The hotel is conveniently located within a short walk to both the train station and the town center. The air conditioning worked very well, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and there was ample parking available.

Cons:
The rooms are quite dated, and the shower consistently overflowed, leaving the bathroom floor wet. While the rooms were tidied daily, they were not thoroughly cleaned — we had to request fresh towels, and the bedding was never changed during our stay. The gym is outdated and only accessible between 08:00 and 22:00. Additionally, amenities were very limited (e.g., no ice machine or in-room fridge).

The staff are excellent and helpful.

Some of the equipment in the gym is broken so limited especially if there’s more than 1 person in the gym.

Breakfast items can sometimes be a bit dry from being left out. The fruit was also old but other than that it’s a fine stay and very convenient for getting on the motorway.

We were visiting family who live nearby and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The rooms were large, comfortable and clean with plenty of hot water and little extra touches throughout.
The food at breakfast was delicious and loads of choice even for us fussy Brits !!
But best of all was the staff who were so friendly and helpful throughout our whole stay.
If we return to visit we will definitely book another stay.

We stay a couple of night on Sept. 2024 for a business hotel because the free parking and location to the freeway. But the room was small for a double room, the pillows really bulky and uncomfortable, we requested a thinner ones, and were never delivered. The TV audio did not work. The light in the bathroom is really low. We would not stay again in this hotel quality-price not worth it.

I will avoid this hotel chain !

The reception area looks great nice exterior but once you enter the room its is smaller than a Budget Ibis Hotel ... very disappointing. Twin room with one large towel and three hand towels for two adults. I asked at reception for two extra pillows but was told that the hotel \"was out of pillows \" and it was not possible. At check out I was asked out my stay when I discussed pillows I was informed they \" only have 3 or 4 spare in the hotel \" ...unbelievable !!! and for the towel situation ...\"that was normal \"

I will not stay in this chain of hotels again, save 25 euros off a Van Der Valk but this was a big mistake from myself.

Response from staff was very disappointing ... they have hundreds of chairs in lobby and publics spaces, 100's !!! but only three / four spare pillows.

Arrogance from staff that I would be so rude as to request extra pillows !

A convenient location if you are travelling by car, it’s a long walk from Bunnik Station and not friendly for those walking. Rooms were comfortable and clean, food at the restaurant excellent, but the service was not attentive in the bar / dining area (staff often talking to each other and checking their phones rather than looking out for guests). When you had their attention, service was very friendly and helpful. Overall, better value than staying in Utrecht Central, but not as convenient unless travelling by car.

Pleasant stay. Avoid restaurant meal deal

Standard room, tv didn't work, restaurant food ok, the pre bought 2 course meal thing was a nightmare as you pay at check in don't get a ticket or anything to prove you have bought it. Found out half way through meal i shouldn've had a different menu. All a bit awkward. Hotel room and ensuite nice enough as was breakfast.

The ones that do work especially in banquets or conventions act like the coffee/ tea police ( woman with short hair and yellow jacket)
If they could they would send you to a concentration camp for sitting in the wrong spot of the hotel yet they have no visible signage. Plus a saw a mouse

An old hotel which has been modernized in the main areas. Very nicely done.
However the guest rooms are still ‘old’. We visited for 3 nights in summer and all the guest rooms were stifling hot (we were offered to change room, but it was just as hot). We had to try to sleep with the window open. Explanation was that the whole hotel has one air conditioning system. Bathroom had a vent but no fan, so all the warm, steamy air would escape into the bedroom.
Our bathroom sink was completely clogged and did not drain at all, something you would think the cleaning crew would have noticed…?
Fantastic breakfast, and extremely nice and helpful staff!

Good price/quality stay close to Utrecht NL

Very good price quality (mainly business) hotel in Bunnik, a taxi ride away from beautiful Utrecht NL. Rooms are nice and spacious, breakfast is good as well. Only remark is that beds are too soft to my liking.

It was \"not-so-good\" - there were a number of little problems... There were a number of small things broken in the room: the reading lamp hanging off, the window latch, the TV remote. I did go to the reception to get the remote batteries changed but the lady wasn't very happy and told me if it still doesn't work not to call reception on the phone as she won't be coming to the room.
The service in the restaurant was rather strange - I asked to see the menu and was told to sit down anyway because the menu was \"in the other end of the restaurant\". Service was slow and and food is very overpriced for the quality and quantity.
The breakfast was great.

The bathroom is a curious combination of modern and ancient with a glass screen(modern) in the shower along with a curtain(ancient) which allows water all over the bathroom floor. The walls could do with a good clean. The internet connection was non existent despite having 2 possible options to connect. Staff not bothered.

