Hotels in the Netherlands can be pretty pricey, so we found a more budget-friendly one in Woerden. It’s doable to commute from there to Leiden, which was our pickup spot for Keukenhof. The receptionist could’ve been nicer when telling us which doors to use—there weren’t really any signs showing where to go in or out. Overall though, it’s a super quiet place in a residential neighborhood.

Checked in and was not informed that restaurant was closed.Later when wanting to eat told it was closed but not told about a restaurant close by.
Instant coffee in room was dated 2020 and was not replenished by housekeeping
Car park was full( not many spaces)had to drive around the area before finding street parking about 600 metres from hotel.
Requested a wake up call with the manager but not received.
Voiced my complaints on check out(1day early) and was told the manager would contact me which hasnt happened

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location

Fantastic hotel, extremely clean in a wonderful location. The town its self is delightful to explore and the hotel has the benefit of being extremely close to the train station from where you can be in most Dutch cities very quickly. It's around 20 euros for a day return ticket to Amsterdam Central. The staff at the hotel were very nice and the hotel is in fantastic condition. Parking seems to be quite easy to find on the streets by the hotel but they also have parking available for €7.50 a night.

Woerden - the prettiest town in Holland?

Woerden was a complete surprise to me - such a hidden gem! Hotel conveniently located only few minutes easy walk to heart of the old town. Plenty of free street parking around the hotel too.

Great location walkable to restaurants and town. The room was spacious for 3 individuals with a beautiful view of the canal. Cleanliness was on point. The whole area was peaceful, even with a walking path right below the room.

The only snafu we had was that we were charged at check in for the room, when I had already prepaid on Expedia. I had asked when checking in if I hadn't already paid, but they said no. I realized the error when we got to our room and I rechecked my emails. I went back to the front desk and after some discussion and being stuck on Expedia's hold for 45 minutes the desk figured out the error and refunded me in cash for the double charge. I appreciated their help in resolving the matter and found them to be honest.

An ideal location

This hotel was a good choice for us as we attending a wedding in Utrecht and the family are based in Bodegraven. The refurbishment has been done to a high standard and it was good to have on site parking at a modest cost. The choice of bar snacks was a little disappointing but we understand the management are in the process of reviewing the menu.

Excellent Hotel in the Green Heart of Holland

The hotel, overlooking a lovely canal or river, is situated in Woerden - a small place in the green heart of Holland, excellent if you like going on country walks but not so good if you prefer the attractions of city life. Having said that, the large city of Utrecht is only ten minutes away by a frequent train service, so you could experience something of both the countryside and the city.

I think I should mention that the breakfast at the hotel was 11 euros a day. If this is too much then there are several cafes in the nearby town centre but only one supermarket (named Albert Heijn).

Great little hotel with great location

I stayed there for 2 weeks on a recent business trip. The hotel is completely new refurbished. Although on the smaller side, and the room was cosy, the bed big and comfortable and there was enough space for a desk, a spacious wardrobe and a lounge chair. The Bathroom is big enough with a large walk-in shower. The free WiFi is excellent on speed and quality and the TV has USB slots so it's possible to watch movies from a USB stick, etc.
The hotel is ideally located, just 5min walking distance from Woerden train station where a train trip to say Amsterdam is about 40min and costs 17Euros for a daily return ticket.
Breakfast is great. Dinner is not. However, there are numerous nice restaurants within walking distance that cater for a great dinner experience. I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel fitted our bill perfectly. The only criticism, if there are any, was the road noise outside, which the hotel cannot really do anything about, and the poor quality of the pillows. If the hotel improved the quality of the bedding that would be superb. Apart from that - brill. Breakfast was marvellous too.

Great base a stones throw away from great cities

Good train to Amsterdam, Rotterdam and other surrounding cities! I booked thinking it was in Amsterdam city centre as I didn't check the maps but I was not disappointed at all because there were regular trains to different cities throughout the day. Woerden itself is very quiet and there is not much to do but it's a good base to sleep.

I stayed during NYE and the manger was so kind and let me check out at 2pm instead of 12 because of the new year. My room was way bigger than I expected due to the pictures, it was very spacey and super tidy. Very close to the train station, felt safe since it’s only possible to enter the hotel with a card and I will definitely come and stay again.

Très bon séjour, l'hôtel est bien situé dans Woerden dans un quartier tranquille, au bord d'un petit canal.
Chambre confortable. L'hôtel a 2 bâtiments reliés entre eux.
L'assenseur est côté réception.
Buffet de petit déjeuner un peu juste mais convenable.
Personnel ne parlant pas le français, donc anglais obligatoire pour les non néerlandophones.
Point négatif : le parking 😞
5 places en extérieur dans la cour de l'hôtel (dont 2 réservées aux véhicules électriques 11kw), 5 en sous sol.
Par contre la plupart sont compliquées d'accès (il faut manœuvrer).
Pour les places pour véhicules électriques, le civisme n'est plus de ce monde malheureusement donc skatées par des véhicules thermiques.

Une nuit suffit

J’avais pris un hôtel où il était marqué que les langues parlées étaient le Français, Néerlandais et Anglais… Personne ne parlait Français, une fois arrivé dans la chambre nous nous sommes retrouvés face à une chambre sale, des papiers des anciens voyageurs étaient encore présents, la poussière était bien plus que présente, des traces sur le miroir de la salle de bain, et j’en passe. Cependant, la vue de la chambre était belle, de quoi nous redonner un peu de bonheur… Je doute que la chambre ait été nettoyée ?

Het was fijn dat we een plekje hadden om te slapen maar de ligging van dit hotel is niet zo bijzonder.
Zicht vanuit de kamer was op het miniscule terras van het restaurant. De kamer had wel wat reparaties nodig zoals de gordijnen. Viel vooral tegen omdat we Gouda gewend zijn. Daar is het veel ruimer en plezieriger

Mysigt hotell i trevlig stad

Mysigt hotell med väldigt trevlig personal. Ligger i ett fint bostadsområde så man får en känsla av trygghet även nattetid. Vi ankom runt midnatt men möttes trots det av ett varmt välkomnande och oerhört hjälpsam och trevlig receptionist.

Er is slechts voor een handje vol auto's plek om te parkeren. Dame achter de receptie kon me niet vertellen of ik mijn auto aan de overkant neer mocht zetten, kwam niet met een alternatief.
Mijn kamer was 2 deuren van een servicekamer af, waar ze voor 7 uur druk bezig waren zonder rekening te houden met de hoeveelheid lawaai.

Ontbijt was geen 16 euro waard, allemaal houdbare producten. Geen probleem wanneer je 8 euro voor je ontbijt moet betalen, wel als je 16 betaald.
