The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The television was smaller than was advertised on the picture; not a big deal, just unexpected. We found the towels lacking (no wash cloths). Make sure you make reservations for the restaurant, especially for dinner.

We enjoyed the convenience of having everything accessible however the beds were super uncomfortable. We had loud guests next door (thin walls) which made it nearly impossible to sleep. Also, the cooling system also never seemed to work properly. Lastly the parking was a bit confusing however resolved at check-in.

Comfortable and pleasant business visit

We were very impressed with the hotel, everywhere was very clean, the staff were very accommodating in requests and helped us book taxis etc.
The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean with everything you needed.
The bar/restaurant area is very nice too with a good selection of food and drinks, the meals were also very tasty and reasonably priced.
The only small flaw is the gym is tiny and not air conditioned.
Great stay and would definitely recommend.

When arriving go straight at the back for the parking garage. The entry boom will just open en register your license plate. When in the parking follow the signs for Fletcher parking. If you have luggage park closer to the doors. One are for the stairs and is open. The other is closed but you can ring so that they can open the door for you. That’s the entrance to the pool saune fitness but also the elevator. Go up to the reception on floor 0. Must visit place when in the neighborhood. I really recommend it.

The property was large and had plenty of room to roam around. The bar area was great to hang out in and the staff there were very helpful.Everyone spoke English and that assisted us a lot. The restaurant staff was hit or miss on helpfulness and attitude towards guests. All and all a good stay.

Decent hotel, very bad service

The service in this hotel, especially in the restaurant, is terrible. I stayed here a year ago and had not been back since due to the service during my first stay. Unfortunately, I found myself in a bind and had to stay at the Fletcher again. Big mistake ... the service is still terrible.

Overall, the rooms are nice and the location is good (just off the freeway and only 1km to some restaurants), just the service is really poor

Dirty floor so you slept with grit in the sheets. Paper cups for coffee/tea. When booking we ordered and paid for breakfast - as with two other reservations this was an extra when arrived at hotel! That’s a scam by booking companies. Beware!

Stayed here for a business trip. Room was clean and bed was comfy. No frills but solid stay. Food at the restaurant was very good. Its a bit out of the way but front desk was able to get me a cab in about 10 minutes. I wouldn't stay here with a family but for a business trip, it worked out great.

Nice modern hotel. Good service, clean and well maintained. The bathroom rain shower was delightful. Location is not the best, just beside a huge highway. Taxi or car is necessary. The let down was the restaurant, very expensive, quality of the food fairly mediocre and service very slow.

Has a whole I have no complaints about the hotel, the staff were helpful, like all hotels the cleaners come around to clear the the rooms, although this varied room in times from day-to-day, which could be a little embarrassing if you are indisposed and you did not hear the knock on the door!
Not for me since I along with others arrived by taxi, it isn't the easiest of Hotels to find the entrance, so it could have been rather awkward for someone from another country on their first visit.

I did miss the mushrooms for breakfast, after Monday which I do like with Egg.

Nice hotel - shame about the busy road

I have a comfortable stay at the hotel. However this was interrupted by traffic at 4.30am. I would recommend this hotel as a business stopover but remember to ask for a room away from the main road.

Very nice Hotel

We stayed 7 nights at the Mercure hotel and must say that we enjoyed our stay. We had chosen the hotel / region as it was fairly central and would be a base for exploring Holland. It was a stones throw from the A2 motorway so ideal if you have a car as we did. The Hotel itself is modern and both our room and the other facilities were well presented and clean. All the staff we met were cheerfull and polite which helped to make our stay a very pleasant experience. We had included Breakfast with our booking so enjoyed the Buffet breakfast each morning. There is plenty of choice of Hot and cold food as well as fruit and cerial etc to chose from.

We ate in the restaurant each evening and there was a good selection of dishes with a number of specials available and the quantity was generous.

Parking was free in the covered car park (P1) and we were issued exit passes for each day with others available on request if needed. The entrance is at the side of the hotel, get a ticket on entry but use one of the supplied for free exit.
Wifi was also free and we received good reception in all the public areas as well as our room (4th floor).
There was a small fridge in our room that we used for Milk and a safe thet took our laptop etc which was number coded (your choice of pin) and easy to use.
TV was a flat screen and there were a number of english channels available to chose from.

We would certainly use the Hotel again.

Nice Hotel- not much around

Hotel is lovely, clean. It was central to where we needed to be using the bus services. (Galecop) However there is nothing around, if you don't want to eat or drink within the hotel you will struggle to find anywhere without a bus or tram or taxi. Nearest City is Ultrect and is 30 mins away on the bus. All in all lovely hotel.

