We always stay at horidome villa when on holiday in Tokyo, in fact we’re going back again in a few days after a break in the mountains. We love it for many reasons, aside for being easily accessible, reasonably priced and its great cleanliness, the staff are excellent! They can speak English very well if you need it ( I don’t) and are very helpful with requests. We fully recommend staying there. The free morning coffee is a bonus!

The staff were very accommodating to my late arrival onto the property. For the most part it seems like they have someone at the desk or in the back office at all given hours which is extremely helpful. Most of the staff here speak some English, and are very friendly. The room i was in was a decent size for a hotel room in Tokyo, and the bathroom was the typical unit bath you can expect in almost every hotel in Japan.

The area surrounding the hotel has great food and drinking options, especially if you decide to travel to Ningyocho, which is extremely close as well. There is also laundry on the premises, however if you need larger machines you will find them nearby with a google search.

Firstly I hate being the person who complains but if I’m honest in the 6 weeks I’ve travelled in Japan over the last 2 years this was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. Firstly, there was a broken hanger and pair of slippers left behind from the previous person, the fridge didn’t work, even on the lowest setting everything kept freezing so I couldn’t use it to how I would have wanted to. The bathroom was also covered in mold. The tile, the tub, the shower curtain. I always travel with Lysol wipes for my phone and I’m glad I did because I just ended up cleaning everything myself instead of going through the hassle of navigating the language barrier for something like this. Also, since the windows didn’t open, even though it was a non smoking room the ventilation for the building was so I would be smoked out in my room and had to counter it with the fan and freshener spray provided in the lobby.

I was there for 9 days and I would say for the price in a pinch it would be fine for a day or two. The laundry was convenient with free detergent which was a bonus and the staff was kind (I forgot my key in the door since they are physical keys and had to call the front desk with my limited Japanese and they were great for that! Super kind) but the cleanliness leaves something to be desired. I also witnessed on one of my last nights a couple confronting the front desk with a pillow that was “smelly and unacceptable” so I know my room isn’t just a one off.

our stay here was pleasant, the room was cleaning and we were rarely disturbed by any noise. there was a fridge and robes provided in the room which were useful, however the size of the room was quite small - we struggled to open our big cases! this was fine for the 4 nights we spent here, as we spent most of our time out seeing the city, but if you plan to spend some more time in your hotel room this might not be ideal :)

Always a pleasure experience every time I go

I've been to this hotel multiple times when I come to Japan.
Never had any problems and staff have always been helpful, might be a slight language barrier from time to time but you can easily get through it smoothly.
Because of the amount of time I stay here, I feel like I live here temporarily because the staff know who I am and my room number most of the time that my key is already prepared for when I return. (You have a key, you drop it off at the desk when you leave and when you come back, you ask for your key to your room, there's no card entry at this time of review).

Like most rooms you stay at in Japan, especially in the city and at this price range, the rooms are standard size. Enough space to move around with a comfortable bed and a private bathroom, if you to expect something bigger, you would have to pay more money but if you are only here temporary, this is decent enough. Save that extra money for exploring.

tl;dr; the hotel is good, the staff are nice and friendly, the rooms are standard size but that's to be expected at this price and the location is decent between two train stations, Ningyocho being on the line for Haneda and Narita airports.

Japan alone is safe place to visit and so clean, the only thing I can comment to Horidome villa is to vacuum the room well and wipe the tables as it accumulated lots of dust, but overall is great, service and people so nice and helpful and will certainly recommend this place.

They have a microwave that you can use for any meals, and they also have shaving kits, shaving gel, combs, hair ties, in little little packets near the lobby for your use.
This is in addition to the body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, and mini toothpaste, that they have in each of the rooms.
Staff were friendly, professional, and polite. Asking for two extra pillows and an extra blanket was no trouble at all.

