Great location, walkable from Hilvsrsham Sportpark Station . Direct train from Schiphol. 10 min walk into the centre of town with numerous restuarants and bars.

Cute from the outside, but outdated and musty. Not what you'd be looking for in a 4-star hotel.
Carpet is definitely in need of changing.
Bathrooms are renovated, but shower heads are crusty; not an appealing shower.
Staff is nice and accommodating.
Overall, was expecting much better.

Well placed hotel peace ful but close to centre, staff are very Pleasant, nothing too much for you.
Room was comfortable but when we split the beds for twin room the floor under the beds was filthy and hadnt been cleaned for months, apart from that the rest was clean and tidy, i would stay again

Everything about my stay was fine (this is my second time at this property), except for the fact that the shower overflowed twice since the drain wasn't working. This caused water to cover the bathroom floor and even seep out onto the hallway carpet. After the first time I complained, and the front desk said it would be fixed. The next morning it happened again. Upon checkout, I mentioned it to the receptionist, who apologized profusely and said the problem simply couldn't be fixed, and she offered me a free breakfast as compensation. But since I was in a rush to get to catch my flight home, I declined. Overall, a fine hotel and well worth the cost.

It is easy to park the car at the hotel. It is free as well. We have booked a room with three beds. It is spacious for twee adults with one child. It would be better to have ventilation in the bathroom to get fresh air.

Our family of 4 stayed at the hotel while visiting family .
The hotel was clean cheerful and the rooms were extremely functional. The beds were comfortable and the area was quiet . Our only suggestion is that the price of breakfast should be reduced in cost a little. 66 euros for two children and 2 adults added a significant amount to our cost . We definitely would stay again but have breakfast in one of the lovely cafes close to the hotel.

It was too noisy due to the school next door. Kids started yelling at 8 am until sunset (10 pm). The location is perfect; 2 minutes walk to train, 15 minutes walk to center. All staff were friendly and helpful but I need to mention Ilsa seperately. She finds quick solutions. The hotel doesn’t have a generator, one day current gone nearly half an hour. They don’t have mini bar in the rooms and room service works until 10 pm. After that time you can’t find anything in the hotel. Cleaners do not clean the coffee/tea cups during the stay. They only fix your bed and leave. Also not a big deal but I noticed the electric switch for the bathroom stays behind the door when you open the door. First few days I forgot to turn it off. If you could change the switch the other side where customers can see you might save some electricity.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now, so I thought I knew what to expect. However, the ground floor room 119 is not for me! It's so tight space that I could not walk at the foot of the twins beds put together, with a small case without picking it up, & walking side ways. I'm not one for making fuss, so didn't asked to be moved because overall the room was clean & the bed was ok. Plus, once passed the twin beds. The room opened in to like a 'C' shaped room but just narrow! Plus, there was a 3rd single bed in the room, but I would not be happy to put a child in that bed where it was positioned, which was under a wall mounted TV. It just felt the dynamics of the room was not the best & if I was offered that room again, I would ask for a different room!

Well situated hotel in need of renovation. Triple room stank of stale smoke. So badly it was in the back of my throat even in the morning. Breakfast had a good choice but cooked was poor. Free parking. Deserved 2.5 stars not 4. Over priced. Would not stay here again for 130 euros.

The hotel is great but the rooms are so hot even with radiator turned fully off - we had to open the window on a cold autumn night in order to get to sleep - Also I cannot understand why Dutch hotels do not have double beds it’s also 2 singles pushed together which is fine if you want to keep clear of your partner - not so great for us spooners

It was a very pleasant stay. Our food in the restaurant was a long time after we had ordered. The pillows were uncomfortable causing a crick in the neck, very lumpy pillows. The room was dimly lit with a table lamp lacking a socket to plug it into! We absolutely roasted as the thermostat was not obvious and tucked away in a corner in the shower room. The room was noisy from some sort of unit outside,probably from the air conditioning unit.

Great location to escape the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. Easy access via train to Amsterdam city or RAI for conferences. Many great restaurants and pubs within a 10min walk of the hotel into Hilversum centre. Newly renovated rooms and a great breakfast spread.

A landmark in Hilversum. Pity that management has not invested on the room upgrades which are badly needed. Having visited the property since 2008, staff and service have been good. Facilities, not so much.

Great location and free parking in Hilversum!

Selected this hotel because of proximity to family for Easter visit. Easy to get to, free parking, good size room, very comfortable bed, a bit dated bathroom, windows open for fresh air. Looks like a very fine somewhat old fashioned family hotel. Will most certainly return when we're in Hilversum again. Did not have breakfast but buffet looked very good and extensive.

20min away, and a great escape from the manic heart of the Amsterdam Centre. Great location in a calm and leafy neighbourhood, with all the restaurants and nightlife of Hilversum an easy 10 min walk down the road. Great breakfast offering, bike hire available, friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again.

Nice hotel in a great area. Staff was very friendly and helpful, providing maps and directions of the area. Room was small, definitely not luxury but if your looking for a nice place to stay for a good price, this is a good hotel. It was only a 3-5 min walk from the train station and about a 25 minute train ride from Amstersam. City of Hilversum is a very nice city. Would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed here a number of times. This is definitely not the fanciest place you can stay... I'd say it is more functional than comfort oriented. The rooms are decorated with Ikea furniture. There are little to no amenities in the bathrooms. The beds are passable, and they're certainly not Westin's heavenly beds. I do keep coming back here because it's conveniently located. They have easy off road parking that is free, and it is about 5 minutes from the highway and the office that I need to visit. It's also a very easy walk to the center of town or to the local train station. The hotel restaurant is good and the service is always very friendly. I also find that its a pretty good value for the price. If you're looking for luxury, this isn't your place. If you're looking for a clean and convenient hotel with friendly service, you should consider staying here.

A short walk to the train

The hotel was wonderful. The location was great, though if you're travelling by train without a pass, you will lots of change. The system doesn't take credit/debit cards or paper currency, so have lots of coin available or ask for it at the desk before you leave.The area is lovely. Quiet, near a little park. PArking is free, and this is important, as we found most places in Holland charge about 25 Euros per day.The breakfast was not included, but we were happy to pay for it. The continental breakfast was very good. Staff friendly and spoke English. The hotel is very well suited for business travellers.

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times, mainly for convenience than comfort. The service is very good, and the staff is helpful and friendly. They have plenty of parking, and it's a short walk to the center of town, the train, and plenty of restaurants. The rooms are decorated with Ikea furniture. It's functional, but don't expect luxury.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the food in the restaurant was very good, and the staff was friendly. The furnishings are dated and the room is a bit small. Quiet neighborhood, very clean and safe, and about a .5 walk to town for restaurants, movies, shopping. About a mile from the train station.

Only bad thing about this hotel is that room 117 was cold - the window didn’t close properly and the bathrooms in both rooms iwere very cold and so was the breakfast room the second morning
Would stay here again but only if the weather was better and warmer.
