11/10 amazing stay!! The location is absolutely perfect, only steps away from the Domkerk and Don Tower. Also very close to the Hoog Catharijne Mall and Utrecht Centraal Station. This was perfect for us as we could easily take day trips to nearly every town and city in the country! The hotel is kept very cozy, clean, and safe. The staff, especially Ana, were extremely kind and helpful. We had some payment issues and she helped get it sorted out immediately! We stayed for 8 nights and could not have chosen a better place to stay. I will definitely be coming back!

Excellent place to visit Utrecht. Close to station 10 mins walk. Nice room, shower good, comfy bed, all kept clean. Always help on the desk if required. Even though right in the centre the room was quiet at night. Excellent bars and restaurants near by. This was our second visit and glad we did.

Close to the train station and all shops, restaurants, etc. We loved the area. The layout of the hotel, with a lounge on each floor, was good. The room was small, which one wouldn’t have noticed as much if there had been a few shelves and hooks installed in the entrance area of the room. Then the clutter wouldn’t have been concentrated in the sleeping area. And we would have used the lounge area for, you know, lounging, relaxing, computer time, etc., but the piped-in sound was too loud, and sooo not to our taste. And it started early in the morning! I did complain about this, and one day it ceased for a while. Such a relief. I realize the place is going for a cool vibe, but peace and quiet is what most travellers need when they’re been on the move all day or are getting their day started.

Honestly didn’t expect much considering it’s right in the city and I just needed to stay one night. But it was super convenient to parking garage and station. Next to the Dom! Right in the middle of everything you want to see in Utrecht. And surprisingly while my room was facing a usually busy street, it was quiet in the room! Was so happy with that. I felt it was spacious enough for me (although if you’re with other people having the toilet right there and the sink is in the room, I would upgrade for a larger room). Staff were amazing and kind. Hotel is just beautiful, I did not find any flaws.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hunfeld. The hotel was located 10 minutes walk from the central train station of Utrecht. It was right in the heart of things in there Utrect with restaurants and bars right outside your door and a 5 to 6 minute walk to all the major attractions and canals. There was a lounge that was accessible with coffee and tea and hot chocolate all day long. It was nice to have another spot to go and read a book or get some work done.
The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. I can’t think of anything negative about this hotel. There was also a very good elevator, which is hard to find sometimes in the Netherlands.
The shower was very good, which is always a plus.

Our room in the Hunfeld was comfortable and nicely equipped. Plenty of room to unpack and store our clothes. The bed was very comfortable as well. We liked the room layout with the separate toilet area and sink and shower in the room. The shower was generously sized for a European bathroom. The location is excellent for sightseeing, shopping and dining. Everything is easily walkable from the hotel and the walk to the train station was also easy even with suitcases.

Lack of communication about painting
Lovely hotel in a perfect location. We were so excited about our stay and that our room had balcony seating, allowing for a relaxing place to people watch and enjoy the location while winding down each day. Unfortunately on arrival we noticed scaffolding surrounding the building and the following day the whole building was enveloped to prepare for painting! Very soon we realized that we’d have to remain with curtains fully drawn in our room so that workers could not stand/look directly in our room and that our balcony was useless. The staff were very accommodating and supported our request to check out early into a partner hotel. Ideally, the hotel should have notified us about the painting well before our arrival. They were dealing with many very upset clients who were also in similar suites.

What a treat it was to stay here for a few days while exploring Utrecht. 10 minute walk from Utrecht Centraal. Super friendly and helpful staff, and a large, comfortable room. Located 5 minutes from the Dom Tower in a pedestrian zone, the whole area is very walkable. Highly recommended!

Fantastic location. Even though my room faced the street there was absolutely no noise through the windows. Room was very plush. Option to not have your room cleaned everyday which is very enviro sensible. Staff delightful. Coffee machine in the room was a bonus! On first night there was a slight smell in the room from the drain but what do you expect given your historic location. You don’t notice it after a short time. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and recommend it to anyone for a short stay in the amazing Utrecht!!

Instead of a buffet with a good selection of dishes, the staff bring out a tray of their choice of offerings that were below the pevel of quality I associayte with most Dutch hotels. And only one kind of jam was available, which is genuinely disappointing.

Hotel was in a perfect location for shops and restaurants and only a short walk from the train station. Staff were extremely friendly and the booking in/out process easy. Room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. Shampoo and body wash supplied as well as a good hairdryer. Was not keen on the room coffee, but took my own so wasn’t a problem. Would definitely stay again.

The Hunfeld is very well situated being near the centre of old Utrecht and within easy walking distance of the station. It has quite an arty feel about it and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The only downsides: would have preferred not to have had the washbasin within the bedroom and for the price I would have expected things like tissues to be available in the room. Although I liked the breakfast tray, I would have preferred to have had fresh coffee available at breakfast rather than having to get it from a machine. Fresh milk was available but we had to ask for it.

This is the perfect hotel. It’s so interesting but the location location location is the main thing it’s right in the heart of the city center. So many shops and restaurants. Definitely booked this hotel if you’re in the area. Super friendly staff one of the best showers I’ve ever had.

We stayed only one night due to a change in our plans. We like a boutique hotel near the train and city center. This one met both requirements once we found our way from the train station. We checked into the suite and were surprised to find a shower in the corner of the room such that you has outside windows. :). Worth getting the suite. The staff at the front desk recommended an excellent hidden gem restaurant. We are breakfast here too and enjoyed a smorgasbord of selections.

Stay was okay however we had higher expectations. Service was cold and it felt as if the associates hearts weren't into the operation.
Example, we were told nothing about the hotel, breakfast or area when we arrived, only given room keys, one of which didn't even work. The lack of staff interaction was especially odd considering there was 4 employees hanging out at reception desk.
Lots of hair and dust in the room plus we even had cobwebs hanging from the shower ceiling. Only one small table in the room to set things down, not even bedside tables for water glasses or a cell phone. One of the window shades in the room was broken and would not retract. The bed however was great and the bedding was plush and clean.

Overall, stay was just okay but if we were back in the area we'd probably choose a different place to stay.
Example, we were told nothing about the hotel, breakfast or area when we arrived, only given room keys, one of which didn't even work. The lack of staff interaction was especially odd considering there was 4 employees hanging out at reception desk.
Lots of hair and dust in the room plus we even had cobwebs hanging from the shower ceiling. Only one small table in the room to set things down, not even bedside tables for water glasses or a cell phone. One of the window shades in the room was broken and would not retract. The bed however was great and the bedding was plush and clean.

Really stylish hotel right where you want to be in Utrecht. Although we were only a couple of steps from everything, we found it very quiet and cosy and got a great rest while we were there.

Hotel location is great and it’s stylish but lacks some basics and there were some weird things.

Now for the odd stuff:
1) The shower head started dripping water around 7am. It woke me up since the shower is part of the main room. My best guess is that the hotel guest on the floor above took a shower and the water drained partially into our shower. Reception offered us to change rooms but as we were only there for one night this didn’t make sense.
2) When we arrived, the room thermostat was set to cooling. We switched it to heating. When we did this we immediately noticed a smell. Not a bad smell but a strong air freshener smell. We thought it would pass but it didn’t. It kept smelling this way all night while the heat was on. It really bothered us.
3) They don’t offer Netflix but they do offer pairing and mirroring for streaming. We couldn’t get this to work w/ Apple devices. We’re tech savvy and tried multiple times w/ different devices. It didn’t work. Our only choices were Dutch TV, YouTube or GooglePlay (pay).
4) No decaf coffee pods in the room. Had to ask for them. Then realized there was no creamer or powered milk either. We gave up and went out for coffee.