This isn't the first time I've stayed here and when it comes within my budget, I'll always stay here.
The staff are great. Very helpful and I always greet them when I return from being out. My Japanese is only little so I try my best to talk to staff in Japanese when I can but they are helpful in terms of pronouncing something wrong, they'd correct me and it helps brush up on my speaking ability.
In terms of rooms, I don't really have any issues with the rooms and my stays aren't short either. There is one thing I do want to point out this time though, I had room 412 and the door knob is a bit stiff to turn to get into the room but other than that, it's always a joyful experience being there.
There's a few convenient stores about, Family Mart is right next to the hotel with a restaurant, 7-11 is a cross the road a long with a Caffe Volece.
In terms of travel, Kodemmacho station isn't far away if you want to get to Akihabara or even other places from there, Ningyocho station with connections to Asakusa, Haneda and Narita airports, Bakurocho station is a bit of a walk but it's on the Shinjuku line if you wanted to get to there quick.

Other than that, the hotel is in a great place, staff are great and I've enjoyed it every time I stay there.

With two subway stations within easy walking distance, several Combini, excellent independent restaurants and a quiet laid back evening ambience, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

The small rooms won't suit everybody's tastes, but if you think of your hotel room more as a place to sleep and shower before your next adventure than a place you'll be spending your walking hours, then this won't bother you.

If you're a couple with 2 cases each, you might struggle for space, but single travellers will find the rooms just big enough, with beds high enough to slide cases underneath.

The staff are lovely, very welcoming, and made check in and check out very easy. In fact, we arrived well ahead of the 3pm check in time, and they just gave us our keys and let us have our rooms early. Even if this isn't possible on your visit, the hotel are happy to look after your cases while you go out and explore the local area of you arrive before check in time and your room isn't ready yet.

I have been staying at this hotel for the 8 times i have travelled to Tokyo. They are in a good location and they are cheap. They have a coin laundry so i dont have to pack a lot of clothes as i can wash them there. There is good travel routes with a small walk to Bakuro Yohohama station which will get you direct to Shinjuku in about 20 mins or a 5 min train ride or 15 min walk to Akihabara. The area around the hotel is full of culture and amazing places to eat however it does have a few issues. The beds are hard and noisy, the walls are a bit thin so you can near the snorers next door and the rooms are small however as someone who is 6 foot 3 i found the beds are longer then my bed at home so i was able to fit in the bed. In the end this is my hotel of choice, It is a little out of the way but to me thats the charm of it.

You get what you pay for - very small units with very little amenities at a very affordable rate. Unit was fine overall, beds were hard and a bit noisy but I was very happy with the air conditioning unit and clean bathroom. Property itself was a little worn down but that doesn't really matter if you're paying these rates. Staff were kind and helpful. Location was very quiet and safe as it is quite far from busy, popular areas; walking distance to a couple of different subway stations/lines. Various cafes in the area to choose from for breakfast and other dining options.

We stay in this hotel every time we visit Tokyo (at least once a year) and wouldn’t have it any other way. The staff are friendly, helpful and speak English if you need. They location is super convenient for metro stations and access to tourist spots, but is in a quiet neighbourhood itself. For the price this hotel has what you need to explore the city and have a base to live out of. The rooms are on the small side, which is to be expected, but there’s all you need and the water pressure in the shower is ace. We will be back

What an amazing hotel! Great location!! Maximum of a 5 minute walk to multiple subway stations. Small room (like all in Tokyo), but the space has been maximised with every area used. Well equipped room and lovely staff!! the BEST thing about this room was something called 'handy'. This is basically a phone supplied in your room for you to take out with you. This was so handy (excuse the pun) for us to use maps, find restaurants ect. Amazing place, only minor things was that the bed was quite hard, but would stay here again.

The hotel located near 2 subway station, 200m from Kodemmacho and 450m from Ningyocho, both station have elevator. The room is standard size of hotel room in Tokyo, you can open a 28\" and 24\" baggage and slide it under the bed. Although the room look a bit old but have everything you need. I would stay here again but will choose a bigger room type.

Very convenient location to multiple different subway stations, super friendly staff, and around some cheap and yummy restaurants.
But not the cleaniest rooms, we found hair in the shower and under the glass on the mantle. The room was super dusty and there was mold on the walls. (Bring Lysol wipes)
If you have allergies to mold, dust and smoke, don't stay here. I had issues breathing most nights.
The room is small than a single cabin on a cruise ship, the bed is somewhat hard; ask for extra pillows.

