The hotel was modern, clean and welcoming. The room was a great size with great facilities. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The only thing that could have been improved was the size of the third bed. It was quite small and low for a third adult.

Nice hotel, however the toilet in our room continuously ran, it was like water torture so we had to make sure the bathroom door was closed. The headboard has lights built in, however if you look at the indent between the wall and the headboard, the area is filled with dust (my daughter found this out exploring). The mattress is ok, not the most comfortable. AC in Europe just isn’t the same as home in the states. Also the gym doesn’t have wet wipes to sanitize equipment. The hotel is a 20 min walk to the historic area, however 10 minutes of this is walking by the central train station and a mall. Nice hotel, friendly staff.

We had a connecting family unit on the 12th floor. As we walked in, one of the two connecting rooms had a very strong musty smell. We complained to the reception and they were above and beyond accommodating. They took me to look at the same set of rooms one floor below, but it had the same musty/damp smell. The manager then took me to another set of rooms on a different side of the building, but one of those rooms smelled like sewer. At that point, I decided to stay in our initial room because there was no sense in changing one stinky room for another.

I had a very poor sleep because the strong smell kept waking me up, and at the same time I got stuffy nose. When that happened I knew it was mold, upon closer look I found a lot of mold around windows (pictures attached). Real health hazard!!!

So the second day, we informed the reception. Again, the amazing staff helped us find different rooms, and provided us with the breakfast voucher. However, one of the new rooms still had some sort of smell, and unfortunately having experienced how unsafe the place is in terms of air quality, I could not enjoy my stay. The reception did tell us that they experience problems with sewer smells, but assured me that no one ever complained about the mold. I just don’t see how this could be true provided the large overgrowth of mold on the walls.

So, despite the amazing staff and great location, I will not be returning to this hotel, unfortunately.

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast buffet had lots of delicious options, check-in was quick, luggage storage felt very safe, our rooms were well-appointed and the floors were quiet. The only negative would be the torn pleather headboards on the bed. Looks like a cat got a hold of them. For such a nice looking hotel, they should be tended to.

Excellent staff and room!
Little candies offered, and tasty water on a heat wave hitting Netherlands.

The only issue to speak of was that during this heat wave the AirCon could only reach a maximum low temp. of 18 degrees.
-This issue isn't something that's going to impact others, given the heatwave, but it made things in the room sweatier than we expected. 🙏

This property provided welcome drinks and fruit which was daily, freshly made orange or mint with lime drink and for hot drink chocolate / mint tea . Fruit tangerine which was great.

A perfect weekend trip.

We travelled to Utrecht for the half-marathon, and found the hotel to be perfectly situated, both for transport links and for sightseeing on foot. It was comfortable and clean, the service was good, and the breakfast was excellent.

We got a huge discount, courtesy of some Tesco Clubcard vouchers, and were pleased with how well it worked out.

We had a great stay. Everything was smooth with check in and there was a room available for us early in the morning on our arrival. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly and always had time to chat. The location of the hotel was excellent for train links and to get into the centre of Utrecht. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, everything is perfect. The location is in the heart of the city, a few meters from the train station and very close to everything you may need. The staff are very nice, friendly, and helful, they do everything to make your stay comfortable. The housekeeping is perfect, the restaurants are fine and tasty food. The front desk staff are very kind. I couldn't find anything negative to talk about. I just left the hotel yesterday but started thinking of my next stay there. I recommend it strongly if you are looking for a best place to stay in utrecht

The first room I was given had a water leak. I was given a new room immediately without any fuss; and a complementary dink at the bar.
The room was spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was the usual all you can eat continental Buffett.

Excellent hotel! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and couldn’t do enough. We did not eat in the hotel but the food seemed good. The room was large and clean. We decided to do the self clean option which meant we didn’t have our room cleaned every day, this was to be eco-friendly, and as a reward the hotel would give you a voucher for a drink every day you did self clean! Very happy with our stay and will be returning to this hotel!

This hotel is right near the train station (no noise) and a small walk to the heart of the city or the old section so it was very convenient. Staff were very helpful, room for 3 was spacious, clean, good beds and sheets and the bathroom was clean and good. The breakfast buffet was amazing - large selection of all types of fresh foods. I would definitely stay here again - all the amenities of a new hotel with a good location to shopping mall and the old town section.

Average stay this time.

I stayed in this hotel 2 years ago and since then it seems to have deteriorated. We had to book last minute as our flight was cancelled. Check in wasn't allowed until 5pm whereas other hotels are at 3pm. One member of staff on the reception was quite condescending not only towards us but also towards her colleagues. We were given a receipt for the deposit and when I asked for a receipt at check out for the payment for the room I was told because we had booked with Expedia we couldn't have one. I explained this was thr first time I had ever been told this and regularly book with Expedia and hotels have always given me a receipt. In fact my previous stay at this hotel had been booked with Expedia and I had had a receipt from them. I kept being told it wasn't possible to which I disagreed but they were adament I had to take this up with Expedia. The room was a good size but not as clean as I would expect, the floor clearly had not been vacuumed/cleaned as when i walked around it felt gritty and my feet became dirty. The bathroom was clean but the extractor fan did not work. Same as last time! The entrance to the hotel is also not very pleasant. I appreciate it is a busy area but having to walk through people smoking right outside the entrance was very nasty and cigarette ends thrown outside was horrid. Yuck.

The Friendliest Stylish Hotel to be at in Utrecht

I initially stayed with my daughter. We had an unfortunate situation where my daughter found a dead fly in her salad, when mentioned to the restaurant. They compensated us with a main meal as a goodwill.
Whilst on my stay in Utrecht, I have since rebooked 3 x times in the same room, continuously, which the hotel were able to accommodate. They went out of their way on many occasions to make my stay comfortable.

Nice room, staff were helpful, the hotel is in a great location if traveling by train and easy to find. The only slight disappointment was the quality of the tea and coffee making facilities in the room, as these were not to the standard we experienced the night before in a similar priced 4 star hotel, just a small detail that could have been done a bit better.

Hotel close to train station and local restaurants
No parking on site 30euro for over night parking.
No heat in room / hotel is still working on this / I visit October 31/ hotel did provide a small heater wich was nice but at the price we paid I wouldn’t stay here again / I’m a bit disappointed at this NH location .
