A fine hotel for one night.

This is a nice hotel in a cute city. We arrived after a long cycle and we’re disappointed that the restaurant was full. Luckily we heading into the town and discovered a fantastic pizza place with so much more character. The room was fine. We appreciated the patio door as we could park our bikes right outside our room. The shower was good. Our one issue was that it didn’t appear that the room had been dusted for a while. The table tops were dusty and when I went to retrieve something that I dropped under the bed….yikes!

Pleasant but small restaurant with a limited .

Breakfast was good nice choices, although breakfast rooms were very crowded and there was lots of queuing.

Would have been very good all over however I felt a bit let-down by the restaurant. On the second night I was told that there were no tables available even though I only needed 30-40 minutes most as a lone traveller. I said that I would happily eat in the bar (even through at the time the restaurant was less than half full) as the bar was all but empty. Apparently the kitchen couldn't cope with one more cover (which I find hard to believe) so as a fully paid guest I was turned away. The only solution offered was to walk into the town centre which is circa 30 minutes away so relatively impractical. Rooms clean, desk service excellent and, the following night, the food good too. Just a shame the second evening was a let-down.

We were very pleasantly surprised with how nice the place was. The breakfast is worth getting in your reservation. You will want to set your breakfast reservation in advance. The sauna can be booked in 40 minute increments and is reserved for your own group only. It is included im your reservation and a great way to start and end your day. The employees were all very friendly and helpful.

It was very clean , quiet and the receptionists were very nice. The only thing I had a problem with was that my phone charger (from US to Europe) didnt want to go in outlet because my transformer is big and the outlets are deep. Mostly the hotels I stay in have an USB charger somewhere. But i got it done in bathroom. Maybe they had a charger by reception but didnt ask.The shower by the way was awesome, lot of pressure, .And cant beat lacation.

Quiet hotel. Clean. When we checked out and asked for a taxi to take us to the train station, we found out that you have to request a taxi hours in advance in that neck of the woods. So the hotel manager rescued us and drove us there in his own car. That's going above and beyond!

Seems good hotel but we encountered PROBLEMS

1- The pool was smaller than expected.
2- The lighting in the room was very very low.
3- The Sauna and Steam rooms were not in the vicinity of the swimming pool.
4- MOST IMPORTANTLY, the HDMI cable connection to the TV caused us immense problems. We even reported to the reception who sent a person to check it out. He too couldn't find the 'source' button on the remote despite trying for half an hour. This was because the remote control in our room was a universal one, not specifically of the Philips make. He went and looked for a Philips remote control but couldn't find one, wasting more of our time. Eventually we had to work from the laptop in the poor & dim light.

- I did write an email to the hotel complaining about this and am awaiting a response. I will update the review based on the response I get.

While the rooms were very nice, and as a whole staff was courteous, the person at checkin was standoffish. She also said that breakfast wasn't included in our package. The good news is that we weren't charged for breakfast, the bad news is that we chose not to eat breakfast some days due to he high cost. Overall good place in a remote place.

Quiet hotel with easy access to main roads. Staff on reception were very helpful, but room cleaning wasnt very good, stayed 6 nights and maybe only hoovered floor twice. Had ground floor room with patio door to terrace with chairs, very pleasant. Lovely courtyard restaurant/bar area with comfy sofa and koi pond, very amiable for a beer in the evening! Would stay again despite the lack of cleaning.

I stayed here for one night on business recently having been offered a very keen price on hotels.com. Sadly I arrived late and left early so did not have an opportunity to eat dinner or breakfast. The hotel was easily found, not far from the motorway network and has ample free parking. The room was warm and the heating on when I checked in. It was very modern, well equipped and everything very clean. I will try to book this hotel again next time I am in the area.

Ok for the price

We booked 2 rooms for 5 days each. Our sheets visibly dirty after the first night were not changed and the floor not swept We called the front desk but at 9pm there was no housekeeping staff on duty. The 2nd night the sheets were still not changed even though we had asked for them to be changed. They had one of the waiters come up, after I requested sheets to change them myself, who changed the sheets. He was a great looking Dutch lad, however, it did not help my irritation. The room didn't have any air conditioning or ventilation so you had to open the windows but with no screens that means mosquitos at night. The night tables had a light but visible layer of dust on them. I took a picture of one of them - same in the kid's room. We had 2 coffee pkgs and when those were used they kept replacing them with coffee whitener (perhaps the housekeepers could read neither Dutch nor English, they spoke with a different accent). Our last night there they did not put a spare toilet paper roll in the bathroom - I usually don't look at that but with all the other issues with the room we were checking everything. I'm hoping they did the next day or I feel sorry for the people to have our room next. I'm thankful we brought our disinfectant wipes and cleaned the room when we first arrived. The breakfast was not worth the 15 euro price, not a lot of selection unless you're into 32 different types of bread.

Stayed with a colleague on a business trip. Studio rooms were large, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Dinner choice was limited but our food was excellent. Great buffet breakfast with perfectly cooked boiled eggs! The restaurant staff were helpful, attentive and friendly.