First trip to Holland but not last!

Had a four night stay at the Mercure from 5 to 9 July with my ten year old daughter. Hotel was very clean, staff extremely pleasant and helpful (I asked for soya milk and it was there for me at breakfast every morning after that). The breakfast was lovely, fresh rolls and croissants etc. Even chocolate cake which impressed my daughter! The room was very quiet, no view but that does not interest me in a city break, quietness is the important factor. It was also very comfortable and clean and airconditioned. The air condition is a bit noisy but it was not a problem. Overall I had a lovely stay and would definitely stay there again.

This is an immaculate hotel. Staff were very helpful and looked as if they meant it. Room was very contemporary with all you need for a pleasant stay. Ate in the restaurant where food was very tasty and well presented. Breakfast was good but just a bit pricey.
Access from the main A2 could not be easier but it is worth knowing that to park you drive right round the back of the hotel and enter garage designated P1. To enter hotel use the entrance on the left via hotel intercom. That way you get to use the lifts. Otherwise you have to use the stairs but only one flight.
Bus stop to Utrecht is only 200 metres away and it takes about 20 minutes. Take number 74.
Don't recommend driving into town as road systems are very complicated. The Dutch really optimise the use of their driving space.

Mercure Hotel = GREAT service and quality

In my experience with hotels is that it is always nicer on the pictures, but i gotta say that this hotel has a high standard on the regular rooms.
Very nice interior and a real big, good and comfortable bed.
The only thing that \"ruins\" the room is the shower.
There is only a small glass wall that seperates the shower from the rest of the bathroom. And you cant really prevent from getting water all over the floor.
But thats the only thing thats negative about it.
All in all they have great service and a very nice bar, restaurant and recreational facility.
If you have to stay in Nieuwegein or Utrecht I would definately recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a very nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and modern.
The only minis is that we did make a booking in June 2011 for Feb 2012 and we did pay already. Arriving at the hotel there was now booking. Luckily there where more then enough rooms. The lady at the reception was very help full to give as a room just on our word.
Overall we had a good time at the hotel for the 3 nights.

A nice hotel by Euro standards with free parking, air conditioning etc.

Good Breakfast.

Bathrooms howevfer has a glass partition between the shower area and the interior of the room. This may be good and kinky for some people but I think it woudl be totally out of character for older people, couples, or two professional sharing a room.

One has to wonder what the designers had in mind. I like a little privacy when I'm taking a shower.

Just what I needed!

The Mercure Hotel was perfect. It was easy to get to and only a few minutes drive from my companies offices. The rooms were very clean and comfy and the service was great as well. I didn't get chance to review the surrounding area, but I would definately stay there again.

3 nights in Niuwegein

Second visit to this hotel and once again enjoyed. My room clean and comfortable. Only negative was the shower. Whoever installed this did not have the foresight to put on a door with the consequence that water splashes all over the bathroom floor.
The highlight of the hotel is the restaurant which serves a simple but high quality menu. Enjoy!

I only stayed one night here but will be back for more when I have more meetings in Utrecht. This is a very comfortable hotel at a very decent price with good food and comprehensive services that would meet any needs.

I am finding that the Accor Group offer a far more relaxed level a type of service than the American chains which I find personally very reassuring rather than the more templated approach of others and this hotel is a perfect example.

Stayed here on business and everything was what I expected from a business hotel.

Fitness centre was just a few machines of which a few were not working which was a shame as there was space for more.

Hotel would be good if it offered free wireless internet as it is a business hotel and its guests would appreciate that service.

Good value hotel with comfortable facilities. However, the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom is partly glazed and anyone showering will be visible to his/her room-mate. It's quite odd and unique in my experience, but will doubtless appeal to exhibitionists!

Prima hotel voor een korte overnachting voor een cursus. Goed aan te rijden via de snelweg.
Faciliteiten op de kamer aanwezig zoals kluisje, koelkast en koffie/thee.
Bed lag prima.
Met tussendeur naar andere kamer wel gehorig.
Ook is er een raam tussen de kamer en de badkamer; de luxaflex houden het licht vanuit de badkamer niet voldoende tegen, waardoor het lastig is als iemand ‘‘s nachts naar het toilet gaat.
Prima ontbijt met o.a. vers gebakken brood, bananenbrood en diverse keuze losse broodjes/croissants. Helaas geen lactosevrije alternatieven bij het buffet.
