coredo buildings for shops etc. would we stay here again - not sure. pricey but good location. And frankly there are other options which may be better. We did feel a bit unsafe walking back late at night as the place is located down a less well lit alley.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. This location is a bit of a gem because it is so central and well connected while still being quite affordable. The breakfast option is fairly straightforward with rice, curry, bread etc. But it is still quite delicious and good value. If/when I return to Tokyo, I will definitely check for availability here.

We stayed 6 nights at the hotel. It is in the Nihonbashi district, quieter than other parts of the city. We liked the location very much. Subway stations are near and there are many restaurants nearby. The room was small, as is often the case in Japan, but it was OK for us, as we spent most of our time visiting the city. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff is nice and helpful. We would gladly return to this hotel.

The weirdest thing about this property was that it was in an alley. The staff were extremely nice and professional. The room was very small, and the ceilings are pretty low--maybe 7.5 feet. If you're tall or have issues with being in very close quarters, this is probably not the room for you. However, we were there for 5 days, and we really didn't have any complaints--we weren't there to hang out in the room. The nicest thing, though, was that we were withing 5-10 minutes from 3 or 4 subway stations, AND the neighborhood was VERY quiet, since the hotel was situated in the area of a bunch of office buildings. I really didn't have any complaints except that the room was incredibly small.

Kinda of off the beaten path and sets back from main streets and can be a bit hard to find at first. Quite a way from the Tokyo train terminal and a 10 min walk to closets train station. This was one of only two taxis we took during our 14 days stay in Japan instead of carrying luggage the distance etc.

The hotel is located very well, but that is it's only advantage. The staff was not prepared and they confused our rooms, they accommodated two people in a single room and one person in double room! The breakfast is horrible, there is literally nothing else than dry rice and a little curry soup. The hotel has bad air conditioning and everything smells of curry. The rooms were ok, otherwise, excluding the heavy air.

Curry for breakfast!

The hotel is perfectly fine. Clean , tidy and a fair sized room for the price.
Only negative really is the breakfast. They only really serve two types of curry for breakfast and not your normal breakfast which I found strange. So if you don’t like curry, maybe don’t pay extra for breakfast and pop to the local convenience store for that.

Traveled from the US for 2 weeks. Overall the hotel was great if you just want a place to sleep and aren’t going to spend time there.
The staff are very nice and they speak English which was a plus for people who don’t speak Japanese.
Around the hotel there’s not much to do. There are a couple little restaurants and convenience stores around it.
Luckily the train station entrances are pretty close so catching the train isn’t an issue.
Definitely recommend!

This hotel is a really great, mid-range option in a central location in Tokyo. When searching for hotels, this had GREAT reviews and was very reasonably priced for this area of Tokyo. For that alone, it was a great deal. It IS a little shabbier on the inside than perhaps the photos show, but it's well decorated and always smelt really nice so we found it charming. There was one con that I read about beforehand- the rooms are relatively small- but that was fine by us. UNFORTUNATELY, this meant the bed also was quite small for two people that don't like being glued together when we sleep. So that is really the only major con about staying here as a couple. It was a firmer bed too, but had it been more spacious it would have been fine. With that said, we had really lovely service here. Everyone was very helpful and sweet, and I like that the Villa Fontaine chain is working on being more eco-friendly. For smokers, there is a little smoking booth in the lobby which my bf made good use of. If I was in Tokyo as a singleton, I would stay here again (or see if they have bigger beds in different rooms!)