Het restaurant heeft an sich prima eten, maar de prijzen verschillen per dag voor dezelfde gerechten wanneer het druk is, waarbij de keuze minder is, voor vegetariers en vegans is er uberhaupt vrijwel geen aanbod.
Bediening en bereiding is erg traag (om 19.30 aan tafel met een reservering en pas om 21.00 een voorgerecht en 1e drankje zien).

Slaapkamers an sich relatief schoon, al hebben we een aantal zilvervisjes aangetroffen in het bed, wat niet optimaal is.

Dit hotel verdient duidelijk aan het event center vlakbij, want er is weinig keuze in dit gebied qua verblijf. Voor mij geen 3e keer. (Wij hoopte dat vorig jaar deze ervaring gewoon pech was, maar blijkbaar is dit de standaard

Un hotel 4 etoiles qui en fait moins. Le + sont la piscine et spa (le dernier que nous n’avons pas fait avec ma fille, car nu). Mais malheureusement la piscine un peu sale. Le service de menage dans les chambres, laissent aussi a désirer. La même tâche pendant 4 jours. Petit dejeuner ok et proche de l’autoroutes. Personnel plutôt accueuillant

Everything the hotel can influence deserves the full 5 star rating.

The reason 5 stars can’t be given is beyond their control: the smell. As is the case in so many locations in the area, the pervasive smell of some nearby pig feeding factory is omnipresent - even down to the spa and indoor pool in the basement.

It‘s not their fault, and everything else was great, but the smell of pigsty, even if from a distance, does make the stay less pleasant than it could be.

But with the NL government offering incentives for pig feeding factories to shut down, this may improve in the not too distant future.

We kwamen laat aan en moesten vroeg weg. Doordat het 24/7 bemand is, was dit een uitstekende gelegenheid.
Minpuntje: omdat mijn man invalide is, hadden we om een douche gevraagd. We kregen een bad. Dat wilden we juist niet. De kamer was ook ver lopen van de lift.

Alles in allem ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in dem Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. In dem Frühstücksraum als auch in der Bar wurde ich außerordentlich freundlich behandelt. Leider hat mir lediglich die arrogante Art und Weise ihres Rezeptionistin Laurenz nicht gefallen. Ansonsten alles in allem ein wunderbares Hotel mit einer sehr guten Lage.

Große Enttäuschung insbesondere beim Personal

Der Check in war unfreundlich und unkooperariv. Wir fragten, ob wir 90 Minuten vor der Check in Zeit schon aufs Zimmer dürfen, wurden aber abgefertigt das Zimmer sei noch nicht fertig. Wohlgemerkt hat man uns nicht nach unserem Namen oder unserer Reservierung gefragt. Da wir erst am Vortag gebucht hatten wissen wir, dass das Hotel in keinster Weise ausgebucht war. Im Zimmer war die Sauberkeit enttäuschend. An quasi allen Flächen gab es Rückstände von Flüssigkeiten. Bad, Wirlpoolwanne, Bett. Die Tür der Dusche öffnet nach innen, man muss sich also in eine Ecke quetschen und die Tür am Bauch entlangschleifen. Fehlkonstruktion. Es gab nicht eine einzige Flasche Wasser auf dem Zimmer. Die Terasse besteht aus 3 Reihen Bodenplatten einmal ums Hotel herum direkt gegenüber dem Parkplatz ohne Trennung zum Nachbarn. Im Zimmer nebenan feierten junge Leute bis Nachts um 3 eine Party auf der Terasse und im Zimmer. Wir haben selbst um Ruhe gebeten, ebenso haben wir 2 mal an der Rezeption angerufen und einmal persönlich mit dem Herrn gesprochen. Leider war dessen Eingreifen völlig wirkungslos. Als wir verlangten, das Dutzend Menschen, die nur zu Besuch waren, zu entfernen brachte man uns Ohrstöpsel. Absolut unprofessionell, die Höhe war der Spruch man hätte anderes zu tun als sich darum zu kümmern. Wenn ich ein Hotel buche, erwarte ich Sauberkeit und Ruhe zum Schlafen. Beides war nicht gegeben. Selbst die Handtücher sind fleckig. Frühstück durchschnittlich. Wellness alt.

Leider waren die Betten eine Katastrophe. Wir haben keine Nacht schlafen können.
Sauberkeit und Frühstück waren leider auch nicht so besonders. Das Personal war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Trotzdem hat dieses Hotel leider keine 4 Sterne verdient. Wir werden nicht mehr kommen. Hatten dort wegen der Nähe zu einer Veranstaltung gebucht. Sehr schade.

Er wordt vooraf bevestigd dat je kamer om 14.00 uur klaar is maar dit werd 15.00 uur. Jammer dit en niet nodig, daarna weer lang in de rij gestaan om het kamer pasje te krijgen. Dus 2 keer in de rij gestaan. De vitrage in de kamer zag er smerig uit. De bedden zijn wel aanzienlijk verbeterd.

Lot of noise from the nearby road in room 133. Seems to be comming from a ventilation hole in the door to the outside also then closed shut. Pool area with dirty changing rooms, no soap avaliable at shower, and no private showers, no towels or bathrobes avalible at pool/spa or in room. Ladder to pool moves quite a bit, doesn't feel to safe.
