The room was clean, great view, the bed was comfy, the hot tub on the balcony was a definite bonus. Restaurant staff were friendly and the food was delicious.

There is no phone connectivity from the room to the hotel reception. For in-room dinning we had to go to the reception and order there. The entry to the doom is very dark which is not a very impressive first impression. Restaurant is good though. Food is good quality. Our room says ocean view but not ocean at all.

Montville was an adventure. If one has a mobility limitation, getting around on the steep main street can be quite challenging. This was also true of the Altitude on Montville, which is built on a steep slope.
The room that is equipped for disabled access is beautiful. We'd have been very happy there, but it wasn't practical to use it because a power surge during a recent storm had killed the small lift that was needed to access the room.
We were given an alternate room that worked very well for us, and we are grateful that the property manager was so anxious to ensure that we were accommodated.
If you need to book the Accessible Room, phone the property to confirm that the lift is in working order. There is another work-around available, but it would be a spot of bother to use it and quite impractical for a solo traveler.

2 bedroom accomodation
Excellent property and charming little town. We slept well, had plenty of space, pretty quiet. The little fireplace is quite fun. Only the bathroom was a little cumbersome with shower glass being a tiny bit short so things got a bit wet unless you put a towel down. Overall though, would be very pleased to stay again.

Nice rooms. Beds were comfy, but doonas were gross. All the doonas had brown stains and marks on them. Our sheets had light black marks on the fitted sheet. Don't rely on any wifi connectivity as it is very limited. Good location though and good for a mini getaway.

Only issue was that there was no milk, and not a single plate in the place, had I wanted to have breakfast in my room. There were cups, a couple of glasses and wine glasses but other than that, 2 spoons and a fork but no plates or any other cutlery. I'm guessing that is being remedied

First impressions were disappointing as the room was not ready on arrival as on check in the reception staff realised it had not been cleaned and the staff had been sent home. It was very noisy due to the main road in front of property. There was a sign on the restaurant that it was shut the night we were there (a public holiday however it was a regular trading night) a courtesy email of this prior would have been nice. A note to elderly or those who struggle with steps...was unable to enter the property from the main street front or side Reception door after hours, so my elderly Mum had to climb a lot more steps to the room from the rear. Once inside the room there were a few more steps but no support railing, so best to check about accessibility on the room you book.
The second bedroom lacked light. The bathroom door had started to swell from moisture.

Relaxing stay and cosy fireplace with a nice view of the Sunshine Coast from the room. Walking distance from Montville and all the restaurants, cafes and shops. Modern appliances, kitchen and bathrooms. Although the hotels restaurant is not open every night, the Pub and grill (2 mins away) is delicious and you get a 10% discount.
