i like that it has a functioning kitchen complete with utensil, pots, kives, cutting board platea cupas ang glasses. they evn included a dishwashing liquid so you can eat take outs in the room. the location is perfect.

the suite is outstanding! they have everything: cookware, utensils, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, basically everything you need! even though there was a bit dust inside the cupboard (behind the A/C machine), its not a big deal for me

Excellent hotel the suites are spacious and fully equipped with everything that you need for comfortable stay. The location is excellent. Just two blocks down to the tram system and one / two Streets down to 5th or 6th ave and you will find bus stops to take you anywhere you want to go and also plenty of shops and eateries. There’s a huge Dollarama one street down on 5th Avenue where you will find everything you could ever need. The staff are fantastic and a Taxi to and from the airport will run you about $55 in peak traffic definitely recommend this hotel for its amenities. / staff and location

I stayed for one night and worked well but recommend if you are staying for longer. Good location and full suite with fridge. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Had an interesting toilet which I feel might have doubled as a bidet. I was afraid to check though. All was good with the stay. Nice that they have parking onsite and the price is not ridiculous ($25 for day with in/out privileges)

Do not recommend staying here at all. I accidentally broke a glass dish in the kitchenette of my room and when I asked if someone could be sent to clean it up for me Mark from the front desk told me it would be taken care of due to the safety issue. I went out for just under an hour and when I returned to the property Mark told me the glass had been removed and introduced me to Emma Xu from housekeeping who had taken care of it. They then asked me to write a Google review for their property and requested I take pictures of their name tags to remember their names. When I returned to my room, most of the glass had been cleaned but there was a significant amount of glass remaining around and under table/chair legs, in corners, and on the couch. I went downstairs and notified Mark that there was still glass on the floor and he once again told me it would be taken care of. I returned over an hour later and I did not notice a difference in the amount of glass on the floor. This was unacceptable, lazy, and dangerous of them. I left in the morning at the end of my stay. The rooms are obviously not well maintained as it took over 10 minutes to get hot water the first time I used the shower, there was a significant amount of limescale in the dishwasher, and the bidet gives a musty odor every time the toilet is used. The lighting throughout was also very poor. Not a good use of my money, I expected better from a Coast Hotels property that is located in the downtown area of a major city

Right in the heart of Calgary, easy to move around.
Walking distance to Bow River
The front desk staff are super friendly & helpful, Ms Yunna, Gigi & Mark, they are the best employees.
Ms Gigi was upgraded me to King unit apartment.
The apartment is spacey, clean with tiny bathroom.
Kitchen amenities not meet my expectations, some missing items.
This is our 4th time we were stay at APA coast Calgary hotel
We will return again soon in near future
Highly recommended to stay in this hotel whenever you are visiting Calgary

Horrible and terrible for kitchen . I booked the suite with kitchen, but I found almost nothing in Kitchen. I asked the staff why, he told me they just image clients don’t cook , so they did not put kitchen stuff in kitchen. Another thing is there were 2 stoves does Not work out of 4, so I have to give up my food from supermarket, suffer from huge food loss or economic loss . Hopefully I can get compensation.

Enjoyed our stay, the room we had, had everything we needed and more.
We fortunate to be there for the hotels 4th anniversary and were invited to light refreshments which was a very kind gesture and truly appreciated.
As much as we would like to stay again, we probably won’t visit Calgary again, however I highly recommend to anyone, choose Coast Downtown, you won’t be disappointed.

The staff was lovely and the highlight of my stay. The building was worn down (old dirty rugs in the halls, for example, and old very loud air conditioner/heater in the bedroom). The room was clean and well organized, but smelled like cigarette smoke. The smell of cigarette smoke made the place seem stuffy. Perhaps I am sensitive to cigarette smoke. I felt over-charged for what I got.

Needed two night stay for work. Westin was my first choice to get Marriot points but was $700 per night for a regular room!!!! Went to Expedia to look in same area and came across the Coast. For an average of $210.00 night including parking i got a dedicated one bedroom with kitchen and sitting area. what value. you can tell the motel is abit older, some updates done, but that goes the same for Westin rooms. would HIGHLY recommend the Coast if staying downtown Calgary. good amenities and close to most things / places, Super friendly staff (front desk, cleaning staff). Great value.

