Spacious rooms, close to a bus stop but quite a bit further from the city’s main attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the property looks and feels exceptional. We really enjoyed the restaurant on premises.

I was only there for one night. A lovely hotel. I just wish I had, had the time to try the facilities.
My only issue was the marshmallow pillows. Even with 2 they were far too soft. I resorted to using the cushions, supplied.

This is a gem of a hotel tucked away in an industrial estate but indoors it’s quiet, staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are comfy and clean and there’s a relaxed vibe.
It’s a 10K walk to and through Maximapark but well worth it - just annoying that the nearest bridge over the motorway doesn’t allow bikes or pedestrians so you spend less time in the park.

Hi, lovely hotel and spacious resturant. Had a wonderful breakfast in the morning and enjoyed the spa area then too although your not allowed to use the spa in the evening unless you private book And pay extra for it? Then the dinner rates were extremely expensive and not a tasteful menu. The location was also very hard without a car and I struggled with a train, bus Then walking just to reach there, had to then pay twice to get uber's back and forth to my venue and reason for staying at the hotel at all, And the room was cold, heater didnt work and no real air con to use. Standard dutch issues.

This is a first class hotel but quite pricy. Excellent facilities but not a huge choice in the food options. You’re offered an expensive basic menu and invited to upgrade to a fairly typical menu for an extra payment. There’s little or no local competition so once you’re sitting there it’s a gun to your head. It’s an ugly metaphor but also an ugly business strategy. The room was great, very warm and comfortable but I’d prefer a bit more choice.

Nice hotel but odd setup

Lovely hotel, staff very efficient and good at what they do. Breakfast was lovely as well. However the hot tub, sauna etc wasn't available outside of the hours 7-10 in the morning. Granted the hotel is mainly for business people so wouldn't have expected the leisure facilities to be open in the middle od the day. However i would have expected them to be open in the evening, more so than between 8:30 & 10 in the morning.

I had a two night stay in the Carlton President and chose it as I struggle to sleep with noise. I was not disappointed. The staff were friendly, the facilities excellent (I was sad not to have realised there was a health centre & spa and hadn’t packed clothing to enjoy these areas), the restaurant had good breakfast and dinner options and the bed was devine. The place was immaculately clean. The location meant it was handy to get into the centre by bus (a few minutes walk away) with good connections to main roads and sufficient parking. They have bicycle rental and I took the bike paths out to castle de Haar - a 25 min cycle - and was not disappointed. I would recommend a stay here to anyone and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you to all the staff.

Nice hotel and friendly service but There is not a shuttle service into town as promised on the expedia site. The staff did offer to taxi us one way on one of the days although the bus was easy to take into the city...there was a significant cost. Also there was a mosquito problem in the rooms which the staff apologized for and said that they were aware and were working on it.

The distance from the hotel was far from the center of town. We had to take a bus which cost us $10 euros a day however the website says transport within 20 k is free. After a discussion with the manager they did provide one free ride.

Also the website says that spa included but only until.1 am then pay from 2 onward.

The rooms are spacious and clean, however we opened our window overnight and were awaken with a room full of mosquitoes.

They should have screens.

The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff great.

. I booked 2 rooms and 1 came upgraded. VIP rewards included free breskfasts and 1 free drink at the restorant. Treap to Amsterdam is about 30 min and free parking. Good looking place and nice front desk ladies had made our stay pleasant and comfy. I would recomend this place to any traveler with a good taste and it is worth the money spent.

I really liked the fact that the hotel is really unique in it's style. Beautiful matched colours and surprising when you walk in.
The exterior looks a little bit old, but you forget that instantly when you walk in.
Really nice staff at the reception and awesome service that the mini bar is included in the Deluxe room.
Definitely planning to come back here one day. The to try the food and the spa!

We stayed one evening for attending a marriage close by. Everything was well arranged. Super friendly reception! The rooms are clean and nicely designed. The beds...it’s the first time I got a wake up call from the reception that I needed to checkout. Totally overslept. I haven’t slept so deep and good for a long time :)

A very pleasant experience

Very relaxing stay and great value for money! The breakfast was excellent and worth every penny! Loved the spa area too, however it could use one or two chairs for relaxation. There're not much to see in the local area, however there are good 24/7 transport links to the city center and train stations. Would definitely come back during my next trip to NL!

