Staff and hotel were beyond expectations. It’s 5 star service (wasn’t expecting it), nice little gym, nice bed, great shower, good food, lobby store etc

Interesting that’s it’s in a mall though… the area around the train station and inside the mall seemed rather sketchy and sometimes unsafe. It seemed loud at night with yelling, people sleeping on benches etc.

This hotel is centrally located. In general clean and service is done everyday. Nice decorated. Friendly staff.

When you arrive by train, walk straight to the mall Hoog Catharijne and then go to ground floor (0). In front of Vascobelo you will find the main entrance.

I arrived too early for check-in. The staff offered to keep my bags until I could check in. When asked how my travels had been, I commented that I was tired and couldn't wait to brush my teeth. I was immediately given a tooth brush and the smallest toothpaste ever so that I could brush them before my room was available. I spent one night here, and then traveled to Paris, returning 4 nights later before my return back to the US. The staff happily kept my large bag for me. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, I was grateful for the gym there. This was my second trip to Urecht, and also my second stay at the Crowne Plaza. It's so convenient for proximity to the train station.

Lovely once you find it

Difficult to find from train station, no markings. Only when we went into shopping centre did we see one sign to go straight and after that another hotel was mentioned. We eventually found it when we accidently went into a side of the shoppibg centre.

When returning to the hotel at night, there were loiterers in front of the hotel entrance inside the mall that were loud and at times yelling at passers by and seemingly wanting to cause trouble. Security at the mall and hotel should not allow this behavior.

The hotel is clean, modern and well appointed, and the staff (especially the restaurant staff) are very friendly helpful and an absolute credit to the business. The bed is comfortable, the shower is modern, clean and has excellent water pressure and the house staff do a wonderful job.
One of my favourite points was the quality of the breakfast buffet. It's the standard European breakfast range, but without the quality problems that usually present themselves at other hotels. The food is on par with most 5* hotels that we've stayed in.

Difficult to find for traveller

Our arrival was very poor regarding finding the hotel. We had no idea the entrance was inside the shopping mall. The entrance opens to an empty lobby, containing no staff, but there are just elevator doors. Reception is on level 3, but no clear signage at the front door indicates this.
Positives: location, clean room, great shower.
Negatives: unwelcoming / stressful arrival, coffee/tea facilities not being replenished properly. No real sugar, and limited choice of tea bags.

Really enjoyed my stay (despite it being only for one night 😅). Beds were nice and comfy.

Bathroom was brilliant and had everything I expected. There was some kind of fan/drilling sound from the bathroom that stayed on even with the lights off but it didn't disrupt my sleep.

The TV is probably one of the best TVs I've had in a hotel room (4K HDR) all with smart apps pre installed. It would have been nice to provide a HDMI port for guests to use for laptops or games consoles but that would have just been a bonus in my opinion.

Great location with great views, literally minutes away from the central station with about a 30min train ride from Schiphol airport.

Would highly recommend.

Great business hotel - everything you need!

I have stayed at this hotel 5 or 6 times now, whilst on business trips to Utrecht. It has always been a great place to stay, given the level of comfort and price point for a good 4* hotel.
Location - right in a shopping mall and a short stroll from a) the station and b) the old town. Plenty of eateries within a short distance, too.
The rooms are comfortable with plenty of sockets, a decent coffee machine and big TV.

Comfortable and extremely convenient

Sat right on top of the sparkling Hoog Catharijne shopping mall, right next to Utrecht Centraal station, the hotel is literally a bridge to Utrecht's historic and beautiful moated citadel. Bars, cafes, restaurants, monuments and boat tours are within a short walk, and the hotel itself is a cozy and friendly hideaway with firm, comfy beds and lovely bathrooms.
The staff we met were great, but the hotel is very efficient and needed very little interaction with them for a pleasant stay.

Definitely unique. Modern high rise built next to the main train station and within an indoor mall. Literally enter from inside the mall. It's in the heart of the city and there is plenty to do in terms of sight seeing, shopping, and dining. Easy peasy. Modern architecture with a unique flair.

Tiolivrendenburg Visit

Nice quiet hotel in a perfect location for visiting Tiolivrendenburg etc. Part of the railway station complex and Mall so good access and choice of food. Price was very high for a solo guest. Breakfast was an ok 6 out of 10.

This property is located within the mall by the train station. Once we figured out how to get there, everything was perfect! We were very warmly greeted at the 3rd floor reception and our room was as expected for this hotel chain. Everything spotless, and the bed, linens, towels, amenities wonderful.

A great hotel in Utrecht.

Great Stay - Would Visit Again

Great location. Not sure how to enter at night if not checked in, I had one guy run in the door behind me and get in the elevator with me, which is kinda sketchy considering who is hanging around the station late at night.

The hotel itself was a real 4star. Laundry service was reasonable, location was superb, the hotel is very cool looking - kind of like a big air ship - and has super long hallways. I loved the bathroom tub, one button simplicity for the exact perfect temperature to get in right away. I would definitely stay again and recommend. Utrecht is a beautiful city to visit and already very busy with tourists. Wildflowers abound.

Great experience overall! We didn’t realize we booked a night here during the Pride Festival, so getting to the hotel from the train station was shoulder to shoulder. The front desk staff warned us about the noise from the festival and we could hear the noise from our room however the noise was done by 1130pm on a Saturday night which we thought was fair! Room and property was clean! Rooms plenty big! We enjoyed our stay in Utrecht!

very convenient to train station and basically inside a gigantic shopping mall so plenty of shopping opportunities. But also convenient to the old town. To avoid rush in the morning, we opted for the hotel’s breakfast which was quite comprehensive and good, comparable to smaller independent hotels .

When we arrived the reception informed we weren't due to arrive until June, then offered us a basic room with no apologise, Manager Nikkolas became involved and eventually sorted us out.
Room was not great Seats stained, Blood on net curtains covering window, horrible large brown stain on quilt (which they did change).
Not a great experience for the money we paid.

Fantastic stay!

The location inside a mall is very convenient as there are food places and supermarkets very nearby. In addition, it is next to the station. To look for the entrance, it is necessary to head towards the basement - even this was hard to find as the mall is large! The staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. The room was also large, and the bed extremely comfortable. I strongly recommend this hotel!