Pretty decent traveler’s hotel that seems to cater to large tour groups. To-go options for breakfasts and the kitchen in our room was super convenient tho we didn’t use it. Parking was convenient on site, and it’s centrally located in downtown Calgary. The only downside was that our room was (I think) on top of a major machine room - so the floor and bed picked up the vibration throughout our stay, but we were tired enough it didn’t bother us much during our stay.

This is an older building but it has been updated and is in good condition. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The well-equipped fitness centre and the complimentary Starbucks coffee in the lobby were nice touches. I have no complaints!

Very nice spot, they had lots to offer for snacks foods and some produce.
Very friendly staff, the gal who checked me in was an absolute GEM of a human!
That is hospitality!
Room was nice and modern, great for a week stay and not eat out everyday, kitchenette comes with everything you need to feel at home!

Great value. Was a little concerned when we pulled up as the outside was a bit dated but inside felt freshly renovated. Booked a 2 bedroom. It included a full kitchen and dining table. Bathroom had a fancy bidet. Cons were poor soundproofing (I could hear every word of tv next door), the coffee table had a very wobbly leg, and it seemed like housekeeping didn’t vacuum/sweep floor. But easily overlooked for the price and space and accessibility to downtown tourist attractions.

Great location. Quiet, clean. Lots of space, full kitchen. 2 bedrooms were nice. Parking is $25 per day but convenient. Elevators were quick. Coffee mugs needed to be bigger (keurig overflow) but staff said they were planned to be replaced. Pillows could also be updated with different levels of firmness for different needs.

The outside of the building was quite dirty, which made it appear run-down. Once inside, the suite was large and appeared to be quite clean. I appreciated that there was a thermostat and an air conditioner so I could adjust the temperature for my comfort.

Unfortunately, the king mattress was soft and sagged in the middle on the side closest to the door, so I awoke with a sore back. Judging by how itchy my eyes were, there must have been a lot of dust mites too.

The faucet ran while the shower was on, which was another sign of maintenance needed. I was a bit freaked out by the elaborate bidet that sprayed a mist every time I sat down. It also heated the seat, which I associate mentally with a recent occupant, so that weirded me out. I didn't have the courage to try any functions besides turning the heat down.

Finally, the coffee maker wasn't smart enough to ignore an accidental second press on the "brew" button, so it overflowed and made a big mess.

Sorry didnt have Bfast but they have a free coffee in a nice room plus they sell items needed when you stay in hotels. Lucky for us that we always find the last space right by the back door of the Hotel. Staff in this Hotel are the Best! Friendliness, Knowledge
and give you the Best and Excellent Customer Service!

The room was ok. Having to pay $25 a day for parking was unexpected. After checking in around 6pm we found the toilet was broken. Calling down we were told the maintenance man has left and we had to listen to the toilet run all night. My wife called the next morning on when it would be fixed and was told they had not been told from the day before. They did fix it that afternoon. I would rate our stay as mediocre.

This location was fabulous for me for ubering around downtown. For example Superstore was a short ride away to stock up on food. The suite itself was great, I had basically everything I needed for a 4-day stay and I felt very comfortable. The staff were great also. For cleanliness it was pretty good. Overall I was very happy with my stay and would recommend.

Parking and entrance to hotel wasnt plowed, handicap door doesnt work, elevator is too narrow, we get to the room and kitchen was good, but theres no dining table nor any chairs in the room. I booked for a family of 4, only 2 was able to eat properly.

Lovely room. Right downtown. Pet friendly. Don’t expect a view or much light- our window was placed quite high up on the wall, but do expect good service and great convenience. We were surprised that our room had a kitchenette, including an apartment sized fridge and stove. Be prepared to pay extra for everything- parking, pet, and late checkout. Nothing is included. Overall pleasant stay.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel is well located downtown, making it easy to get around and access nearby restaurants and attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with good amenities for the price. Staff were friendly and check-in/check-out was smooth. While some areas feel a bit dated, everything was well maintained and functional. A solid option for a short stay in Calgary, especially if location and value matter.

The place was clean, beds good, mostly quiet. The bathroom was very small and smelled almost wet moldy kind of, but it was clean. I also don’t like the refillable shampoo, conditioner and soap but that’s my personal preference.
Over all it was good.