Nice hotel, although more of a conference centre, a few miles from Utrecht but easy access by the 41 bus. Bed is too soft for me and the room warm even with the window open but otherwise no complaints. Very good value on a Sunday night.

Inexperienced staff, a lot of young staff at reception, bar and restaurant. Although overal friendly not trained enough to offer a good service with no experienced staff to help them. With only a handfull of customers in the restaurant complete chaos and complaints from diners. Even working the coffee machine seemed to be a big issue. Not really the fault of the staff, there should be a senior person on hand.

The restaurant service was very good, the food unfortunately not so much but decent, soup could have been hotter. Sadly, my bed sheet was torn and nobody bothered to change it, although I left the teared part visibly open. The mattress was a little too soft for my taste.

Good for Business travel for 1 or 2 days.

The rooms are big, but not for more than just sleeping in. Wifi in the room was not stable enough to hold a VOIP call for more than 5 min straight. Breakfast was not good - warm breakfast was served cold several days and juice selection is quite poor for the price tag. Dinner also falls below expectations - ate at restaurant 2 nights in a row and both were disappointing. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful despite the issues presented. Would recommend for short stays (1-2 nights) and would recommend to avoid the restaurant and breakfast buffet.

The hotel is OK, but a few things in our room were quite disappointing: The window did not close properly, we heard our neighbors having sex, the mattress was very worn out and the bathroom was not properly cleaned. Wouldn't come again.

Brilliant hotel for a business meeting

This is an excellent hotel for a business meeting. The service is great, both for the meeting rooms and for the accommodation, although be prepared to ask for hairdryers, irons etc. when you arrive as they are not included as standard in the room. The bedroom was comfortable. The restaurant was good with a reasonable menu. The meeting service is outstanding, with everything you might need. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you have a car. My only two negative comments are about the neighbourhood, which is a bit barren if you want to go for a walk, and the picture on hotels.com which implies it's on one of Utrecht's pretty canals. This is not the case: it's about 20 minutes out of Utrecht centre. But the hotel itself is great.

Nothing like the photograph

The hotel is a very modern well appointed place to stay. The only problem we had to begin with was it was nothing like the photograph on the web site. From the photograph on the web site, we were expecting an old traditional hotel in the centre of the city. The actual hotel is ultra modern located six miles from Utrecht city centre

Lovely hotel - but noisy motorway alongside

The hotel and all of the staff are excellent. This is a very business orientated hotel, and so provided many additional facilities and touches. The only negative is that I had asked for a \"quiet room\" but by the time I went up to bed, I had already unpacked and was very tired due to travelling all day - and so did not mention the road at the time as I anticipated the noise ceasing around 11pm. HOWEVER - the traffic went on ALL night - I was awoken several times during the night due to the size and volume of constant traffic. Better windows with double glazing would be goo.

All right, but more for a business trip

Difficult to find, hotel sign not clearly visible, as there was an enormous advertisement for dish-washer tablets outside, so I thought that it was an office or the like.
Food was good quality but not what I'd call good value for money, so all right if you were charging your costs to business.
Is it a hotel or a business/conference centre?
However, as above, all standard features were fine

The hotel does exactly as advertised, and is a fairly cheap place to stay only a few minutes on the train from utrecht, and a 2 km walk from Bunnik train platforms.
Although the hotel states that all rooms have balconies, this is untrue, and the window in our room only opened by 20 cm at most!

Great Hotel,, Great Price

We booked this hotel as it was the cheapest in Utrect for an exhibition we wanted to attend. It really excelled our expectations and I would throughly recommend this to others. It is close to a railway station that has a train every half hour into the centre of Utrect which takes just 7 minutes. It is close to the motorway so if you prefer to sleep with the window open the noise may trouble you but despite our room being near to the motorway we couldn't hear any traffic with the windows closed. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good considering it was included in the price.

Die Unterkunft hat einen guten Standard, es gibt nichts Wesentliches zu bemängeln. Beim Frühstück könnte es durchaus mehr Auswahl (z.B. Wurst, lokale Spezialitäten) geben, aber es war in Ordnung. Das Personal ist kinderfreundlich (wir waren mit einem Kleinkind da). Es gibt mit einem Fußweg von ca. 10-15 Minuten 3-4 Restaurants zu erreichen.

Kamer 109: douche staat met open kant veel te dicht op toiletpot, alles wordt zeiknat ook vloer waardoor het glibberig wordt, ruimte is te krap. Kamer was erg gehorig, elke stap, actie om ons heen was duidelijk hoorbaar, ook hardlopen over gang boven ons. Matrassen niet stevig, lage rugpijn bij het opstaan.
