Lovely hotel in the old part of Amersfoort - we couldn’t believe how close we were to the centre of town! Staff were very friendly and accommodating with our requests. Our two young boys loved climbing the typically Dutch stairs to our top floor room. Room itself had plenty of space. Just be aware that there is no mini fridge in the room (just some sort of ice box) which made it a little hard since we stayed for almost a week and couldn’t go out for every meal (kids!) and they have no laundry service available.
But I’d still highly recommend staying here.

Great friendly place. We had the room up in the roof with the wooden beams etc and a nice view over the local houses and the splendid magnolia in the back garden. Tasty breakfast. Handy for the historic town centre. Would highly recommend

Everything was great except for parking. It seemed as though parking isn’t even a consideration. I had to park nearly a half mile away in an expensive parking garage. I felt like my questions about parking were received as a surprise. Am I the only person who drives across Europe?

I made a reservation through Expedia at this hotel on 7/22. Nowhere was it mentioned that it was a non refundable reservation. I called the hotel 2 days after I made the reservation on 7/24 through Expedia to cancel my reservation for Aug 18 because the visa got denied. With no visa to travel there was no way I could go to stay. Expedia tried to convince the hotel but they would not budge. The management and owner are thieves waiting to take whatever money they can. Do no book at this hotel. Industry standards are if you cancel within 48 hrs and even if they have to charge a cancellation fees it must be 1 might R&T... but this hotel took the

Friendly hotel. Boutique, high quality feel. Top floor family room intermittently noisy with plant machinery, though no air con, but earplugs provided, and it was October, so no big deal. Great location for exploring a really nice Dutch town. Convenient for cheese shops!

Perfect place to stay. Under 5 mins walk from the centre of Amersfoort and easy to find. Easy and polite/friendly check in. The room had coffee and tea facilities and a great bathroom with a powerful shower. We didn't have breakfast but the room looked amazing.

The next morning we noticed our kettle was filthy, we asked for a new one if possible. Instead of being accommodating they made a fuss, then charged us 2 euros each for a tea.. We waited over 2hrs and no tea.
We made a complaint and asked if we could definately get it for the following morning, the receptionist said yes.
Our room was also very cold and our radiator was not working. We told management and all they said was the heating was on 24hrs instead of actually coming out to check 2 out of 4nights into my stay, we told the receptionist which she came to our room & explained the problem to us. In which the radiator valve was reversed.
Over all service was not good from management, 2 members of the staff were lovely though and went out of their way for us.

In the middle of the historic centre of the adorable Dutch city Amersfoort, a few buildings from the seventeenth century have been restored and converted into a charming hotel. Overall, this transformation was a great success, but your reviewer had reserved a single room, and that was a serious mistake. So tiny that there was no place to hang one's clothes, with a bathroom featuring a tiny baptismal font where one would have hoped for a sink -- and no place to leave one's shaving gear or toothbrush. The double rooms, it seems, are generous.
An excellent breakfast soothed the ruffled feathers - in the best Dutch tradition, a brunch for all practical purposes. Gentle service.

A very pleasant stay, the only issue being that there was no 'do not disturb' sign, so when we stayed in our room on a rainy day, the housekeeping lady knocked on our door every half an hour or so.

I've stayed here many times on business as it's a nice little hotel with very friendly staff.
The only issue I had on this trip was it was very hot in the room due to the extreme weather going on outside but this was rather beyond their control and adding aircon to such an old building really wouldn't be feasible.
I did have the option to go and sit in the garden when there wasn't a thunderstorm going on!

Very handy for link to train station. Staff very friendly and helpful and room was clean and tidy and bed very comfortable. Excellent for local restaurants and pubs as it is in the heart of the city. Just wish I had more time to explore the city.

Good hotel, although it has a steep staircase and no lift. The room layout was a bit awkward with 90% of the desk space being taken up by an old CRT TV and nowhere sensible to sit and watch it from. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is very close to the town centre with good secure parking just a couple of minutes walk away.

Just a few minutes walk and we were in the town, where there were many places to have a good meal. Wij hadden 3 kamers geboekt. Bij 1 kamer viel de klink vd badkamerdeur op 1 kamer lagen nog etenswaren van vorige bezoekers in de koelkast. Alle 3 de kamers waren niet schoon. Badkamers waren bij alle kaners de vloeren vies plus de douchecabines, toilet en/of wasbak vieze kringen. Kamers en vooral kamer aan de straatkant ( nr 1) heel erg stoffig. Je kon je naam schrijven in het stof bij het raam, luxaflex en de klok.

Je n'ai pu profité de cet hôtel car il était fermé. J'ai donc eu une problématique véhicule alors ça à pris du temps . Il ne m'en même pas appeler histoire de savoir si je viendrais quand même ou pas ... Bref ! C'était fermer à mon arrivé. J'ai pu joindre à 21h le concierge par téléphone. Nice historic location, nice small place to stay with perfect location. Nice cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was cozy and clean, although deluxe means more that you have your own bathroom :) Very friendly staff, nice inner yard. It was a pitty that one could not eat any own snacks or drinks in the inner yard though, since the selection in the hotel menu is rather limited.