Good for two night stay

Hotel staff is very friendly, lobby very stylish, but the rooms are a bit outdated. Everything was fine but I was expecting a little more from a 4 star hotel. Bathroom is stocked only with basic stuff. Hairdryer was not very powerful. There are electric charging stations in the hotel parking lot. Bring your own cable if you need to charge your car.
hotel is a mere hour away from den Hague and Amsterdam.There was not many restaurants near the hotel but there was a Lidl close by. Hotel entrance is very small. We missed it the first time.
Overall we had everything we needed for our two night stay.

It will be great when it’s finished! The staff were super helpful but the construction work took the edge from my stay. There are also few alternatives for dining within walking distance, however it looks like it will be a great place to stay once finished.

The hotel is being renovated so if they can't deliver on customer service they should close it till they finish with the renovation!
No room service available
Restaurants are not opened
Kettle in the room is broken
Noise from the Terrace BBQ (substitute for restuarnat) till late, I could hear it in my room so didn t have a good sleep
No complementary water you have to pay for it
Stuff from the mini bar were opened! Don't know why housekeeping didn t check before checking in a customer
Overall it was an unpleasant stay

Lovely spacious hotel with very friendly staff.
The only negative was the smell of cigarette smoke - I guess as people smoke on the balconies the smell comes in to the rooms and corridors. I wondered if they had considered putting all smokers in one area of the hotel to avoid this problem.

Pay extra for beds

This hotel, though said to be a VIP hotel, is average. The beds are not comfortable, and you’ll have to pay extra (not included in price quoted) for an additional bed in a room if you booked more than 2 in a room. One of the receptionist there is also very rude, and the prices for extra add ons is just overwhelmingly expensive.

As a motorist, this Hotel is easily reached from the highway, parking is plentiful and rentable bikes make a short trip to Utrecht possible.
For your stop over or business trip, Bar, Restaurant and recreational offers in the hotel are more than well suited.

Bad experience for the price

Unfortunately yet another hotel where one gets nickled and dimed.
I don't think 8 EUR parking fee, given the distance to the city centre, is justifiable. Bike rental is 15 EUR what they call a daily rate. In their perception daily rate doesn't mean 24 hours but till the end of the day. I.e. if one arrives at 5pm, checkouts at 10am the next day, go once more to the city centre and return the bike at 5pm then gets charged a day and half for 24 hours of rental. I haven't experienced this pricing logic in other hotels yet.

Overall experience is average but not worth the price.

Great hotel, recommended.

The hotel was nice and clean, friendly staff, all amenities included. Located at a few minutes walk to a bus stop that takes you to the Central station from where on you can go all directions. The hotel is mainly intended for business. Great restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Renovations were taking place but no inconveniences encountered. Will stay there again next time.

Fine hotel, friendly staff.

Everything was as expected, except for the airco in one of the rooms we had. It wouldn't cool, instead it blew warm moist air making the room feel tropical. We didn't confuse cooling from heating as it worked fine in the other room. We reported it to the staff, unfortunately it was not repaired for the second night.

The hotel and staff were lovely and very helpful. Our family room was good and quite. We travelled to
Utrecht on the bus . We found the bus to be very expensive. (Eur 4.40 each way) . Once in Utrecht at the station information was very good and we got a train to Amsterdam. Trains are
very frequent and on time. Would probably look for a hotel
nearer to some life next time.

Very nice hotel, let down by additional charges

Very nice, clean, friendly, comfortable hotel. Surprisingly quiet considering it's location close to major roads. I did feel that I was being charged for things I had not been warned about every time I moved - Car parking (This was deducted when paying), additional bed charge (no option to pay in advance and no warning), city tax (No warning). The breakfast was very good, fresh and plentiful, although expensive (€15). None of the above would stop me going there again and I would recommend the hotel, but now I will be prepared for the charges.