I personally would not stay here again for health reasons.

The hotel was really conveniently located and not too hard to reach from Narita International airport via Ueno Station. The hotel staff were very friendly and were always available to help if needed. The room was nice albeit very small. There was a tiny amount of floor space which meant that there was almost no room for both me and my partner to be stood up at the same time and have our suitcases in the room too. This being said the quality of the fittings was excellent and the hotel provided a phone which you could take out with you which had unlimited data for you to use while out and about. This was really helpful and made our trip to Tokyo so much better! For this we are very thankful. The hotel was lovely and I would recommend it to anyone. I personally would have no hesitation in staying here again

This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed at the Horridome Villa and it was every bit as good as my 1st visit. Rooms are small but well presented with everything you need in them including air on. WiFi in the hotel is excellent and they also have laundry facilities. If you’re visiting Akihabara you can walk there in 10 mins from the hotel. There are 2 train stations either side of the hotel, both less than a 2 min walk. Plenty of super markets in close proximity, basically a great base to travel around Tokyo from.

We liked the location of this hotel because it was close to the subway and Tokyo Station. However, like many Japanese hotels the rooms are small which wouldn’t suit everyone especially if you had large bags.
The decor is getting a bit used looking.
Useful guides in the room for air conditioner and TV remote both in English.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
We’d stay again.

Loved this hotel! The staff were extremely courteous from day one. The hotel also supplied a \"handy\" smartphone with each room, allowing you to use the data, make domestic calls and some international calls though I can't remember to which countries. We were planning on buying a pocket wifi but used this instead for navigating Tokyo while out and about. The rooms were a bit cramped but no smaller than other rooms I've stayed in, in Japan.

There was at least 3 different metro lines within a 5-10min walk which is very convenient to go to different parts of Tokyo and out of Tokyo. However, there was no direct line to Tokyo Station but there is a bus stop nearby which goes all the way to JR Expressway Bus Terminal a few stops away.

Staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are standard but acceptable.

This business hotel is in central Tokyo, where there are lots of companies & businesses. There are many eateries where locals dine - I felt it was a very safe area.

Room was small but well appointed. I found that the bed was rather too hard for me.

The location is great!!!! It is so convenient! It is also very inexpensive!!! The service is decent (not the best I've had in Japan because the service in Japan usually is just so so so awesome. ) No one helped us with our bags from the lobby to outside when we were checking out, for example. (Something I can live with). The hotel was fairly clean (not immaculate). The cleaning staff was really nice. When I needed things (e.g. extra hangers, more towels, more toilet paper), they were so accommodating. The front desk staff was generally nice and helpful, though they didn't go out of their way or go above and beyond (something I am used to in Japan because the customer service is so amazing). I asked if I could print something and they directed me to Kinkos (it was a nice walk). At other hotels in Japan, when I have asked for directions, they would print out instructions and how long it would take to get to my destination, and explain it thoroughly. When I asked to have a taxi called, they said it would cost us a little extra. I didn't have a problem with the service, the incredibly small rooms or thin walls because of the price and location. Next time I visit, I will spend a little more to get more. However, the hotel is fairly clean (it's not a dump) and the service is decent. And most of all, I loved the location and its convenience!!! I would rate it 3.5~ 3.7. It was \"decent\" for the price and location.

Doraemon

This hotel is right in the center of four different subway stops, all between 7-15 minutes of walking from the hotel. There are also full of dinning choices in the area: countless restaurants of different styles that fit any budget. We were so glad to be staying at a hotel with such convenience.

The rooms are small. The walking spaces in the room allow one person at a time to get by. But you would find all hotel rooms in Tokyo of in this price range to be same in term of room size. The most important thing for us was that we got a COMFORTABLE and CLEAN BED to sleep on for a few nights. There are some small things in the hotel that need updating, for example: wallpaper peeling off slightly in a corner that most people probably won't notice, old carpeting (although clean enough), but those things didn't bother us.

For a budget hotel like this one, they really give their guests the best and most that they can possibly offer.
